On Alternative XP Bonuses
Well, instead of XP, good RPing might have other benefits? Just as friends are more likely to help you, there could be rewards in the form of items, benefits, reputation, things like that?

Our wizard makes an excellent point as well. I've yet to see bonus feats being awarded for RPing, and it sounds interesting.

On Backstory
The Stoat and his bear can usually be found lounging around in The Rusty Dragon, half-inebriated and acting as a bouncer. He came to Sandpoint sometime after the great fire, and is known for being under Ameiko's employ and occasionally working as a sellsword.

I think it's time to think about how our characters would have interacted with each other before the start of the campaign.

@Minkers: Completely understandable, and yes, I would.

Also, I'm changing Orderic's name to Steward Cavendish, which lends itself quite well to two nicknames: Stoat and Craven. He's such a charming fellow.

I will update my alias page with the hard crunch of numbers soon!

What I am thinking in terms of his connection to Sandpoint, though, is that he came here a few years ago, and is hired help for the town guard, tracking and fighting goblins and other nuisances for the town. He has begrudging respect and even perhaps friendship with Ameiko, the owner of the tavern that he lives in, but he comes into conflict often with the sheriff, who is convinced that he is a lawless good-for-nothing (which he is). Is there anything that we should discuss about his backstory prior to the beginning of the campaign?

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Reference Document wrote:
Ability Scores: The creature's ability scores are listed here. Unless otherwise indicated, a creature's ability scores represent the baseline of its racial modifiers applied to scores of 10 or 11. Creatures with NPC class levels have stats in the standard array (13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8), while creatures with character class levels have the elite array (15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8); in both cases, the creature's ability score modifiers are listed at the end of its description.

I found one reference on how to calculate the racial modifiers for monsters on the PRD website. Is this relevant for us?

Also, a copy-pasta from Bestiary 4: Psychopomp (Catrina) [CR 5]. That will also most likely be her appearance, unless she dons a disguise. Now, for her rolls:

5d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 3, 6, 4) = 15 3+6+4 = 13 (+1)
5d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 6, 6, 6) = 21 6+6+6 = 18
5d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 5, 2, 5) = 16 3+5+5 = 13 (-1)
5d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 4, 5, 1) = 15 4+4+5 = 13 (+1)
5d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 3, 4, 1) = 14 4+3+4 = 11 (-3)
5d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 4, 6, 4) = 22 6+6+4 = 16 (+2)
5d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 3, 3, 1) = 13 4+3+3 = 10 Discarded.

Final scores are: 8, 12, 14, 14, 18, 18. In order, Str 8, Dex 18, Con 14, Int 12, Wis 14, Cha 18.

Fluff and crunch will be forthcoming on the alias page.
