Seeing as I missed that I was attacked, I would have just 5ft stepped and fired my bow. I did not realize that I actually stepped out of the cover of the forest at any point.

As the two approach the gnomes Stripe bites out at one of them.
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
Yes! Roll to confirm: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

You didn't step out of the cover of the forest Glyndon. They just came in for you.

Recap: Bursting out of their hiding places the insane gnomes rush toward the party. As the head gnome rushes forward Zaharin who had been prepared for an ambush looses an arrow into the chest of the blood covered gnome leading the charge. The leading gnome, now with an arrow sticking out of his chest, raked Glyndon leaving him a bloody mess. Glyndon, now in a lot of trouble stepped back and shot an arrow toward the head of the lead gnome. The arrow collided but seemed to be unable to effect the skin of this creature. Baltazar then charges in and does nothing.... Rosa then fired off her arrow but was also unable to pierce through whatever defence was blocking damage to these creatures. Although Triblin was not able to connect with his flail, Stripe jumped forward and snapped at one of the gnomes, tearing a large chunk of skin off. (Not a critical though, sorry) Although perhaps not quite the quickest to react Porter leveled his musket and hit home as his bullet finally punctured through the defenses of the gnome that had just bloodied his friend. Had Porter shoot the one that Stripe bit . Finally, seeing the situation going bad very quickly Zaharin slung one of his bombs into the group 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16 burning the gnomes quite a little.

Monsters Action, Round 2: The gnome that wrecked Glyndon will 5 foot step and full attack Baltazar.
1.1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 71d4 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4 2.1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 51d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 Lucky
The gnome that Baltazar so dramatically missed will now return and attack him.
1.1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 201d4 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5 2. 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 191d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 Not so lucky, there is 8 for you Balt
The gnome that Stripe so stole skin from will 5 foot step and try to return the favor to Triblin.
1.1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 51d4 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7 2. 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23 Confirm? 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 X2 so 4 damage.

So overall I believe that is 8 damage to Baltazar and 4 damage to Triblin

Healing energies flood through the paladin, and he nods a quick thanks at Lady Rosa. But he also realizes that Glyndon too is having a tough time.

Recap: Glyndon will pull out his spiked chain, flank and attack; but miss. Baltazar will then step up and smash the undead that came to attack him after bloodying Glyndon. With the power of Iomedae he cuts down into the head of the creature, killing it outright. Rosa healed up Baltazar. Triblin smashes his gnome adversary in the head, as his flail connects he notices that whatever shield seems to have been protecting the gnome is smashed by your flail. Stripe will then bite, but the shield will block some of his damage. However the last bite seems to finish off the gnome, leaving him to fall to the ground bleeding profusely and knocked out. Porter then sent a bullet whizzing just over the head of the remaining gnome. Lastly, Zaharin sends another arrow into a gnome, however the shield shrugs it off.

Monsters: The remaining gnome then licks his bloody wound and laughs madly. He seems completely unfazed by the defeat of his two fellows. Seeing Triblin coming up he spins and claws at the now present halfling.

Recap: After the gnome ruined Triblin, Glyndon steps up and tries to trip the remaining gnome; which he fails at. Baltazar will then miss, followed by Rosa healing everyone for 5 (including the gnome). Then both Porter and Zaharin miss. Finally Triblin, after waiting around to give his comrades the best bonus he can, runs away to lick his wounds.

Wow, that entire round and all that happened was you healed the enemy. What can you say, bad rolls.

Monsters: The gnome, looking invigorated by his newfound strength, will 5 foot step away from Baltazar and look to rip the angel women apart.

Cursing softly under his breath, Porter turns the musket around with startling speed and unjams it with practised moves. Then he reloads his weapon and prepares to shoot once more.

I am using Rapid reload and alchemical cartridges to lower reload time from standard to move-equivalent action, and Quick clear deed (without spending grit) to remove broken condition from my musket as a standard action. Try as I might, I could not come up with a combo to unjam, reload and still shoot in this round

Zaharin will shoot his bow.

1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 211d8 ⇒ 8

Recap: Glyndon will step up and try to backstab, and miss. Baltazar will prove that big fighters are not to be ignored and will slash down at the back of the blood gnome, dealing a devastating amount, even through the shield. Rosa and Triblin miss. Porter reloads his gun, and just before the gnome prepares to lash out at Rosa again (more than likely for the kill), Zaharin will release an arrow into the throat of the gnome, breaking through the shield and killing him.

The gnome falls, and the only sounds are now the coughing of blood from the 2 unconscious enemies.

Drawing his dagger, Zaharin approaches one of the fallen gnomes.
Noticing arrows embedded in the torso, he twists it free, returning it to his quiver.

I had hoped they would have died by now. Anyone interested to have a chat? I know I'm not.

With that, Zaharin continues his work, retrieving his fired arrows, giving each a twist and jerk to avoid breaking them.

"From what little I've heard, I'm guessin' that these people areinfected one way or the other. Methods known to me are either contact I mean bite, magic or maybe something they ate. At least those are main reasons in tavern stories. If our little lady here would be kind to check them for some bite marks..." - here Porter stops, and then retrieves a coil of rope from his large backpack - "...but surely not 'fore we tie them up like a row of sausages threatening to burst"

And saying that, barring any interference from his comrades, Porter will proceed to tie the unconscious gnomes to the best of his ability, then tie them some more, just in case.

"Evil or not, once they were good people, according to that little gnome lady. If we find any cure 't would be good if we can keep'em alive, wouldn't ya say?"

He winks mischievously, before turning back to Glyndon: "Sure thing boss, left cottage first, eh?"
