Can I charge and attack +2 to my to hit, makimg it a 19, and subtract 2 from my AC
Meria Meridoath |
Round 2
Meria continues to closer, stopping for a moment to summon an ally to aid against the elemental creature. A flash of fire and suddenly a visious looking hound emerges from it, the smell of brimstone thick int he air as the horned animal appears opposite the dwarf, assaulting the fire elemental in a flash of teeth. "Quickly, use this chance to escape the living fire!"
Move 30' forward, standard to summon a fiendish riding dog.
Dog's Bite: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14 Add 2 if dwarf will count for flanking
Dog's Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Trip Attempt (if bite successful): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Ander Tarvenio |
Round 2
Moving a bit closer but still staying behind the others Ander reloads his crossbow again and releases a new bolt towards the fire elemental sighing a bit from relieve, knowing that his arrow will be able to do some damage. Still, reminding himself to memorize or at least learn a new spells against fire... when he is able to find out some scrolls or to buy
Crossbow Attack 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18 Damage 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
Nimon |
The dog does get flanking, however the ac is 17, I think I gave that too you previous for your roll on K planes.
You can only move up to double your move for charge, still leaving you 10' short unless you want to throw your Kama.
Ander's attack does hit, leaving the firey elemental wounded.
Kimiko |
I have a move rate of 35' due to my legacy, meaning i CAN charge 70' and still get a single attack in - and remember I only actually need to charge 65' because my weapon has reach.
Kimiko |
I did roll on the previous page:
Kimiko moves up as close as 10 feet range to the elemental.
I'm not sure of distance here and if she can get close enough to attack or not, but I'll include a roll to hit and damage just in case. IF she's not close enough to move and attack, she'll just double move.
to hit: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Nimon |
Ok I thought that was without charge. Very well you hit and are in melee with the elemental
Back to top
Brakkart since you are protecting the dwarf, I shall attack you, hopefully better than the last two attempts
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25 Wow ok that should hit. 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 Slam damage 1d6 ⇒ 3 burn damage if you fail the reflex save DC 14
Kimiko |
on her init, Kimiko's action is:
Staying 10 feet away from the elemental, both for her own safety and the optimal use of her kama, she maneuvers herself into a flank position, taking a wicked swing with the chained kama blade.
to hit: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Meria Meridoath |
Round 3
Meria moves for a shot at the creature with her whip while the hellish hound attempts to battle the flames in it's own manner.
Move to an open shot, standard to whip. Dog bites.
Dog's Bite: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 3 + 2 = 18
Dog's Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Trip Attempt (if bite successful): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Meria's Whip: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
Meria's Damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Hmm, 15 damage to the creature. Nice!
Kimiko |
Kimiko looks to the burning farmhouse and back at the dwarf. "Have you a well? buckets? perhaps we can save some of your structure if we rush to it. Is there anyone inside still?"
Kimiko |
Kimiko runs toward the well, hoping there are buckets to help put out the fire. "I know there are other pressing matters, but we cannot leave this poor dwarf to extinguish the fire alone... perhaps working together we can put it out." She doesn't wait for an answer before rushing to the other side of the house.
Kimiko |
Kimiko looks at the blazing inferno that is the house and the barn and shakes her head even as she tries to fill a bucket. "With only one bucket and the house completely engulfed, I doubt we'll make much headway against the flames... and the barn is probably full of fuel for the fire - hay and such... perhaps the best we can do is try to rescue any livestock he's got in the barn. He can always rebuild, if he's got his stock to rebuild for."
True to her word, she runs for the barn and throws open the doors, checking for stock inside and to release them if they are trapped.
Too bad I didn't take a level of cleric for those unlimited create waters as a 0 lvl orison.. oh well
Nimon |
You are able to save a good amount of live stock and supplies from the barn, alas his house is no more. I thank ye for your help. I think I will go back to absolam and sell what I can then make the trek back to my fellow countrymen in the mountains of Brevoy. Moving here was my wife's idea, but she has been gone for a while now and I had only been carrying on in her memory. Wish I dat she were still here, she woulda given that beasty one for! She was the warrior. That reminds me. He goes into the charred ruins that was his house and pulls out a very shiny Dwarven Waraxe. This was hers, and I think she would like you lot to have this. It is magical and made of cold iron, sure to give the beasties a run for thier money unfortunatly the rest of his wife's materials were destroyed in the fire After he gives you the weapon he begins to gather his things for his journy.
Kimiko |
"I'm sorry we weren't able to save more for you. Thank you for the generous gift. Good luck to you in your travels, good dwarf."
Kimiko |
Kimiko nods to Meria and wearily smooths her hair back. "Yes, let's get back and report." Like Meria, she is layered in soot and sweat, and as she wipes it away, manages to make it more of a mess. She goes to the well, raises the bucket and washes away what she can before starting the trek back to see Master Gyasi.
Kimiko |
"Wait.. before we leave here... there are some tracks... not ours, not the dwarf's and not the elementals... they lead this way. Perhaps we should check this out before we leave."
Can I tell what size or type of creature might have left the tracks?
Kimiko |
"Some kind of quadruped, but I'm sorry, I just don't know enough about such things to tell you more about what it was. It might have just been one of the dwarf's stock getting away from the fire. Or it might have been something else. Do you think we should follow it for a ways, see what it is and where it went?"
Meria Meridoath |
Meria comes up and attempts to examine the tracks as well. "Hmm, perhaps Meriadamocretes can follow them. It will take me a moment to summon her, if you don't mind waiting." If no one is opposed, Meria will begin the process of summoning forth her her eidolon.
Kimiko |
Kimiko shakes her head to show she doesn't mind waiting, and says "I don't mind waiting." Interested, she watches the process of the summoning while waiting.
Ander Tarvenio |
Looking around and poking his hand here and there Ander is in his own thoughts. Listening the discussion and dwarf reasoning was kind of less important but he never were fine with other people. Time to time he felt what others had or their feeling behind their words but then... that was it all.
Merias Eidolon suddenly picking up a trail of tracks and following it surprised Ander as he had been zoning out most of time. Picking his stuff back up and sorting them in order before running after Kimiko

I have to say this is an incoherant mess. What are you trying to say here. The only thing I can guess at is that Ander is running after Kimiko, who is not running but pointing out some tracks to Meria's Eidolon.

Recap of situation
You all found a house owned by an elderly dwarf that was burned down by a fire elemental. You killed the elemental, the dwarf rewarded you. Just as you were about to set back out, Kimiko found some tracks that Meria's Eidolon identified as a wolf or dog.
What do you do now? Post in 24 hours please.
Kimiko |
"I don't know if it's worth following or not, but it seems to me if it's just a normal wolf or dog, it might not be worth our time. The man we rescued said nothing about a wolf or dog form coming through the portal, but he was knocked out early and might have missed something. Perhaps someone with some knowledge of extraplanar beings might be able to tell if these tracks belong to a NORMAL wolf or dog, or something more unusual." Kimiko shrugs, at a loss here.
Meria Meridoath |
"I can try." Meria moves over and begins to examine the tracks in greater detail, looking to see if she can see any signs of extraplanar heritage, scanning for magic in the steps as well.
Knowledge (Planes): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Will use Detect Magic as well.
