Hallimir, that guy who tries to impress his Scottish friend with his Scottish accent even though Hallimir has never actually been to Scotland. "Aye laddy, I was just ut and aboot!" "Yeah, that's great." Technically you don't have to roll again unless I ask, he's already been made friendly (for him) despite Hallimir best efforts.

"How should I know? Why did he pick it? As for the the full moon well you see it is just one of many lunar phases. A lunar phase is the shape of the illuminated (sunlit) portion of the Moon as seen by an observer on Golarion. The lunar phases change cyclically as the Moon orbits Golarion, according to the changing positions of the Moon and Sun relative to the Golarion." He draws a diagram on the floor of the cave with his finger and strikes a professorial tone. "The Moon's rotation is tidally locked by Golarion's gravity, therefore the same lunar surface always faces the planet. This face is variously sunlit depending on the position of the Moon in its orbit. Therefore, the portion of this hemisphere that is visible to an observer on Golarion can vary from about 100% (a 'full moon') to 0% (a 'new moon'). The lunar terminator is the boundary between the illuminated and darkened hemispheres. Each of the four "intermediate" lunar phases (new, first quarter, full, and last quarter) is roughly seven and a half days, but this varies slightly due to the elliptical shape of the Moon's orbit. Many of the world's mystical traditions ascribe magical significance to the various individual phases. The full moon in particular is thought to influence the activities of were-creatures, lunatics, calendar-makers, certain animals, and so-called normal people both above and below the waves. There's a saying in the sea: 'It must be a full moon up there'. We say it when things are all mucked up."

Down the maw!

After a thirty minutes and number of dead ends, rubble-choked passages, and cul-de-sacs the narrow, bluish-fungi-lit main tunnel broadens to reveal a shallow river that bisects an immense tunnel stretching to the north and south. To the east a small passage exits the chamber at a steep upward incline.

Furtive shapes slink about the far side of the cavern. Two small furtive, scaled humanoids of dog-like mean carrying spears--kobolds! Whatever could they be up to down here?

Instantly they begin making faces at the party each rotating through a select few jeers: waving at them with their thumbs in their ears, while shouting, wagging their tails at the party, pulling down one lower eyelid with a finger and sticking out their tongues. "Nya, Nya!"

Draconic:
"Nya, Nya!"

Each character may make one knowledge check. Open all the spoilers that apply.

-----

knowledge (local) Kobolds DC 5+:
Kobolds are small humanoid creatures of the dark, found most commonly in enormous underground warrens or the dark corners of the forest where the sun is unable to reach. Due to their physical similarities, kobolds loudly proclaim themselves the scions of dragonkind, destined to rule the earth beneath the wings of their great god-cousins, but most dragons have little use for the obnoxious pests.

knowledge (local) Kobolds DC 10+:
While they may speak loudly of divine right and manifest destiny, kobolds are keenly aware of their own weakness. Cowards and schemers, they never fight fair if they can help it, instead setting up ambushes and double-crosses, holing up in their warrens behind countless crude but ingenious traps, or rolling over the enemy in vast, yipping hordes.

knowledge (local) Kobolds DC 15+:
Kobold coloration varies even among siblings from the same egg clutch, ranging through the colors of the chromatic dragons, with red being the most common but white, green, blue, and black kobolds not unheard of.

Hallimar and Tawner:
You notice a bit of tripwire poking out of the sand along the bulge in the bank that pokes out into the stream from your side.

What would you like to do?

The cavern stream is slow moving, a foot deep, and treated as a shallow bog for movement purposes (1 square = 2 squares of movement).

Are we going for 'shaken', or 'attitude adjustment' (which usually takes a minute of time and you would sort of need to know the language or otherwise have a way to get your point across). Which Kobold is the target?

Why not 'scare them both away?'

He doesn't believe in 'game balance'. Gandalf always lets him pass. As a feat, he has Exotic Weapon Proficiency (beard). The city guard often question him, just because they find him so interesting. His dice bag is woven from tarrasque leather. His TPKs end game lines. His blood cures moderate wounds. He once punched a flumph. Yes, you heard me. He belongs to a prestige class whose sole requirement for entry is just being him. ♬ He is indeed, the most interesting GM in the world. ♬

Technically, there is no rules application that allows for that (perhaps unchained rogues). Without certain Feats you can only target one foe, and your options are include coercing or temporarily altering a target's attitude toward you (scare them into being receptive to your 'suggestions'), or simply shaking them, inflicting the shaken condition upon on target.

That said, given your relative size, numbers, and lack of sensible verbal/diplomatic skills (in Draconic anyhow) these two don't really want to stand and fight the party. They are Kobolds after all.

The Kobolds run off up the steep incline.

End Combat

Edit However it seems that El has triggered one of their readied attack actions by closing with them

Dk Blue spear v El Garrapata: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5 damage: 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0

Dk Blue spear v El Garrapata: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7 damage: 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (6) - 1 = 5

This in turn triggers Lydia and Hallimir's attacks (a miss and a hit respectively) dropping the Kobold with the blue-green camouflage pattern to his leaves.

The cavern stream is slow moving, a foot deep, and treated as a shallow bog for movement purposes (1 square = 2 squares of movement).

Tawner sidles up to Hallimir as the group pulls out slings and bows. He looks over the cavern and thinks of his own prowess with his sling, and decides to keep his scimitar handed for now.

Hallimir drops a Kobold "Wuh! I think you've killed him."

He continues to stand next to Hallimir, unsure of what to do next.

"YIPE YIPE YIPE YIPE!!"

The (dark blue camo) Kobold withdraws up the small passageway.
