Saan's spirit floated free of his body, rising high. As he left the material plane behind him, his spirit perceived the battle below. He smiled in the knowledge that the monstrous Thkok Tal had fallen to him at the same moment that he had succumbed to his wounds. He felt warm, safe- and felt he had fulfilled his duty. He had kept the others safe, first against the Carrion King's axe and then against the monstrous centipede that may have helped create him. Surely, now he had done enough. Sajan was satisfied- and he knew that he had no doubt done his ancestors proud in his sacrifice. As his spirit raced to the boneyard, it was certain it would not be found wanting. He would dine with his forefathers tonight.

Exception: If a flanker takes up more than 1 square, it gets the flanking bonus if any square it occupies counts for flanking. I misread this at the time, thinking that if you flanked any square of the "flanked" creature it counted as flanking- which meant Sajan had a big fat flank with Grall lol. Its not a bad rule in my opinion, me and Gnoll Boy have a decent chunk of Thkot Tal between us :P.

Reeling from the bite, Sajan stepped to the east and struck a series of powerful blows... The spines on the beast's back tore into him though and he collapsed after several blows... Attacks- All attacks assume higher ground bonus that Grall got. Per the rules for flanking a large creature he also has flanking with Grall. 1d20 + 15 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 15 + 1 + 2 = 38 Attack 1 (First Full BAB Attack, Elemental Fist (Fire))
1d20 + 15 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 15 + 1 + 2 = 20 Attack 2 (Second Full BAB Attack)
1d20 + 15 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 15 + 1 + 2 = 36 Attack 3 (Haste extra attack at full BAB)
1d20 + 15 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 15 + 1 + 2 = 27 Attack 4 (Ki extra attack at full BAB)
1d20 + 15 + 1 - 5 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 15 + 1 - 5 + 2 = 15 Attack 5 (Iterative attack at -5 BAB)
1d20 + 16 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 16 + 1 + 2 = 32 Attack 1 Crit Confirm (First Full BAB Attack, Elemental Fist (Fire))
Assuming 20 hits, 101 damage (if Sajan doesn't collapse from spines halfway through the flurry). Saves- 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27 Fort 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11 Reflex #1
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16 Reflex #2
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25 Reflex #3 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12 Reflex #4
Sajan goes down to -12 after making attack #4, so attack #5 never happens. Hopefully he drops it by attack #3 with the crit happening on the first blow.

Sajan lashed out at the two remaining zombies, pummelling them into defeat. 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (13) + 14 = 27

Sajan would take the first AOO that presented itself, which in theory might end up negating that first crit. As its also a flanking attack, seems logical. Its just irritating that now it appears i'm trying to justify hitting the one that critted him, when it would be his AOO anyway... Acting as bait for a bunch of zombies, my plan was just to down the first one that provoked. If that first one didn't, then fair enough. As the first zombie approached him, Sajan attempted to send it tumbling to the ground with a leg sweep. 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (3) + 17 = 20 VS CMD Assuming success, 1 hit on Sajan for 5 damage.

Sajan drunk the potion in his hand, swelling to ogre-size once again. He then leapt over the others to land on the beginning of the eastern turn, trying to give the others room enough to fight. Jump to -IJ/2021 as part of movement. Won't roll Acro as he has auto-pass and then some.

Before I declare an action- i'd have liked to have Sajan drink a potion of Jump and a potion of Enlarge Person before entering. Any chance we can retcon that in? Doesn't seem too bad as we were obviously walking into a fight. If there wasn't room then scrap the enlarge person but Sajan would have entered holding it. I'm correct in thinking Sajan is fully healed and all ki etc. has refreshed, right? Edit: Made edits.

Sajan would happily scold the Gnoll. If he wasn't sat on the other side of a ball of darkness wondering what was going on. Day after tomorrow I go to a Ukrainian city (sounds like Levoff, I don't know how its spelt) by train then hop aboard the next day for my 3 day coach journey through Europe.

I'll be out of contact until the very end of July, due to a trip to Kiev followed by days spent packing up the flat i'm living in here in Ukraine followed by a 3 day bus journey back. Its easier to just declare my absence now rather than try and keep up with things during this busy time. Roll on August!

Sajan has +25 to acrobatics checks when jumping and is always considered as having a running start. Minus his dexterity bonus, thats +23 and still auto-pass. With the extra ten feet of movement provided by haste (i'd forget to change his speed value to 50), thats +27 with no dex bonus.

Sajan attempted to leap to the nearest post past the pit and continue moving along them until he was clear of the darkness. Don't believe there are any acrobatic DC's higher than Sajan's auto-pass here.

No change in actions. 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24 Reflex (Success) 1d20 + 14 - 2 ⇒ (8) + 14 - 2 = 20 Trip (1st attack)
1d20 + 14 - 2 ⇒ (15) + 14 - 2 = 27 Trip (2nd attack)
1d20 + 14 - 2 ⇒ (14) + 14 - 2 = 26 Trip (3rd attack)

Technically a total of 31 on the trip, forgot to include haste and forgot to take -2 penalty into account. Having knocked the creature down, Sajan relentlessly pummeled it with his enchanted brass knuckles. 1d20 + 13 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 13 + 4 = 18

I did think it was strange I hadn't acted but I didn't really have time to check it. Sajan moved up to the second creature and knocked it down with a powerful shove. 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (19) + 13 = 32 Trip Not sure if I was close enough to flurry or not so i'll add another post or edit this one when DM confirms.

As Joana said, the Accidentally Ending Movement in an Illegal Space clause seems most appropriate here. Its likely to end up moot. Sajan goes before Grall next anyway and the demon's likely to be grappled once more so Grall can stand up regardless.

I'm STILL very confused, sorry. I thought Sajan was now through the darkness and out on the other side firstly? Secondly, is being blinded actually the effect of this darkness, because I thought it usually just provided concealment. Finally (and this is just a check), if the concealment applies to these creatures (suspect it does not) they can't get sneak attack off.

According to map and description Sajan himself is already in darkness so "venturing forth into it" has confused me. Sajan moved through the darkness and emerged out on the other side. M25, think I have a standard left. 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (7) + 12 = 19 Perception.
