'Countess' Victoria |

"How very FORTUNATE KIRK!!" Victoria cackles...
Solaric has FORTUNE
Kirk has FORTUNE
Abbott has MISFORTUNE
Fortune (Su): The witch can grant a creature within 30 feet a bit of good luck for 1 round. The target can call upon this good luck once per round, allowing him to reroll any ability check, attack roll, saving throw, or skill check, taking the better result. He must decide to use this ability before the first roll is made. At 8th level and 16th level, the duration of this hex is extended by 1 round. Once a creature has benefited from the fortune hex, it cannot benefit from it again for 24 hours.

Cairn Stern |

...finally I can get close to this abomination...

Cairn Stern |

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (16) + 12 = 28
Suspicion prevalent; Cairn didnt want to believe the demon and was eager to press the attack but he knew some of the other Chosen might take the Abbott up on his offer...if its genuine...

Flofer Nighthawk |

Discern Lies: DC17
Flofer uses his training as a Hellknight to assess the truth of the Abbot's statements.
And what would you do if we did let you go? I can think of plenty of acts of benevolence that don't involve you trompsing away on your little demon hooves...

'Countess' Victoria |

"What...the Hell..." Victoria seems shocked by the mistake unfolding before her "Kirk, Cairn, you gentlemen know what needs to be done" She maintains her cackle to keep the Demon broken.

GM Harpwizard |

"Good, good! I'll help you and you'll help me!
"There is no good to come in allowing you to live! You are corrupted and evil and the only good that will come is through your death!"
Solaric takes the last of his energy and put and end to the miserable demon's life!

Damage: 1d8 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15 (+3 Str, +2 Magic, +2 Smite Evil, +1 Inspire Courage)

DM Zyren/ Heart of Light |

A bit surprised by Solaric's outburst, the demon stumbles back, slips and with wildly flapping winds falls on his back...a miserable howl echoes through the cave as Solaric's sword sinks deep into the demon's chest and by that ends the monster's life...instantly the crawling zombies also collapse and lie still on the ground.

GM Harpwizard |

"That was the almighty Inheritor who was guiding me there. Clearly that creature needed to die! It did not belong here! Let us hope that its destruction will be enough to restore the purity of this fountain."
Solaric says a prayer of thanks before proceeding. "Blessed Iomedae, I give thanks to you for giving me the strength to destroy that demon. I ask that you now bringing healing to this holy place that its fountain may now flow freely with its healing waters!"

GM Harpwizard |

"Well, my friends, I hope I have made the right decision, but I did not see how such an evil creature could bring purity back to this fountain. At the very least, we have rid the world of a demon who does not belong in our realm."
"Johenric, my friend, I need your help more than ever at this point. We must find a way to get this fountain to flow and its beautiful pure waters to run again. What can we do to clean this desecrated site?"

GM Harpwizard |

"The Inheritor is truly with you Sir Solaric. Never have I seen such blade work."
"You are most kind, my friend. Indeed the Inheritor guides me, but I was also motivated by wanting to stay alive! I do not think we would have lasted long if we had given him more opportunities to attack."
"I'm sure it was the right move, that hesitation was futile."
"Your words encourage me, Spearborn! It felt like the right decision at the time, but now that we are left with trying to purify this fountain, I am wondering what choices we have."
Solaric takes some time to detect evil upon the fountain and try to pinpoint the source of any impurities."

'Countess' Victoria |

"Simply trying to throw good over the thing wont do anything more than trying to put gold leaf on a cesspit. We need the Evil to be taken away... if its the fabric of the fountain, then we need to find a way to have a weaver come and collect it all. If it was by the Demons rule then perhaps another Demon declaring that rule as null and void?"
"Once the Evil is removed, perhaps then can we think of blessings and consecration"
"Or we find a martyr of good heart to be sacrificed to the greater good...though I think there was some talk of the creating of life rather than death, perhaps Solaric needs to knock up his ladylove with a fresh bastard in the fountain."

GM Harpwizard |

"With a short amount of preparation time, I would be able to remove any curses on this fountain. Perhaps that will be enough to allow the holy waters to flow once again."
Solaric begins preparing Remove Curse to use in his empty third level spell slot and consecrate for his empty second level slot.

Cairn Stern |

Cairn's eyebrows shoot to the top of his forehead when the Lady Victoria suggested Solaric and the Countess consecrate the fountain with a reproductive display ...Uncle Hrusk will get a good laugh at this one... Cairn wasn't the brightest of the lot but he did have one idea.
The fountain is just a vessel. Perhaps the water source is the root of the evil?

GM Harpwizard |

"I don't think that will do it, the fountain IS the evil..."
"Maybe it is at the moment, but it should not always be that way. This water was suppose to be used to save the people of Karcau. We must try something! I cannot just sit back and allow the people to die! What else do you suggest, your Grace?"
"The fountain is just a vessel. Perhaps the water source is the root of the evil?"
"Perhaps it is now, but there was a time when the pure water from this fountain could bring great healing to all who drank from it. What we need to do is find a way to restore it to its original state."

'Countess' Victoria |

"Maybe it is at the moment, but it should not always be that way. This water was suppose to be used to save the people of Karcau. We must try something! I cannot just sit back and allow the people to die! What else do you suggest, your Grace?"
"The Demon already gave us the hint, something about restoring it to its former purpose as war and death had corrupted it"

Johenric |

Johenric shakes his head
With the information we have on hand, it just guessing. I think we either have to get more knowledge about the fountain by doing empirical research respective experiments, or we need to get advice, either by consulting a holy man of Pharasma or by going into a library.

'Countess' Victoria |

"I suppose I could ask a different source. What are your questions? I can obtain six answers in communion, a divination, or a brief augury into the short term future on an action."

GM Harpwizard |

"With the information we have on hand, it just guessing. I think we either have to get more knowledge about the fountain by doing empirical research respective experiments, or we need to get advice, either by consulting a holy man of Pharasma or by going into a library."
"We do not have time for long research, my friend. We need to restore this fountain and acquire some of its healing powers as quickly as we can. Time is of the essence!"
"I suppose I could ask a different source. What are your questions? I can obtain six answers in communion, a divination, or a brief augury into the short term future on an action."
"The action is what we need to find out. What can we possibly do to restore the health of this holy sight? Perhaps we could divine the effects of remove curse and consecrate spells upon the fountain. Can you see the effects of such magic? Other than that, I am feeling at a loss for what to do. I am inclined to pray, but I know action as well as faith is required for this task!"
