Alright, so it's been nearly 4 years at this point since I've managed to have some steady tabletop action and I'm beginning to get desperate. I live in the Olathe area (just to the Southwest of KC, Kansas). I don't really have any preference as to the system or games played as I am a fan of a wide variety of different game systems. Unfortunately, my biggest hang-up is that the only time I would be reliably free for gaming would be Friday evenings.
I'll save any additional information for if I get any hits here.

Depending on how close you are, you could try to scope out a few places. I don't live there any more, so I am trying to remeber the locations. I know of two places in Overland Park
I want to say 119th and Shawnee called 31 Century games, which was a nice large place and the owner is freaking amazing as far as suggestions, ordering things specifically for you, and friendly and helpful.
Olathe, KS 66062 - (913) 397-7706
Another one is on the other side of <71 highway ?>, and the name escapes me. A - Z Comics, I think. Again, cool place. A lot of established groups and people willing to teach/start games.
If you can make it down by Independence/Lee's Summit/Harrisonville area, there is another fantastic place, which has joined the Paizo Gaming groups thing, called Pulp Fiction. Again, great place, both focused on Comics and Gaming, plenty of room, and plenty of games. Owner is friendly, and also able to special order and chat. It is right off of 71 highway.
All if these can easily open doors to you either getting into a game or finding a group. I highly suggest 31st and Pulp Fiction. If you let Pulp Fiction know I sent you, they might do a discount, too.
Good luck

For some reason, I am thinking A-Z is not the store I am thinking of. I tried to do a search, and nothing came up though. Also granted I have not been there is going on 3 years, so things may have changed. I could have sworn it was ______ Corner, or Battle _______. I now it is on the same street as a Half Priced Books, and on either 115th or 119th and _______ (Possibly Metcalf), inside a little shopping center you have to go all the way around to find). I know it is very close to Vintage Stock, almost across the street, but a few blocks closer to the main highway (71 ?).
