Background:
Tarna Magrar was born in 4612 AR in Golushkin hold, the third child and first daughter of Volken Magrar, thane and ambassador among the Golushkin dwarves. A happy child who rarely made a sound, Tarna was the darling of her large family. From an early age she was drawn to the Temple of Torag, where she and her siblings learned honor, wisdom, and craftsmanship. She grew particularly close to her brother Yuri, whose incredible memory and quickness in learning astounded all at the temple. Tarna on the other hand, was quieter, but when she spoke, all who listened found great wisdom in her words, even at a young age. Yuri could be absent-minded and often fool-hearty, whereas Tarna was by far the wiser of the two but never had the grasp for the higher concepts that her brother possesed. Resolute, and sometimes almost stoic, when Tarna spoke it was for good reason, and reason was what she spoke. The two worked together often in the forge, but rarely argued, somehow complementing one another rather than conflicting despite their vast differences. One thing Tarna definitely shared with her brother was a great wanderlust. After she completed her gladdringgardam in 4652 (she chose to seek out her uncle Angrod's gladringgar) she became an acolyte of Torag, studying the divine secrets of the Father of Creation for decades. As fate would have it, in early 4699 she begged Angrod to allow her to accompany him on a hunting expedition he was making into the Grozni Forest. So it was that she was absent from Golushkin when the Vanishing occurred, and she found herself a priestess without a temple. Tarna took to the road, joining with an adventuring group that claimed to be going to join the Fourth Mendevian Crusade to the Worldwound. She had many strange adventures traveling across Numeria and Mendev, but in 4709 she was slain in battle against orcs near the Shudderwood on the border with the Hold of Belkzen. Her surviving companions were taken prisoner, and while they did eventually escape and recover the bodies of their comrades, they had no funds to resurrect them. Tarna's corpse was shipped back to Brevoy in a coffin. Tarna's soul made the journey to the Boneyard, and was awaiting judgement when it was pulled back to the material plane. Her brother Yuri had arranged for her to be raised from the dead. She was arisen, and soon found that her brother, and Torag, had new plans for her people. She swore herself to be her brother's strong right hand, and prepared to forge a new future for her family. Leadership (Squire feat) Spoiler:
