Furthermore, he does not risk poisoning himself when handling or applying poison taken from a venomous creature.

Point-Blank Shot (Ex) Steward gains a +1 bonus on attack and damage rolls with ranged weapons at ranges up to 30 feet.

Relationships

  • Ameiko Kaijutsu: Although she's seen enough of Steward's drunken advances, Ameiko remains - to his better judgment - a friend and an unlikely ally. Steward helped with pest control during the rebuilding of The Rusty Dragon, and works as hired muscle on some nights to make sure that the adventuring clientele of the tavern don't get too rowdy - among other problems. Of course, any hint that his friendship might be anything more is met with knife-point threats. This is not to say that he has not considered the possibility before.

Furthermore, as one of her friends, Steward is guaranteed a place to eat and sleep for free. She's got lots of great contacts with merchants, and she'll sell any of Steward's earnings from his trapping and adventuring for him - granting him an extra 10% over the normal amount of gold pieces that he would normally get from selling off treasure. [Reflavoured favoured son (Ameiko).]

  • Belor Hemlock: The town sheriff regards Steward as reprehensible, an immoral and lawless character. This may be true, but Steward hasn't been caught for any crimes - yet.

  • Jededidah Mor: Steward has heard of a new doctor in town who got in a fight with the local alchemist, but so far has not met Jededidah.

  • Hellknights: The punishment in Cheliax for dereliction of duty and high treason is death. The Order of the Pike, stationed near the Whisperwood, especially has it in for Steward.

  • Na'ra: Ameiko has mentioned Na'ra a couple of times, and Steward sees her occasionally around The Rusty Dragon. Nasha doesn't like birds.

  • Nasha: When he originally deserted the Hellknights, Steward stumbled through the Whisperwood with little clue on where he would go and how he would get there. During his travels he found a forest bear had fallen into a trap, and Steward helped the hapless creature out: Nasha has been Steward's friend and ally ever since. A bear caused a bit of alarm in Sandpoint at first, but by now the townsfolk are comfortable around him. Nasha has helped around the town on more than one occasion, and is friendly with the children - if not slightly protective at times.
