Background
The Electrophorus family is known for three things among the gillmen: a great passion for thwarting the alghollthu, being superb smooth talkers, and a propensity to manipulate the elements.
Elial’s grandmother, an oracle dedicated to the Empyreal Lord Ylimancha was part of the gillman delegation that brought the keystone from the Arch of Aroden to Almas, and he was born in the andoren city nineteen years ago. As Elial grew up it was apparent that he would not be part of the next generation of diplomats. He was never a sociable child, preferring to listen to his grandfather’s stories about the supposed glories of Azlant and the exploits of his forebears than playing with other youths.
He spent most of his teenage years out of Almas, exploring the mouth of the Andoshen River and the Inner Sea coast, and learning the healing arts from a commune of aquatic half-elven druids.
On his last visit home he heard of the Bountiful Venture Company’s expedition to the ruins of Azlant and, inspired by the childhood stories, he decided to apply. His knowledge of Azlant, the azlanti language, and his skills at healing and survival (and although she denies it, maybe a little of his grandmother’s influence) netted him a spot on the second weave of colonists.
Description
Elial is 5 feet and 10 inches tall, with a lean and defined physique. His skin is a sandy tan, and he has deep blue hair. His bright violet eyes (sign of azlanti heritage) tend to glow blue when he uses his power over water.
He is generally taciturn, as he is accustomed to exploring on his own, but he likes company (if they are not too boisterous) and he delights in learning new things.
