Minions of the Minotaur - Round 5

Roshan stands his ground. Two more blades slice through the air towards the tiefling defending the wielder of the red glaive. Both blades hit, one sinking deep into the tiefling's belly as he falls.

The leopard finishes mauling his grappled foe, and then bats at the cultist in front of Miril - almost playfully - except for the blood.

Another arrow from Anevia in the cramped quarters behind Konstain, but the door guard manages to keep her feet.

His hindering opponent gone, Chancre steps up into Hosilla's discomfort zone. He manages to land the first strike on her - barely.

Sigrit stirs, pressing hand to the side of her head, as though it hurts.
The scene outside her cell is chaotic, but one thing is clear to her at a glance -- the Priestess is distracted and in reach. She reaches within her soul for the piece dedicated to perfect, frozen symmetries and murmurs a prayer.

Out of nowhere (or the door to the north of the room) an icicle streaks out and cuts Hosilla's cheek.

Samirah staggers and curses after the glaive catches her in the back, but grabs her weapon and quickly assesses the scene before her. She chooses to help the sorcerer dispatch the cultist in the doorway. She manages to dodge attacks on the way there, but the cultist in the doorway manages to do the same to her.

Now alone, Hosilla takes a step back, decidely sinking her glaive into Chancre. Chancre takes 4 hit points. "Blood and death means souls for the abyss. She takes her never ending body to produce more destructive life." A bit of a manic light shining from the woman's eyes, "And it is coming, not in ones but in thousands. To overrun this petty planet and drag it home."

"Leopard may have the right idea," Drea mutters as she launches herself at the woman battling Míril, immobilizing half the enemy's body with a slick arm-lock, rendering her unable to use her glaive effectively.

Satisfied that Drea is not going to die immediately, Míril turns her attention to the remaining guards. She looks longingly at a position where she is flanking a guard with Kon, but realizes how badly defended it is. So she settles for attacking the guard right in front of her.

She stabs at the foe with her sword twice, missing the second time - but partially because the cultist is falling.

The final cultist in the door takes a stab at the near Konstantin, missing dreadfully.

Konstantin keeps up his grim work at the door, cutting into the cultist with silvery claws. Sadly, the final cultists seems wary and avoids the blows.

Anevia's shot breaks on the stone of the doorway.

Chancre does his part to help her with the we fall portion of her statement. Without a lot of sucess.

Another silent icicle from beyond the doorway to the north. Again successful, slicing into Hosilla.

Samirah grits her teeth and focuses on the cultist in front of her, trying to ignore the sound of Hosilla's pontificating, and the pain in her back and leg. But the distractions prove too much as the cultist ducks and weaves.

Another step back, and this time a successful stab into Chancre gut. Chancre takes 8 points of damage.

Míril steps past the guard she has felled and engages the cultist fighting with Konstantin. She picks out juicy undefended weak points on the cultist and pokes at them with her sword.

The scale can be used three times per day to activate any of five powers: Cloudwalking, Disguise, Lay on Hands, Resistance, or Sacred Weaponry.

Cloudwalking: As a standard action, a scale can be used to cast levitate with a caster level of 20. A pillar of roiling clouds rises below the levitating object or creature, growing or shrinking with the target's altitude. This pillar is 5-ft in diameter (regardless of the target's size) and provides concealment (20% miss chance) to any creature or object wholly contained within.

Disguise: As a standard action, a scale can be used to cast alter self with a caster level of 20. While disguised, in addition to the standard effects of the spell, the target gains a +4 bonus on Bluff checks made against evil creatures.

Lay on Hands: The scale can be activated to provide lay on hands as per the paladin ability. This ability functions as if the bearer had a paladin level equal to his character level.

Resistance: As an immediate action, the scale can be used to cast resist energy with a caster level of 20 - but only against electricity or cold.

Sacred Weaponry: As a swift action, the scale can be used to cast align weapon with a caster level of 20 - but only to align the weapon lawful or good. Unlike a normal align weapon this effect can be cast on an unarmed strike or natural weapon.

I woke up bound on the floor, sans my sword and armor. Speaking of which... she begins to look around the room for her armor. "I mean, my people are used to being sought after by slavers, so I figured that's what they were on about." She stops searching to flip her hair importantly, which causes it to glow a little brighter for a moment.
