Special Abilities:

------------------------------
SPECIAL ABILITIES
------------------------------
Aura (Ex): A cleric of a chaotic, evil, good, or lawful deity has a particularly powerful aura corresponding to the deity's alignment (see the detect evil spell for details).
Celestial Resistance: Aasimars have acid resistance 5, cold resistance 5, and electricity resistance 5.
Channel Energy (Su): Regardless of alignment, any cleric can release a wave of energy by channeling the power of her faith through her holy (or unholy) symbol. This energy can be used to cause or heal damage, depending on the type of energy channeled and the creatures targeted. A good cleric channels positive energy and can choose to deal damage to undead creatures or to heal living creatures. Channeling energy causes a burst that affects all creatures of one type (either undead or living) in a 30-foot radius centered on the cleric. The amount of damage dealt or healed is equal to 1d6 points of damage plus 1d6 points of damage for every two cleric levels beyond 1st (2d6 at 3rd, 3d6 at 5th, and so on). Creatures that take damage from channeled energy receive a Will save to halve the damage. The DC of this save is equal to 10 + 1/2 the cleric's level + the cleric's Charisma modifier. Creatures healed by channeled energy cannot exceed their maximum hit point total—all excess healing is lost. A cleric may channel energy a number of times per day equal to 3 + her Charisma modifier. This is a standard action that does not provoke an attack of opportunity. A cleric can choose whether or not to include herself in this effect. A cleric must be able to present her holy symbol to use this ability.
Crusading Magic: Many aasimars feel obligated to train to defend the world against fiends such as the invaders from the Worldwound. These aasimars gain a +2 racial bonus on caster level checks to overcome spell resistance and on Knowledge (planes) checks. This racial trait replaces the skilled and spell-like ability racial traits.
Halo: Some aasimars possess the ability to manifest halos. An aasimar with this racial trait can create light centered on her head at will as a spell-like ability. When using her halo, she gains a +2 circumstance bonus on Intimidate checks against evil creatures and on saving throws against becoming blinded or dazzled. This racial trait replaces the darkvision racial trait.
Spontaneous Casting: A good cleric can channel stored spell energy into healing spells that she did not prepare ahead of time. The cleric can “lose” any prepared spell that is not an orison or domain spell in order to cast any cure spell of the same spell level or lower (a cure spell is any spell with “cure” in its name).

Background:

Born in Absalom to a poor family Reulin was given to the church of Iomedae before he was a year old. Raised in the church, he felt at home around the trappings of faith, but wasn't initially truly concerned with actually worshipping his goddess. Then he began to have dreams. He dreamed that Iomedae was calling him from far away, calling for his help. And so he worked harder in service of his faith. He began training as a cleric, when he then received another dream, showing what he believed to be the worldwound. So Reulin asked to be sent out with the next shipment of crusaders to Mendev, and thus he arrived in Kenabres. Here he underwent further training as a crusader, pledging his life once again to Iomedae and the fight against the demonic hordes in the worldwound. He has since completed his training, and does work both ministering to the worshippers of Iomedae in Kenabres, as well as going on the occasional foray into the worldwound.

Appearance and Personality:

Reulin is reasonably well built, however he is missing the little finger on his left hand. He has brown hair, and blue eyes that become backlit through with silver when he activates his halo. When looking into the distance, he squints slightly.

Reulin is confident when encountering things or situations he recognises, but is doubtful when he cannot think of what to do, as he has come to rely somewhat on the dreams from Iomedae. When threatened with combat, if his opponent is not an evil outsider, he will try and talk them down, but if forced to fight, he is willing to defend his faith.
