I think there has to be more than one day between the Beast breaking into the University of Lepidstadt and the PCs arriving. After all, rumours spread down south that the Beast has been captured, the Crooked Kin decide to head to Lepidstadt, the trial is arranged, witnesses are located etc, and the PCs have to make their way from Ravengro to Lepidstadt (100 miles). It could even be several weeks after the event.

Yes, it seems very unlikely that the Count would survive that long in the misery idol (the Mourning Maiden is the device in Harrowstone). Even a few days (length of the trial) in that device with no food or water would kill him. In my version of events, Auren Vrood left some Whispering Way cultists behind to torture Caromarc and harry the PCs... I think this makes more sense and gives the PCs a Whispering Way fight to remind them who the real villains are.

Maybe. But no way could the Count survive in that thing too long. It seems pretty clear to me that the beast was immediately apprehended after he was forced to break into the University and the trial began pretty quickly thereafter. I would not keep the Count trapped for more than 4 or 5 days. After that it becomes pretty goofy for the PCs to find him alive. If you figure the trial has to last 3 days it doesn't give much breathing room.

Either way, the important part is Vrood leaves as soon as he gets the effigy.

As a sidenote to the Caromarc situation, his Homonuculus is supposed to be keeping him alive with bugs and handfuls of rainwater

Yup. That, to me, is what gets him to about 5 days. Without the Homonuculus I don't think he would make it that long without water and trapped inside the idol.

I'm sure being inside the idol is very uncomfortable (no sleep), hot, and maddening. When you combine all this with a total lack of water I doubt he would make it 3 days without the Homonuculus. It's one thing to be able to sleep and move around and whatnot yet still survive for 3 or 4 days without water but in his situation he'd be a goner pretty quickly.

I would love a timeline like this for pretty much the whole thing... I think it'd be neat to have a good timeline that says when all the stuffs supposed to happen and roughly when the adventures start and such :P Awesome work
