Made Ishrodin on Pathbuilder with the undead slayer free archetype:
https://pathbuilder2e.com/launch.html?build=463828

Was thinking he was found as an infant by the organziation, or perhaps an academic member of it, who was interested in the strange vampiric nature in the child (especially if vampires haven't been seen in 100 years, how does a Dhampir exist?). This person studied and raised Ishrodin, which left him a bit of a social outcast but very studious.

There might be rumors that this person may have created Ishrodin as some kind of science experiment, but whether that's true or not, I leave up to the Game Master.

Note: I might still switch this back to a Dwarf Dhampir, rather than an Elf Dhampir, not sure yet, but rest will be the same.

Ishrodin Mahomet: Elf Dhampir Gunslinger (Way of the drifter), with the Undead Slayer archetype.

Definitely sounds interesting. Should we assume that we're all the same age, like young early 20s adventurers? And if so, are we just gonna handwave the whole 'dwarves and elves take longer to be considered adults than humans' thing?

How come full orcs aren't allowed? Are they mostly monsters in this campaign?

I look forward to seeing the full recruitment, this seems really cool! I'm leaning Dwarven Dhampir, thinking maybe investigator, or perhaps a magus class.

This sounds really cool. Got a couple questions:

1. Is this going to be inspired by a specific part of Europe in the 1700s, or another part of the world, or is this going to be kind of a globe trotting game, where we see a variety of different cultures in our quest to hunt down vampires?

2. Is there a restriction on ancestries? Like do elves and dwarves exist, or is it all humans? What about versatile ones, like Dhampir or Aasimar?

Also the google drive link for Surondal requires permission to look at, could you set it to public viewing?

So, I have gotten close to making the Hell Ranger from Marvel. I have a Skeleton Gunslinger with Spellshot and will eventually have him riding a skeleton horse. Is there a way that he can get a "Penance Stare" or for him and his horse to get flame auras?

Maybe look to get the Ifrit versatile heritage, they've got some ancestry feats that let you burn with an aura or appear to be on fire. Tiefling might also be an option.

Penance Stare could be an intimidation check and the feats that help with that.

This guy has made a Ghost Rider build you could take inspiration from: https://bjacobt1.wixsite.com/monstermonday/post/full-build-friday-ghost-rid er

Maybe the priest was kidnapped by my family, and I decided to help him escape. Maybe I bring you along, or ask you to help with me escaping my family, and in exchange I'll take you along to civilization with us.

Just some wild thoughts.

Sounds great. Now we just need a PC cleric to rope in!

My character is a cleric, why did you want 2 clerics?

Hmmm... your backstory works really well, I wouldn't want to change it that much.

So I have a different idea in mind. Your group and mine had overlapping territories and had run into each other a few times. The conflict was escalating each time and both groups wanted to eliminate the competition. They just each needed some advantage, like ambushing the other's camp.

While scouting we come across each other. We come to a small clearing and train your bow and my gun on each other. For the moment we're alone, though others would come running if there were a fight.

By this point, we're both reconsidering our lifestyle. We don't want to start a fight. We sit there, watching each other guardedly. Neither of us attacking, neither of us calling for backup.

Rashaz probably figures it out first, but waits a moment until Knaxshi figures it out. We both set our weapons aside. We talk for a bit, but still don't quite trust each other.

I'm not sure where on your storyline you want to put this. I'm thinking before your banishment but after the curse. You then meet the priest and decide to go. On your way you visit the clearing. I've been visiting the clearing every once in a while myself. When you say that you are leaving your family and have a new calling, I ask if I can come with you. But that timing is up to you.

** spoiler omitted **

I was thinking, if the DM approved, that I swap my background from Bandit to Cursed, but keep the backstory stuff. I didn't know Cursed existed but it seems to work well.

Hey there, I just applied to the form and I'm crossing my fingers! I'm very new to PF2e, but keen on getting into an AP!

Character sheet for Rashazthe Beastkin Lizardfolk Cleric

Backstory:
Rashaz was born from a family of Essari lizardfolk who lived in swamps near Brevoy. His mother Sriex wanted more than a simple life, claimed to be driven by the starts to become master of a grand domain. She took some followers, her clutch (including Rashaz) and left to the area known as the Stolen Lands. There they became hunters of men harassing those who crossed their path, be they merchant or bandit, unless paid a toll. The clan soon became known as the Star Scaled Bandits, for those who fought had stars tattooed on their bodies.

When Rashaz was barely an adult, he grew tired from a long night of patrol and chose to nap in a warm sunlit patch. He awoke to the admonishment of some small fey creature, who questioned if he was some nocturnal lizard, being a layabout in the day. He was then cursed by the fey to become half-bat.

He hurried to his mother to seek guidance but was quickly turned away. Sriex knew that the Fey in these forests were not to be trifled with, and would not anger them further by giving hospitality to one so cursed. She called him foolish and banished him from her sight, lest the next time would be at the edge of a spear.

Rashaz wandered the woods, desperate for hope or an answer of any kind. Then he met a priest* of Erastil who offered succor, food by the camp and most importantly companionship to the lonely lizardfolk. The priest shared spiritual guidance from Erastil and even supposed that the god may grant Rashaz support. In a dream, Rashaz felt he was visited by a messenger of the God Erastil, to help bring civilization to the Stolen Lands.

Taking that as a sign, he told the priest the vision, and was advised to go to Rostov where there was such an expedition being planned, and where one with his skill set could be useful indeed.

*If you have a priest in mind, I'm happy to go with that, I left it open.

Appearance:

Personality:
Barely 18, Rashaz is young and confused about his place in the world. Feeling wrenched from the swamps of his ancestors by his mother, and then abandoned by his mother when cursed, he desperately searches for a place where he can belong. Even though his knowledge of Erastil is limited, he grabs onto the faith with both hands, looking for any form of purpose or place to belong.

He despises his maligned (in his mind) bat like form, and has found difficulty controlling it for refusing to engage with his new body, so is usually stuck in hybrid form. Even his non-hybrid form is not as agile or strong as it once was, much to his disappointment.

New companions that accept him will make him desperately try to be useful, for his fear of abandonment is always waiting in the wings, even if he has difficulty expressing these feelings. He is very happy to be told what to do, offering insight only when asked.

I'm interested in this. Thinking of going with a Green Faith Marshal [Inquisitor Archetype] with the Eagle Domain. Will try to get something up by end of today.

Well it's a shame I didn't make it, but well done to those of you who did! Have a great game!

Here's my backstory finalized:

Elvar Lovik: Duskwalker Paladin [Divine Hunter]

His trait is the Reclaimer.

Backstory:
Found 11 years ago near the ruins of Rosslar's Coffin, he was adopted by a family of farmers from the outskirts of town. They had lost children to the events of the previous year, and so took the seemingly 8 year old boy into their family. He never quite fit into the community, with his strange gray skin, and at nights he would have horrific nightmares where he roared like an animal. But his adopted family (The Loviks) accepted and loved him.

3 years later, a passing Duskwalker recognised him for what he was. The Duskwalker offered to take the boy as his ward, to help him understand his role in the world. Elvar urged his family to accept, and they reluctantly agreed. With many tears, Elvar left that day.

Elvar traveled with his mentor for many years to hundreds of different communities around the world, where he worked to live the Duskwalker purpose-slaying undead. He even spent a couple of years in Nidal, working with insurgents to undermine the ruling class who used undead for their nefarious purposes.

However, while Elvar grew skilled with the bow, he never truly felt like he belonged in this world. He missed his home, and wanted a true sense of belonging and acceptance. He still had the nightmares, and his mentor told him those were possibly the lingering memories of his last life, before he was reborn as a Duskwalker.

One night, in the midst of a night terror, he became face to face Erastil, the Hunter God, who has asked him to 'be my Paladin once again and save your community from the terrors that are coming'. It seems that his previous soul had once served Erastil, likely dying at Russlar's Coffin and now he had been chosen to do so again.

Elvar awoke, blessed with new divine abilities, and knew it was time to make his own way. He thanked his mentor for all he had done, but it was time for him to fulfill the path his last life started down.

It was time for Elvar to finally reclaim his life.

questions:

1. You defeated the enemy and they surrendered, what do you do?

"Oh gee, um wow, I didn't expect them to give up. Uh guys, should we like, do something-wait you're asking me? Ok, ok, I got this, take a deep breath. Alright, let's uh, take away their weapons. Ooh and magic stuff, so they can't uh magic us. Let's tie them up and take them to the town. Maybe once they serve their punishment for their crimes, they can be constructive members of the community!"

2. You are outnumbered or outgunned, damage along probably won't win the battle, unless you are rolling high and they are rolling low, what do you do?

"Oh wow, that did not work out at all. Turns out they took us to a trap. Guys, I'll hold them off with my arrows, keep them at bay. Rest of you get out of here-don't worry I'll be following right behind you covering the escape! This is not the end of us, just a setback!"

3. You can't go onto the next room until you solve the puzzle and one of you can figure it out, how do you proceed?

"Ok, is there anyway I can help [Name of one who can solve it]? I'm happy to do anything. Otherwise, just point me to a spot where I won't get in your way." Once in a quiet spot, he starts checking his arrows and supplies, and if he still has time, sends up a prayer up to Erastil. If the location is right, he'll do his Deific Obedience as long as it won't get in the way of the others.

4. Player vs Player conflict, how do you proceed on playing the game? The conflict can happen before the game starts, ie. two people don't like each other, during the game, ie. they don't like your decisions or you don't like his, or even in-between books.

OOC: I honestly don't always notice it when it happens to other people, but when it's someone I have a disagreement with or has a problem with me, I try to speak to them privately, sharing my concerns in an honest manner, and hope to find a compromise. If it doesn't resolve, I PM the Game Master and let them know what's occured and ask their advice.

IC: "Look, just because we disagree on certain matters doesn't mean we need to fight. We need to work together to be part of the community. Let's try and work on some kind of compromise.

5. An important NPC has been taking hostage and you are surrounded, like 10 guys ready to attack you all. One or more bad guys has a weapon pointed at the NPC if you retaliate, how do you proceed?

"Alright everyone let's stay calm." He says his bow pulled and ready to fire at the guy with a hostage. "If you release that hostage I promise all of you will be able to walk out of here alive, on my honor. Currently that person is the only thing keeping you alive. But do not think I cannot kill you where you stand if you hurt a hair on their head, and my friends will make your friends choke on their steel and lightning. We have killed a lot worse than you for a lot less.

"So, let's put that weapon away, and talk like civilised people."

6. You are told there is a certain object in the room, but none of you see it, what do you do? Assume the object is the size of a baseball, so it ain't like you are looking for a needle in the haystack.

Elvar will look up at the ceilings and walls while his team mates are scampering on the floor. When they ask why he's doing that he says,

"If I wanted to ambush someone from above, I'd also tell them to look at the ground for some invisible object."

I'm finishing up the sheet on mythweavers but I wanted to check something. Are we doing feat taxes like you said earlier? I want to know if I need to get point blank shot or anything like that or not.

That all sounds pretty good. I was wondering if it was worth dipping into Feral Hunter for 1 level to get Gravity Bow as a spell, along with the animal focus Tiger that gives me straight +2 dex without a time limit. Get it at level 2 for either Paladin or maybe the Warpriest now.

I'm not sold on the boon companion because I find animal companions for the most part confusing to keep track of, along with resources the inquisitor might have.

The Sentinel I found pretty generous with feats and bonuses. I just don't know what level Tyrants AP goes upto so I don't know how far to plan.

I'm planning on joining a Tyrant's Grasp AP as a player, and I decided I'd like to play a Duskwalker Divine Hunter (aka a Paladin Archer) who serves Erastil. I've got most of the fluff figured out, and I know I want him to gain the Prestige Class Sentinel from Inner Sea Gods. I think I'm gonna have like 5 or maybe 6 levels of Divine Hunter, but what I don't know is if I should multiclass as well-and if so, what class? What advice would you have for building this character? I'm looking to make a long bow wielding undead slaying machine, if that makes sense.

My current ability scores are (including Racial Modifiers): Str 14 Dex 18 Con 12 Int 10 Wis 9 Cha 16

My GM had a rule that everyone starts with 30 points for ability scores, but if you chose a non-core, non-featured race, you lost 4 points. That's why I have 26 points for point buy.

I plan on holding my ground on the Duskwalker and archery thing, but otherwise I'm open to any suggestions.

This AP looks pretty cool and I'd like to take part. I was wondering about playing a Duskwalker as they were mentioned in the Tyrants Grasp Player's Guide but I wanted to know if they counted as a 'featured paizo race' by your stat restriction as they appear in Planar Adventures (and possibly other sources, unclear)?

Ok strange thing I can't edit my last post. I changed my character slightly. Her old name is Shayde (as in Shayde on the rooftops), and her current name is Reesa.

Also she's a Tabaxi: https://i.redd.it/p54xt5airzq01.png

However the character sheet link will still link to the current upto date character sheet. Do you want me to write it out like the others have?

Alright so I've got my character idea. An Undying Warlock human (non-variant) named Reesa Shay.

Stats: https://ddb.ac/characters/11527064/lhVEvu

Reesa Shay backstory:

Background: There are manystreet rats who grow up on the streets of Waterdeep, orphaned but with big dreams of finding that big score, of being rich enough to never struggle again. As they grow older, they forget their dreams, beaten down by the cruelty that was reality.

Not Reesa. She held onto that dream, of finding the biggest score, Dagult's Vault and made it her life's work. She's worked for thieves guilds and gone temple diving, honing her craft until one day she hit what she thought was the big score. A hidden lost temple vault, close to Waterdeep.

She took some heavy loans from some very bad people, but she knew finding the vault would make everything alright. She went there with a top crew. But the vault was no Dagult's dragons, but instead held a few glowing crystals and a single ring on a pedestal.

She walked to the ring and picked it up, when she suddenly heard a voice call from it.

"They're about to kill you."

Before she could consider what that meant, suddenly she was stabbed in the back. Then again. And then again.

As she fell to the ground, her body growing cold, she whispered, "I don't want to die."

the voice in the ring whispered back,

"Swear yourself to me, and I will give you power beyond death."

"I swear. I just don't want to die."

There was a flash of purple light, and then nothing.

When Reesa awoke, she was surrounded by the smoking skeletons of her traitorous crew. She immediately fled the temple, taking the ring with her, and stuffing a minor crystal in her pocket.

She knew she couldn't go back to the loansharks-she hadn't found the temple, and it looked like she had killed her entire crew, so they're definitely going to be after her. Worst of all, the ring had changed her into something else. More to the point the spirit would make demands, and she found it difficult to not obey the voice which had given her new life.

Regardless of the cost, Ressa knows the only way she can make things right, the only way to make things worth it, is to find the vault. And she's going to need a new crew. Time to call in some old friends.

Picture: https://i.pinimg.com/originals/b5/2f/5e/b52f5ef08fded7f696f7cf0d0cb07026.jp g

Let me know what you guys think. I've gone with kind of a roguey Warlock with some interesting powers. Not sure how effective the anti-undead thing is gonna be, but it could be fun.

The uncommon item I picked was the Ring of Mindshielding (https://roll20.net/compendium/dnd5e/Ring%20of%20Mind%20Shielding#content). I decided the ring already has a spirit in it, her Undying Patron. I'm thinking some kind of wizard or something like that, but I'm ok with whatever idea the GM might have for who or what could be in that ring.

Let me know what you think!

Very interested in applying for this game. However, I haven't rolled dice on this forum before so let me know if I've made a mistake:

Stat Roll: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 2, 2) = 7
Stat Roll: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 1, 6) = 16
Stat Roll: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 3, 3) = 18
Stat Roll: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 1, 3) = 16
Stat Roll: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 4, 3) = 13
Stat Roll: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 5, 3) = 18

EDIT: Alright that didn't work. Let's see if it will roll now.

EDIT 2: Ok so I got a 6 (rounded up to 8), 15, 15, 15, 11 and a 15.

Alright barring that glaring weakness, mostly fairly decent numbers. Let me give some thought on what that 8 should be. I'm thinking probably strength.

I'm not sure how Skitter Shot works, but I'm definitely interested!

Sorry if this is a newb question, but I was confused about something involving chronicle sheets, and wanted some advise.

I recently got an item on my chronicle sheet from my game, that looked quite cool. Let's call this item, The Guitar of Axis, which gives a +2 to all Awesome rolls. The guitar wasn't suited to my current character, a young female wizard, Carrey Pippins, whose arcane bond was to an umbrella, and whose day job was being a nanny to spoiled rich kids.

I came up with another character idea, who would actually use said guitar, a metal head dinosaur riding halfling ["Rock on!"], who shall be my character 2.

What I want to know is, when said character 2 [Metal head] gains enough money to afford the Guitar of Axis, can he buy it. given it wasn't his character who was awarded the chronicle sheet? He didn't go on that adventure, could he still purchase it off Carey's chronicle sheet?

Thanks in advance for your help.

P.S. If your wondering why I'm not using the real name of the item, it's because I'm worried rewards on a chronicle sheet might count as a spoiler, and I don't want to be banned from posting in my first week in the society.

Perfect strike is limited to the specific weapons listed in the feat, or a bow if you are a Zen Archer. It's perfectly reasonable to allow it to work with other monk weapons as a house rule, but for PFS you are stuck with the limited list.

Dang. That's unfortunate, but I'll just go with my monk without that archetype then. I might go with a whole new concept-Spirit master looks fun, and is legal.

Thanks for your help guys.

Hi guys. I'm reworking my monk whose level 1, after using a pre-gen in my first society game. Looking over the archtypes for monks, I saw the weapon adept.

"Perfect," I thought. "I want my monk to be a master of his temple sword, flurry blowing left and right." Then it said you get perfect strike, and I saw it read,

When wielding a monk weapon, your attacks can be extremely precise.

Yay so far. Then I read the mechanics.

The rules wrote:
You must use one of the following weapons to make the attack: kama, nunchaku, quarterstaff, sai, and siangham.

Now this made me sad, cause even though the temple sword is a monk weapon, it's not listed there as usable with the feat. Was perfect strike written before there was a trait called Monk weapon? Or is my dream of having a weapon adept, temple sword swinging monk, just another fantasy?

Thank you Rei! That works perfectly, cause my character would be from the same place.

Is there a specific place in the books or SRD which state that? Not that I don't believe you, just in case I need to bring proof to a GM for a Pathfinder Society game.

Hi there! I'm new to Pathfinder and the society, played my first society game on Saturday, and I was hooked!

At the time, I was using the pregenerated monk character, and I was told I could edit the character sheet until he was level 2, so I made some changes. However, there's something that bothers me which I want clarification on.

The pregenerated monk could speak two languages, Common and Vudrani. However, his int is only 10, no modifier so he shouldn't get an extra language [he doesn't have linguistics either]. I want my adjusted monk to also speak common and Vudrani, but his INT is only 8.

What i want to know, is there a way to have my Monk speak both common and Vudrani? This is more a background flavor thing [his background is mostly the same], I don't see it having a great mechanical bonus or anything.

Thank you in advance for your help and advise.
