Krisaga motions to Victoria as she speaks once more to the goblin.

While Krisaga does her talking in goblin, Johenrc nods.

Perception DC 17:

Bluff: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17 being performed by Johenric.

It is obvious that Johenric does not have a clue about what has been said in goblin language. Most likely he is too pride to admit he does not speak the language goblin.

Male Half-Elf Wizard/9

Konowledge Local Ustalav: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21

Johenric waits for the answer.

Male Half-Elf Wizard/9

As the rider stops...

Obviously Pharasma's filaments have led you here. I am sure there is a reason to. Are you willing to share your name with us?

Short break and before the rider can answer, Johenric adds.

Apologies, where are my good manners. My name is Johenric.

Male Half-Elf Wizard/9

Johenric observes the whole scene.

Obviously these methods are simple - not to say primitive - lets see how effective they are.

Male Half-Elf Wizard/9

Johenric being a person who has learned to achieve his goals due to diplomacy is fascinated by the methods of Krisaga.

Fascinating.

Male Half-Elf Wizard/9

Johneric emerged from behind the coach, obviously the sound of the conversation has brought him back from his intellectual world. He turns to Krisaga.

We haven't met yet. My name is Johenric. I was bound to hear your conversation. I am interested: what do you suppose to do with the goblin?

Headchop wrote:
Uh...me corporal! Headchop is name! We are very many...command structure is: I give commands!

By the way Headchop, did I mention the herd of horses...

Male Half-Elf Wizard/9

Well, however you formulate your questions it is impressive for a goblin to speak the common language. Most of the goblins only talk their native tongue. Therefore I assume he is not a "standard" version of a goblin. Solaric, you should consider this during your interrogation. And if he does not answer, I we should consider to hand him over to somebody who forces him to answer - for example with magic.

Male Half-Elf Wizard/9
Solaric wrote:
"Johenric, is this a strange sight to you? These wagons were transporting coffins? What do we have here?"

Well, given the condition of the cargo next to the wagons and the coffins on the wagons, I suspect the remains we see belong to a vampire. In addition the clothes indicate that the vampire has been female.

For the time being Johenric remains seated in the sattle of his horse.

Solaric, I believe this are good news to you, no?

Looks like some of my kin don't want to wait for the siege...I can't condemn them..out folk is of a travelling nature, staying and defending a city on the walls isn't natural for us.

This behavior is from an nature perspective a good strategy to survive. The only thing that matters is, if a living being adapts to a new situation. The qualities the mankind and the elfs value and are proud of - such as intelligence, might, etc. - represent only ways to adapt to a situation.

"With some reluctance, I have let Victoria negotiate peace with Lucretia. Our next step is to determine the status of that meeting. I have no doubt in Victoria's skill at charm and grace. she can clearly handle herself in any debate or conversation dealing with tact and subtley, but I do not trust Lucretia all that much. All in all, we have threats from within and threats from without the city. If he can keep the threats from within at bay, then we may have a chance at fighting the battles outside! This is where I have great concern around Lucretia and her minions. I simply wish that I had not involved myself with her in the first place."

Even the best Diviner can not tell with certainty what will happen, or why something has happend. Of course the result is what matters at the end in this world, but the reasons why you do what you do, constitute you as the person you are. With the knowlege you have now, you may disagree with your decisions of the past. But that is not important: important is, that the decision of the past have been taken without knowing the outcome. And from this perspective I trust you did take the best decision. See it from the perspective of the past, not from the present.

What I mentioned is obviously only valid for non-diviners....

Male Half-Elf Wizard/9

Solaric, now as we have tested the horse theory about goblins fear, what is our next step?

Gregori wrote:
We'll charge them...on horseback...these snow goblins fear horses, I've seen them flee before. I will shoot one down...though not wounding him lethally...that one will give us some answers.

Let's prove the fear of goblins.

Male Half-Elf Wizard/9

Johenric stands next to Solaric and nods.

Male Half-Elf Wizard/9

Hi Guys, I have to apologize, as I did not post in the recent past. Currently my mind is completely occupied with my phd thesis where I have a deadline to meet on 31.12.2013. I know this is not an excuse, but it is an explanation.

Male Half-Elf Wizard/9
Victoria wrote:
"Until then I will be in the library finding out who is next in line to be running this place - who will be ruling Karcau now the Countess no longer graces us, and who will be leading its defence against that army out there... important questions."

Johenric nods

Victoria, as soon as the sun rises we will walk to the library and find out the answers about the royal bloodline. It is the first thing we do tomorrow; but for now I need to rest.

Male Half-Elf Wizard/9

Although Johenric always looks quite reserved, his voice sounds quite sympathetic. In a way it appears that Johenric is glad to be meet Solaric or to be back in the city...

Solaric, it is good to see you. First of all I send you my condolence. The water is close to the city; as much as we could bring.

Once Victoria has started to explain the social situation, he listens and became quite. At the end he adds:

Well I am not sure about the overall situation, but should we not take care first about the approaching army?

Male Half-Elf Wizard/9
Victoria wrote:
"Thank you my Draconic friend, one day soon we will share a land together, where both of us will be afforded the due respect we deserve. You will be known as a dark hero, and afforded the proper accolades. For now, we return to Karcau and see what has transpired in our absence"

Johenric joins by saying

Not only because of the functional aspect of traveling but also because of this experience: Thank you very much.

Male Half-Elf Wizard/9
Dragon wrote:
Haven't you met him yourself? The one hushed voices in Karcau call the Ragman. Once a disappointed lover who became the vessel of hate and the lust to kill...

In a friendly tune Johenric replies.

I do not remember that the ragman has been defined as an avatar. But so be it.

While flying on the back of the dragon:

Interesting experience and very functional. I should think about having an equivalent travel opportunity

Male Half-Elf Wizard/9

Johenric approaches the dragon.

You mentioned an Avatar of Norgorber? Which type of avatar have you seen?

Male Half-Elf Wizard/9

After following the words of the dragon, he lifts his head from his notebook and adds

Well to be honest, I do not see why the fountain needs to be destroyed either. As this has been a holy place for Pharasma, it must be the duty of the church to decide what should happen with this fountain.

Male Half-Elf Wizard/9

good scene!

Male Half-Elf Wizard/9

I have the feeling we all should have gone back to Karcau....

Male Half-Elf Wizard/9

Johenric wonders when he sees the treasures and shakes his head a bit.

Although each magic item is a wonder on it is own, I am disappointed not to see any real magic treasures, like spells or staffs...but all good.

Male Half-Elf Wizard/9

Johenric starts to search...

Male Half-Elf Wizard/9

Before we decide we have to take the dimension of time into consideration. Might be that a stay limited to a pre-defined time window is acceptable to both aims? Victoria, how much time do you think we should stay here?

Male Half-Elf Wizard/9

Once the conversation starts Johenric ends his writing. Instead he follows carefully the conversation and the argumentation lines.

Well, I support Cairn's idea. If we have two equal aims, we should divide our group. That is a logical move.

Male Half-Elf Wizard/9

Johenric sitting on his stone still writes into his notebook...

Male Half-Elf Wizard/9

Johenric observes the scene as being an outsider not part of the things going on.

Interesting. Thanks to Pharasma. I have to make some notes for the chronicles...

Suddenly he takes out his notebook and start to write...

Male Half-Elf Wizard/9

It is sad, but we know what we know...

Johenric sits down on a big stone and holds his chin with his right hand.

Male Half-Elf Wizard/9

Johnric nods and walks around. He wonders about the interior and the natural distribution of dust.

Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16

Mh...strange. No draft in the cloister, and the dust is not distributed according to the natural distribution. In fact it looks like, that certain areas attract more does and others do not at all...

Male Half-Elf Wizard/9

Johenric's eyes are wide open.

Solaric, you are right. Taking this piece of information into consideration, we should continue to search for the holy fountain. How, even if we find the one, how do we know the holy water will help to save his place?

Male Half-Elf Wizard/9

Do not get me wrong, I just want to ensure that we have thought about questions we want to ask, once the reliable source has been contacted.

Male Half-Elf Wizard/9
Victoria wrote:
"I can't see the effects myself, but I can ask a reliable source"

Before we contact your reliable source, we should carefully think about our questions we are going to ask. What do we need to know?

Male Half-Elf Wizard/9

Johenric shakes his head

With the information we have on hand, it just guessing. I think we either have to get more knowledge about the fountain by doing empirical research respective experiments, or we need to get advice, either by consulting a holy man of Pharasma or by going into a library.

Male Half-Elf Wizard/9

Johenric casts detect magic on the fountain.

Male Half-Elf Wizard/9

Johenric nods and starts to analyse the fountain.

Knowledge Religion: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20

Male Half-Elf Wizard/9

Johenric is obviously fascinated by the course the events have taken.

Male Half-Elf Wizard/9

I am on a seminar the whole next week and I will not be able to post. Either DMZ or somebody else might take over Johenric in order to ensure the battle continues during my absence. Thanks!

Male Half-Elf Wizard/9

Flofer:
you are under haste effect as well. you have one additional attack with your highest BAB in a full attack round.

Male Half-Elf Wizard/9

Since Round 3 you all are under the effect of Haste! In a full round attack you may make one extra attack using your full BAB! In addition you all get +1 AC and +1 Relfex Bonus.

Male Half-Elf Wizard/9

Round 4

Johenric being invisible moves from G3 to G5. From now on the Karcaus chosen hear Johenric's whispering voice in their ears, foretelling them the future.

Bonus Granted to the karcaus chosen: +2 Luck bonus on ability checks, attack rolls, caster level checks, saving throws and skill checks.

Foretell (Su):
Foretell (Su): At 8th level, you can utter a prediction of the immediate future. While your foretelling is in effect, you emit a 30-foot aura of fortune that aids your allies or hinders your enemies, as chosen by you at the time of prediction. If you choose to aid, you and your allies gain a +2 luck bonus on ability checks, attack rolls, caster level checks, saving throws, and skill checks. If you choose to hinder, your enemies take a –2 penalty on those rolls instead. You can use this ability for a number of rounds per day equal to your wizard level. These rounds do not need to be consecutive.

Male Half-Elf Wizard/9

Johenric casts invisibility on himself and moves to G3.

Black tentacle Grapple Attempt: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (20) + 13 = 33
Black tentacle Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

The speed and the power of the Black Tentacles has reached it's peak. Does the demon resist?

Male Half-Elf Wizard/9

One roll is made for the entire round. Which is compared with the CMD which is also stable. Therefore it is enough to compare it once.

Male Half-Elf Wizard/9

Next time I will write down all affected fields from the beginning. That makes more sense.

Male Half-Elf Wizard/9

How many Zombies being grappled does Johenric see?

Male Half-Elf Wizard/9

On G13 are the black tentacles. H13 is free, however if he moves there, he has to pass black tentacles.

The spell Black Tentacles uses a
20 Ft. Radius template and occupies:

A11 / A12
B9 / B10 / B11 / B12 / B13 / B14
C9 / C10 / C11 / C12 / C13 / C14
D8 / D9 / D10 / D11 / D12 / D13 / D14 / D15
E8 / E9 / E10 / E11 / E12 / E13 / E14 / E15
F9 / F10 / F11 / F12 / F13 / F14
G9 / G10 / G11 /G12 / G13 / G14
H11 / H12

Male Half-Elf Wizard/9

Johenric has casted Haste on the Karcaus Chosen.

Karcaus Chosen:
When making a full attack action, a hasted creature may make one extra attack with one natural or manufactured weapon. The attack is made using the creature's full base attack bonus, plus any modifiers appropriate to the situation. (This effect is not cumulative with similar effects, such as that provided by a speed weapon, nor does it actually grant an extra action, so you can't use it to cast a second spell or otherwise take an extra action in the round.)

A hasted creature gains a +1 bonus on attack rolls and a +1 dodge bonus to AC and Reflex saves. Any condition that makes you lose your Dexterity bonus to Armor Class (if any) also makes you lose dodge bonuses.

Male Half-Elf Wizard/9

The center of the 20-ft. radius is in the center of D11 / D12 / E11 / E12. That means the southernmost quadrants are: H11 / H12, which is where the demon is located. D 8 and E 8 are the westernmost quadrants. In addition F9, F10, G9, G10 are occupied by black tentacle. @DMZ can you mark the black tentacles in the map?

Round 2

Black Tentacle CMB: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (18) + 13 = 31
Black Tentacle Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

DMZ:
Assuming the zombies did not act last round, they should be grappled by the tentacles, or?

Johenric casts[http://paizo.com/prd/spells/haste.html]Haste[/url] on the Karcaus chosen.

Male Half-Elf Wizard/9

kirk,at Point in Time you Start moving in G10 are tentacles, so i suggest you move below to F10
