A Little Background Before We Start

Current map

Fribble:

You are locked within an adamantine box that is 12"x12"x12" within your cell, to keep track of you. The box has some hay at the bottom and minute air holes. Too small to see out of or escape from. The have however, placed the box on a pedestal so that they can view it from the window of your cell.

Current map

Those of you, who can see out of the cell door window slit, watch this day's events transpire. Six hooded guards can be located around the laboratory chamber. There are four large solid wooden tables in the center of the room with strange-looking tanks next to each one. They have a set of crankable gears as well as some wires and hoses coming out of them. On one of the center tables, there is a tall creature, perhaps 8 feet tall and pallid white shackled to the table. It puts up little resistance as it seems to be drifting into unconsciousness.
Hexin takes a curious instrument from her belt.
Oh please Hexin, not that! Laryn protests timidly, but with the most defiance that she has ever used.
Quiet! Hexin demands. Know you place! …Neryn said to get all of the blood from this one. It contains high levels of metapheromones. Besides, you act like you don’t even want to find a cure for this terrible plague. Would you rather see children suffer? We have to try everything! Hexin, angrily responds.
It appears as a small wooden stake with grooves and barbs inlaid into it. She places it under the right arm of the creature, which is very long, and injects it slowly into the tall, slender and fading gray creature. Its big black almond-shaped eyes are losing their luster and fading into cloudy orbs.

Dashuun:
You recognize this device as your blood shiv.

Collect the blood carefully this time! Hexin derides Laryn, These creatures are very difficult to come by and Neryn will be down here soon.
After Neryn arrives, the creature’s body is carried out of the lab through the east doors. Neryn directs the guards to retrieve what looks like a young, tan human lady, but with reddish accents. The lady seems fatigued and is quickly subdued and strapped to the center right table.
We will need a different set of tools to collect research on this one apparently. Neryn casually remarks as she summons Laryn to grab a set of metal tools from one of the tables.
I’ve never seen anything like this! Neryn softly exclaims to herself. This isn’t Grimm’s work, that is certain…Unless he is making some serious gains. Put this one back immediately, I have got to dispatch immediate correspondence, she states regarding the young woman.
After the young lady is put back into her cell, two of the guards go and retrieve what is supposed to be your dinner and begin carefully shoving it into the cells with a rod through the door hole. It comes in a metal container with no lid.
Laryn begins cleaning up the lab and putting the tools away for the day.
I think that I will retire for the evening. See to it that these things are locked up tight and don’t the “monkeys” slip up. I’ll hold you accountable, Laryn! Hexin declares before exiting the chamber through the western doors.
Laryn hums a little tune as soon as Hexin leaves. Two guards exit out of the eastern doors while four remain. They seem a bit more relaxed now that Hexin and Neryn have left. The lab is shut down for the day, but the light emanating from the various oil-burning lamps and torches never dims to give you rest

Current map

It is evening. The mood in the lab is somewhat relaxed. Laryn is gone and there are only four guards left. They are eating apart and relaxing as well. although they always keep their weapons close by.

Current Map

What happens now?

Regaining some mental clarity, Dashuun checks to see if anyone is observing him. As soon as he seems generally ignored, he wills himself to vanish.

Current map

No one seems to notice. The guards are entertaing themselves by cleaning their weapons, but they do not sit together.

HP 17 / 17 AC 10 (FF 10, Touch 10) Saves: Fort +5, Ref +0, Will +6

Oslo shifts around glad that he was not chosen today. Looking down over the food he brings the bowl closer, into the back corner where he has sequestered himself and calls to his god and drones on in his language and purifies the food before him. He then will partake of the meal, even if it is not much.

When then bowl is emptied he calls to the Father once again, to fill the bowl with water and drinks readily from the bowl. There is a twinge of guilt from the ooze for being able to eat food and drink water, but the feeling passes quickly.

With the meal he moves to the door and peers out to see what else is might be happening. He recalled hearing plague again and shakes his form, If they had only asked for medical help instead of taking me and treating me and all of the others like lab animals, I would have helped." The large bluish form seems to sighs all at once as he watches, and listens.

Perception Check: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22

If magic did not work for some reason, Oslo would have known shortly after he was kidnapped.

Oslo's magic works. He notices that the square hole in the door is six inches by six inches, but there are two metal rods welded in a perpendicular manner and an outer door to the window shut with just a small slit.

Fribble just lies patiently unmoving, waiting. Those who can hear in registers far higher than a human ever could can hear him softly singing a never ending repetitive droning song. His three mouth appendages wave slowly in time with the song.

Current map

Malatok bangs heavy on the cell door and determines quickly that the doors are solid. The only jarring is in deep within his bones from the vibration of the collision.

Dashuun:

You can't make out the armor exactly, because of the thick black cloaks, but you have determined that they wear heavy leather riding boots and you have seen them all carry some sort of club. It is some sort of thick rod with a smooth metal cylinder at the head.

No loose rocks or stones.

Fribble:

When you were captured and brought to the lab, in a haze you rememeber the woman with the shiny sword being extremely angry with the guards screaming, Gwrpm? Gwrpm!!! Ghu drgkyti gidsbn!!! Hfess hujjed thnskhf rpkli mkl!!!

The masked doctor halted whatever action was about to happen to you and ordered you placed into a box that you couldn't escape from. In their ignorance about your diet, they threw some apples and potatoes into your box. Eventually, it will decompose.

Dashuun tries to determine which cell the banging and screaming is coming from. Then, looking around, he begins to pile all of his hay in the corner, in the fluffiest, largest lump possible.

Current map

Schupt ind tere!, yells the closest guard who was clearly startled by Malatok. Willt comn andg bridng ya!he responds angrily.

Suddenly, they all seem to twitch and rub their ears, clearly annoyed by some noise not necessarily audible to everyone. You can hear a faint roar from beyond the east doors.

Current map

Dashuun:

Cell doors indeed open out, but are completely smooth on the inside. You can see from across the lab that there is a complex lock of five gears, each with its own keyhole. The is also a blue circle that glows faintly.

Current map

Great job with the language mandates thus for. Don't forget the overlap.

Can I see out of the box at all? I'm assuming not.

Current map

Fribble:

Assuming that you have eyes, you can see out of the holes because they placed a pedestal in you cell and put your box on top of it. They were careful to drill holes only big enough that you couldn't fit through, assuming that you cannot stretch yourself out really thin. They also leave you viewing door open so that they can observe your box when rounds are made.

Try thinking outside of the box. Maybe that'll work.

Current map

The guards become restless, trying to find where the noise is coming from. They each go cell to cell until they figur out that it is coming from Fribble's cell. The guard banged loudly on the cell with his club three times.

GM:
5+ locks? How long (in seconds or rounds) does it take a guard to open one of these mega-locked doors?

Current map

Dashuun:

Only five locks, but maybe they could be opened sooner with the blue circle? With a key, the guards can open the doors in about two to three minutes.

Current map

Malatok:
The guards are clothed in a large black hooded cloak and heavy leather riding boots over black pants with studded leather chaps. They go to great pains to keep their faces hidden.

GM:
How do they typically do it? The fast way or the slow way?

Current map

Dashuun:
You have noticed today, that when they opened Lady's cell, the guard used a blue amulet handed to him by the one called "Hexin." It still took a minute for all of the gears to turn and the door to open. He immediately handed it back to her, once the gears began to turn.

LADY is alert again having recovered from that horrible shock and checks her systems. a series of odd words escape her lips

" Eldanna El Ras Verum"

Tholoid:
" Station where am I?"

Hearing no response LADY stands and switches on her vision. she surveys the room and looks at the things. A bundle of dead plant matter?, Cut and crafted bricks done in a standard manner, supported well. A solid door of steel. It was welded together and has a small door like component in the center. it opens?

LADY tests the door to see if it will open like one of the automatic Star trek style doors. When it doesn't she speaks again in her emotionless voice.

"Eldanna volum vas"

Tholoid:
"Station open door"

When this doesn't work LADY gets to the door and begins to inspect the door and listens to see if she can hear any thing

Oslo found the odd sound coming from across the way rather soothing. He watches from the small window at his cell door as the guards move about attempting to find the source of the sound and then banging on a small box in the cell across and to the right of him. It would appear the sound is not as pleasant to others.

The bluish ooze watches, "Maybe this is when it will happen. Escape?"

He looks out of the window and forms several of his pseudopod. He then sinks down to the floor and starts to move up the side of his cell and then to the ceiling where he hangs in wait.

Ashleaf sits in contemplation and with all of the noise that is going on, he resonates with the tiny little song that repeats itself over and over. He had always loved music, the rhythmic movement of the air and began to use his magic to accompany it with vague sounds that sounded like woodwinds and flutes in varying octaves.

Guard remains dazed in front of Fribble's cell for one minute. When he snaps out of it he is confused but somehow believes the worm to be responsible. He was part of the catch team and although Hexin was not pleased with the catch, he is positive he witnessed a different form before containment.

He coordinates with another guard to crank up one of the mechanical pumps attached to the tank and pulls a hose to the door and places it in front of Fribble's box.

Fribble:

make a swim check

Oslo:

The portal door is currently closed to the viewing port in your cell door.

The ruckus continues all night, frustrating the guards and heightening their ire against you.
