A titanic roar fills the square as Maddok's ritual is finished and the nearby shadows coalesce into Shu-Ak’eh-Di's mighty form. The beastly spirit pummels the nearby fiends and then bellows a command.

The more I think about it, the more I like the idea if dragging him out onto the street and having Derek strike him down. Who better than the actor?


The Beast isn't one to contribute meaningfully in planning for this situation.

I really have no ideas what to do with our pet fiend. Marching out into the street with him seems like a bad idea... Unless it was to make his defeat more public...


We don't have a way to do that in a timely manner.

Anything local? Do we have the location of another Council safehouse?


I feel like we should do something big before we have to return the rental.

Any suggestions?


The Beast recovers from the buffeting wave of negative force only to find the gift of battle denied to him. The massive bovine snorts and shakes his head in disdain, but restrains himself for now. He thunders his disapproval.

A moment later, Maddok's ritual completes and the shadowy Beast envelops him crowding the otherwise wide hallway.

As his form becomes solid, he answers Appario with a thunderous roar.

The Beast discards the slain abomination and snorts sending a mix of steam and star motes into the air. He takes his weapon from Yahirma and returns a grateful nod.

After conjuring a protective ward. The bestial spirit leads the way through the open doors.

With a rising growl, the Beast seizes the monster's mouth parts while forcing its body into the ground.

Oh, sorry about that. I get overly dependent on hero lab. I'll fix it when I get home. I missed the bit about shield expiring. Even with your amazing diligence, it's hard to keep track of the passage of time sometimes.

Once the shroud of magical darkness has vanished, the Beast bellows a thunderous challenge and charges into the room. Once he's in range, he lunges for the demon-spider with his meaty hands.

Not sure on the specific effect of the webs. If they impede movement in a meaningful way, the Beast will try leaping as close to the enemy as possible. Rage and drop his weapon once he's adjacent.

Assuming Yahirma's plan was relayed to him, the Beast will forgo the Stoneskin in favor of moving in to attack once the Darkness is down.

With his host's form mended, the Beast follows behind the tiny armored man eager for battle.


With an unusual amount of deference, the Beast takes the massive weapon from Yahirma and offers her Maddok’s comparatively tiny hammer in exchange. He snorts and paws the ground as she mends Maddok’s bloodied form within the bestial spirit’s shadowy flesh. Do we have reason to believe that the pitfiend’s prison is near?


After the thorns scrape up the Beast's shadow-stuff form, the bestial spirit is more careful around the rest of the dangerous flora.

He pauses and rumbles down at Yahirma in the Shoanti tongue.

As Maddok’s chant reaches a crescendo, the shadows pull towards him and somehow become more substantial. This shadow-stuff piles onto the big shoanti’s brawny frame in waves and shifts in shape until Shu-Ak’eh-Di’s familiar bovine shape appears. With a thundering roar, the bestial spirit discards his host’s hammer and lumbers forward. He lunges and drives his horns into the nearest drake’s underbelly with enough force to tear a tree from the earth.
