Top Notch

5/5

This book amazes me even though I have been involved with pathfinder since the initial beta release. A credit to Paizo and the gaming industry as an example of how it should be done. 600 pages and beautifully laid out makes the final release of Pathfinder core rules well worth the cost asked. BUY IT!

Not sure...

2/5

I'm not sure if WoTC released corrections to this but I got one of the earlier pressings of this and it has many inaccuracies on it system wise. WoTC stated on there message boards that it was released shortly before they decided to change some of the tables on it. Otherwise its ok, its a DM's screen it isn't groundbreaking literature lol!

Lackluster

2/5

I'm a harsh critic when it comes to adventures which leads me to usually avoid them but I picked this up because I was curious what the first 4e FR adventure would look like for Forgotten Realms. Well its nice looking and I suppose well laid out but utterly uninspiring.

Lotsa' Power Creep in these pages!

2/5

Decent art, fairly well laid out. Only issue I had with it was the level of power creep in the pages of this book. If you want crunchy munckin gear this is your book for 4e... Well till the next book comes out!

Not worth the money

1/5

Save your money. There are tons of gaming products out there far more worth your hard earned cash. That's all I will say on that matter.

Now this is more like it!

5/5

As a fan of the 3.5 system I was amazed and ecstatic to find the Pathfinder RPG. It fixes many of the flaws with the 3.5 system and its only in Beta, which makes me salivate for the final product! I am also happy to find a small company that is trusting enough in its clientele to allow us to help make the product the best it can be by giving us a chance to play test the game before the final version!

Say it isn't so..

2/5

This book was a huge letdown.. I have been a huge fan of the realms since the release of the gray box set. First off its more of a book for the DM with very little player information. Players will want the player's guide to be released in September. Many of the god's that have been a part of the realms for the longest time are gone and for no good reason. Races that have existed in the realms since the start are just gone in a way with very little information as to why. Meanwhile races that have been optional for the most part now have realms of there own which has led to some butchering of the history associated with the realms(Abeir)... All I can say positive is atleast it is recognizeable as the realms and it has some nice artwork.

Sigh...

2/5

Though this book has some wonderful artwork and is decently laid out it falls far short of a product I would spend money on. Its too bad that if you wish to run 4e you need this book..

WoTC again left out much of the ecology of the creatures contained and added many monsters that are more at home in Magic the Gathering then Dungeons and Dragons...

Not a bad effort

3/5

As far as 4e core products go this book is the best which still isn't saying much to be honest. It is decently laid out and illustrated. Has some useful information in it in a fairly clear and concise manner.. It would earn another star from me if it wasn't a fourth edition product.

What were they thinking!

1/5

I have played every edition of Dungeons and dragons and was pleasantly surprised with the release of 3.0 which I thought would be terrible since WoTC had purchased TSR. That said I have no idea what they were thinking with the release of 4e. I have ran and played the system and it would take far more words then I am allowed to list my problems with the new system. The only thing I can say in its defense is this, if it was released under another name instead of a system I have played and loved for 22 years I would give it 2 and a half stars.
