Bad timeing as I haven't been able to post regulary lately but tomorrow I'll be off again until the 1st of August. I'll try to post as often as I can but it will most likely be quite spotty.

"Ah, the curse of a adventurous life. Mystery and intrigue follows Silvio wherever he goes. It is one of the things that makes the great Silvio Callgari Pazzi so interesting and alluring", the chelaxian states before approaching the first Brinewall villager he sees, a youngling peddling fruit at the docks. "You, young man. What can you tell Silvio and his good friends about the giant that calls himself Harshnag?"

"Perhaps we can get a rough estimate where we might find this being.
Silvio knows of your great skills, which Silvio dare claim are second to none, but one of these good citizens might be able to point us in the right direction to expedite our meeting."

"Praying is all well and good, but somewhat superfluous when you are travelling with a seasoned seaman such as Silvio Callgari Pazzi. Silvio is confident that we will evade the frost giant longships as well as any other danger that lurks at sea. Although, would not an encounter with the frost giants present us with an opportunity to learn more about this Harshnag, should we need it."

Silvio momentarily wakes up from what seems to have been a idle trance and locks eyes with the scholar. “Are you saying that you have nothing new to convey to Silvio and his great adventuring friends?”, he says clearly lacking any concept of rhetorical speech.

As Silvio's ego had just erased the unfortunate exchange with the passer by (or at least the "I never heard about you" part of it) the chelaxian is equally confused about Kraz first sentance. Silvio decides that it must be a joke since the odds, at least in the dashing rake's mind, of a villager having heard of him is 1 in 1. Unless of course the person in question was a hermit living under a rock. "Ah, good one friend Kraz. And yes, a drink is a good way to end the day and talk about tomorrows possibilities!"

Human Rogue 4 Fighter 1 | AC 16 (17 when dual wielding) | hp 39/39 | hit dice 4/4d8, 1/1d10 | Second Wind []

There is a slight moment when Silvio freezes and his eyes glazes over as the chelaxian's ego tries to process the fact that the earth does not revolve around him. Within the blink of an eye numerous explanations and coping mechanisms are generated and evaluated. In the end denial and fabrication wins out.

Barely a second passes before the focus returns to the proud swordsman's eyes. "Ah, so you say the talk of the town is the giant menance and the hopes of Silvio and his great friends putting an end to it? Well, never fear, for we have come to Riddleport to seek out the Cyphermages to get to the bottom of this recent threat to the good people of Varsia." Silvio pauses for a moment to let his words sink in and to generate the comfort and peace of mind they deserve before continueing with another question. "Apart from the cyphermages, do you know of any person or party that can tell Silvio more about the giants and their activity in the region? Another scholar perhaps? Or a survivor?"

Human Rogue 4 Fighter 1 | AC 16 (17 when dual wielding) | hp 39/39 | hit dice 4/4d8, 1/1d10 | Second Wind []

"That is not a bad idea, friend Rath", Silvio says and looks down the street. "Good lady, what is the street buzzing about now that the great Silvio Callgari Pazzi, famous swordsman and hero to all, is back in Riddleport?"

Human Rogue 4 Fighter 1 | AC 16 (17 when dual wielding) | hp 39/39 | hit dice 4/4d8, 1/1d10 | Second Wind []

"Chance assumes risk and we have nothing to fear from the darkness, capable adventurers as we are", Silvio states confidently. "Although good friend Kraz has a point. By now the news that the great Silvio Callgari Pazzi is here has surely spread through Riddeport. No doubt there will be luck seekers eager to test their meddle against the great swordsman of Corentyn. So, we should be vigilant."

”Do not fret or worry, good friend Pik! Riddleport is a big city and we are bound to find a roof over our head somewhere within its walls. And once the word gets out that Silvio Callgari Pazzi, the greatest swordman of Cheliax, is visiting we are certain to get invitations. Silvio says this with great surety”, Silvio states confidently. ”You there, where might Silvio Callgari Pazzi, great sea captain and hero to all, and his good friends find a bed for the evening”, he asks a random passer by.

"And for you sergant Southwell, we give our deepest thanks for lending us transportation. We shall ride swiftly and get to the root of these events. That Silvio can promise you!"

"Think nothing of it, dear Captain. It is simply what Silvio and his great friends do", Silvio replies as they are thanked by the captain. "Silvio also thanks you for your hospitality, but wishes not to speak to soon. As memory has it there was talk of scholars in Riddleport that could possible help to shine a light on this mystery, was it not? But, Silvio is confident that we will at least spend a night here to mull things over."

Human Rogue 4 Fighter 1 | AC 16 (17 when dual wielding) | hp 39/39 | hit dice 4/4d8, 1/1d10 | Second Wind []

If left up to Silvio he would go for the more adventrous task, which would be to follow the giants. Although I (as a player) feel it's kind of unrealistic to carry the amount of gold (and quite unresponible as well, since the gold is going to the rebuilding of the village).

So, Silvio is for following the giants but he is also very easy to be convinced of the opposite action.

"Silvio fails to see where the risk is. Silvio is a mere shadow when he wants to. Granted Silvio is not used to these colder climates but he has the full confidence the know-how of Dorin, Rath and Kraz how to navigate these lands", Silvio states. "Although you do have a good point friend Pik. We are in the custody of a chest full of gold. A big part of the future of Roderic's Cove is in our possession. Our duty is to deliver it. After that, Silvio feels that we could loook for answers in Riddleport."

Sorry about not having posted yet. Had a pretty busy easter

Silvio is many things but sadly outdoorsman is not among them. The dashing youngling is unable to provide much assistance with setting up camp, scavaning for food or scout the landscape (except to add abit of flair and star power to some activities). Still, he is in a overall good mood. The group just defeated two fire giants after all.

"Excellent suggestions, good friend Pik. Silvio shall take the evening shift along with his good friend Kraz. His excellent eye sight will prove quite useful during the waning hours of the day."

What do we have to tie the fire giant with?

"So, what do you plan to do when you get back home?" Silvio asks the giant trying to stir up a conversation.

Beaming with confidence (although, how would you tell that apart from "business as usual"?) Silvio watches the fire giantess depart. He sits down and leans his back against the slope and relaxes visibly. "Silvio would like to announce that it is a great honor to travel with such competend companions as yourselves. Silvio sees great things for the future. Silvio knows this."

Sadly Silvio is near useless when it comes to building shelter, fixing a fire, patrolling or anything that has to do with outdoor survival or the wisdom score

"Aha!", Silvio exclaims as the giantess steps into (what he sees as) his cleverly laid trap. "So you admit your unlawful assault on the good people of Roderic's Cove!" He parades back and forth proud as a rooster to let his accusations sink in. "So you are 15 others in a lair. It does not sound like much of a dukedom. What makes this Zalto dukelike?"

"And say that you find all the pieces of this so called artifact, what then? Who will assemble it? And what do this duke of yours expect to do with it?"

Silvio sheathes his weapons with obvious satisfaction. "So, now not only do you seem to understand common, you speak it to. Silvio hopes that you have learned your lesson and next time you heed his words and surrender. You see, Silvio and his good friends are not a blood thirsty band ne'er-do-wells. We do not fight for the sake of fighting. We do have a great sense of right and wrong and you, my giant friends, are in the wrong!" he states gesturing dramatically to emphasize his words. "So, now that the winner of this skrimish is decided without a doubt it is time tell us why you choose to rain down fire on the good people of Roderic's Cove. You can start with this duke Zalto and your mission for him"

Wow, that's some nice tanking Kraz :D Can't keep (take) a good half-orc down!

Bonus action to attack with the off hand: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
If any of the attacks hit, add 2d6 ⇒ (4, 6) = 10 damage for sneak attack

If that results in an explosion:
Dex save: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Damn it!
Don’t roll 11-12, don’t roll 11-12, don’t roll 11-12…

Dex save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15 => success \o/ => 3 or 4 damage (round up or down?)
Dex save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15 => success \o/ => 4 or 5 damage (round up or down?)

Caught by surprise by the magmin's explosive exit the dashing Silvio is nevertheless able to avoid the brunt of the elemental blast by a dextrous somersault.

I've updated my hit points assuming rounding up
