Liberty's Edge

Hi everybody!
I observed, that in a couple of threads, there are ideas, thoughts and pleas to Dunegon Staff. But they are all in different threads...
So I got the idea, that it would be cool to have a thread, were we can post such things in one place and it would be easier for the Dungeon staff to look things up by just having a look into this thread!
If you find this a good idea, be welcome to post here, if not this thread will someday be at the bottom of all threads, forgotten and no further nuisance (No offense taken ;) !!!

Liberty's Edge

I posted this at the Adventure Path-Board in "Adventure Path 2 coming soon...", but I thought it would work here as well...

What I would like to see in AP2 is, that you may insert maps for the big battles.
I presently have the problem, to make the map for the Umber Hulk Smash. This takes a lot of time preparing which I could use in a better way.
A big map would have done the job here perfectly. You had a lot of maps in past issues (like the map of the bridge which the bees - don't know the issue or the adventure name). My players would love to use their minis on those cool maps! Even tokens for the main enemys for the battle would be great, to allready have the opponents!
What do you think about that???
I hope this is not that much MORE work for you and it is the only thing I wish fpr AP2, because I know you will do again a great job on the next one!!!

Liberty's Edge

Would it be possible, to get the whole Downer Comic in a downloadable pdf? That would be great!

Althoguh we don't always respond to every thread, rest assured that at least one editor is looking over pretty much anything that gets posted to these boards. Sometimes it takes us a while to respond, and often by the time we get around to it, other people have already posted good answers to the questions. So there's no real need for "One Thread to Rule Them All."

That all said, here's some answers for your posts:

1) Inserted Maps: I assume by "inserting maps" you mean miniatures-scale maps. I agree that the minis-scale maps are great; and it's nice to have them, but cost of production means that we'll only be puting fold-out maps into a few issues a year. Some of these will doubtless be minis-scale, but I predict that most will be more along the lines of the Isle of Dread map we included in #114, or the big Greyhawk world maps we're putting into the magazine in the near future. Those miniature scale maps take up a lot of room; we probably won't be doing anything like we did with "Buzz on the Bridge" again since those 4 pages of the magazine can be put to more efficient use.

2) Downloadable Downer: This is an interesting idea; we'll think about it, but at this point I can make no promises or predictions.

I am more than pleased to know that you try to read as much posts as you can! That's far better than just jumping to the forum and reading such a thread I had the idea of! Far far better!!! And thanx for giving us the feeling of REALLY being heard!

Yes, I meant minis-scale maps! We don't need them for every encounter, but it would help for those big fights (as I said like the Umber Hulk Smash). But I understand that production cost are pretty high! Thanx anyway for listening and keep up the good work!!!
