Bio:
Pip was born in the west of Cheliax not far from Devil's Peak. She grew up in the small town of Watershed and spend most of her childhood constantly looking at and daydreaming about the clouds. She especially liked the formations that grew up around the mountains and loved to wander in their foggy banks among the rocky crags and peaks. All this wandering alone inevitably brought the attention of the Strix who watched her closely, but in spite of verbal warnings and some threats of physical reprisal they could not stop her wanderings in and around Devil's Peak. Nothing delighted her more than a clear blue sky dotted with clouds of all different sizes and textures.
Following the voice of the winds, she left her home of Watershed and traveled west to far off Lastwall. She does not yet know why, but her faith is strong, and so is her riding dog Nimbus, who carries her across the miles and obstacles her lame feet would find impossible otherwise. Personality/Appearance:
Pip is probably as close to Bi-Polar as one can get without needing medication. While generally very friendly and sociable, she can fall into fits of anger and depression or be lifted to hours of joyous rapture with little to no warning. She also has a habit of "talking to the wind" in Auran on a regular basis which gives well more than half the people who meet her the initial impression that she's a human child at play. Those same people often whisper that she's getting a little too close to "the sky" and has started to cross the line into truly crazy. Standing at 3 feet, 1 (and 3/4!!) inches with light blue skin and silver-blue hair, Piper has an unusually hard time going unnoticed among the crowds of "Big Folk". Her undeniable charisma, child-like charm, and natural good looks coupled with her obvious infirmity tend to draw all kinds of attention. She usually revels in this magnetism and puts on a show for on-lookers when she feels people will appreciate it. Her skills in acrobatics and escape in spite of her permanently lame foot make for fun displays of calling out bulky, burly men and challenging them to catch her while she spins and dances around their clumsy attempts to snatch either her and her colorful dancing ribbons. To date, she has only been caught twice. Once by a More-agile-than-he-looked sheep herder and once by a monk on pilgrimage. Piper tends to have fits of just about everything: happiness, sadness, annoying persistence, dance, song, vomiting Some could say that even her breathing comes in fits. Thankfully she tends to stay on the happy side of the emotional pendulum. |
