the marath'damane stares at Fia and rhoekk, considering them both.
strange company to keep. an apprentice too long from her masters shawl, and a red shield of the Taaraad aiel. How about this for a compromise? if i can convince my mistress to hand over any unused a'dam that she may or may not hold upon her person, then will you swear a water oath to give back any and all posessions you take from my mistress and any of her subordinates? Since we are not at war with each other directly, the rule of the fifth doesnt apply in this situation.
Fia's arm snaps out, her finger pointing at the gathering trollocs.
"THAT is what we face. THAT is what you deliver your 'mistress' to. Explain that to her as they stuff you both into their cook pots. I have given you my terms. They are the only ones you will receive. You are mistaken if you believe this is a negotiation. I will not return these a'dam so that you may enslave others. How many of my people have you taken? Is that how it is that you seem to know so much of us? You may consider the a'dam payment for the chance to live!"
Without waiting for a response, she turns to the others, answering Rhoekk's question. "We leave now. If they still hesitate, leave the stubborn fools to their fate. They will not delay us further. If they try to follow without surrendering the a'dam, I will consider it an act of aggression and act accordingly."
Adjusting her pack over her shoulder, she quickly moves to Ryland, touching him on the shoulder. She then passes by Alathea, whispering before beginning to head off in the direction Lord Aelorn indicated.

Keelix Andren |
Perception: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (2) + 15 = 17.
Just...wow.
Keelix continues to wait, ready with a hand on the hilt of his blade, for a decision to be made.
Rhoekk of the Tardaad Aiel |
Eyeing the ever increasing activity of the Trollocs and Fades outside the warding barrier, and the not yet proven to be non-hostile Seanchan within it, Rhoekk raises his veil back into place, and readies an arrow on his string.
Ryvin Altessar |
Ryvin casts a look of disgust at the Seanchan and their damane, and follows after the others, sticking close to Alathea.
"Keelix, Vala, with me, please," she says, her voice unexpectedly calm after the way she spat venom at the sul'dam, the Deathwatch Guard and their slave.
Keelix Andren |
Not removing his hand from his blade or his attention from either the shadowspawn or Seanchan, Keelix falls in beside Ryvin.
Ryvin Altessar |
Just to be totally clear: all the hate is IC. ^^; None of it is OOC. In fact, I look forward to seeing how things will develop.
Amorial Suth |
"Lord Aelorn, I would speak to you for a few moments before we leave as I cannot know whether I will see you again".
Amorial moves near him and asks in a whisper,
Perception 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (13) + 14 = 27
Amorial's eyes go wide, "Yes, now would be a good time to leave, our foes are many!"
Zira Mitsobar |
Sorry for the long delay guys. I did inform the GM i had some issues. Also, i though by now you have searched her like you did Chen. Except he did it voluntarily....
Vala " the Swan" |
Vala looked at Ryvin and nodded as she walked over towards her and Keelix. She gave Keelix a hint of a smile before she looked at Ryvin.
"What did you need Ryvin?" She asked as she truly felt the urge to leave this place.
Keelix Andren |
Keelix's face softens slightly as he meets Vala's eyes, and his posture shifts slightly as she draws close, extending his vigil over her as well.
Ryvin Altessar |
"I need you to train me," Ryvin says in reply to Vala's question, her tone as blunt as a hammer. "With the Seanchan army nearby, the One Power is as much a liability as an asset."
The Wilder draws a deep breath, then speaks on, her tone pitched only for the ears of Alathea, Keelix and Vala. "Before he lost his mind, Kodokura asked me to protect Alathea, to keep her safe. I am sorry if that annoys you, Alathea, but I must keep my word.
To keep my word, I must improve my combat skills, especially the ones that do not rely on saidar.
And there is another reason why I need to become stronger: Keelix, you and I are linked. My death would bring madness to you, the madness that would make you fight to the death to avenge mine. I can not allow that. Our bond is one that was forced on the two of us by the twists of the Wheel, but what you and Vala have is something you spun out of your own will. I can not allow myself to be a liability to an unborn innocent, nor the two of you.
So, I ask you a second time, Vala, and I ask it of you as well, Keelix: teach me. Teach me the sword, the way my Da would have done, if no one had ever discovered that I could channel. The way he should have done anyway, saidar or no, the way none of those Warders would do at the White Tower. I hold the power to rend earth and sky, but I also need the power to rend flesh and bone with my sword. Please."

im gonna step in and advance the story line a bit.
Looking beyond the group and out into the half seen world where the stories walk around in real life, Tali says Since he is a Gardner, and his race has earned the full trust of the Empress, may she live forever, He may have my unused a'dam. He has shown restraint, and hasnt immediately found me guilty and push me into the fire. I trust that he will show restraint whilest retaining my effect for safe keeping until a suitable resolution with suitable representation can be found that isnt biased towards one side or the other.
with that, she dumps her bag on the ground and pulls out an a'dam that has the customary 3 foot silver leash. holding it as an adult would hold a childhood token, she pauses briefly and mutters something. then she hands it over to Amorial. Good Ogier, please keep this safe. This was my first ever a'dam that i trained with. It is dear to me, and i would see that it come to no harm.
WHile speaking, tali moves towards Zira and then kneels at her side, helping to pick up the spilled items on the ground.
after the task is complete, she lifts her head up high.
Right before everyone's eyes, Zira fishes out a second collar and clasps it around Tali's neck. A moment later, a subtle sigh escapes their lips.
Yes, now we are ready to go. let's go
with that, both women stand up and fall into the group, hanging towards the back.
Fiallain |
Fia stares at Tali, if not quite with openmouthed incredulity, it was not far off. After a moment, she shakes her head. We will deal with this later.
"Alathea, if you have the strength to spare, I could use some healing given the circumstances."
current hps, before any healing: 38/111

okay. I decided to try and post...
She looks at the rest, at Chen, then at Talisker
"Tali. That shield. Did they lift it? If so. Tend to Captain Chen. He needs it"

the shield is there, mistress. tali says sternly, her gaze lingering upon the three female channelers.

"Release her from the block. She needs to tend to my Captain's wounds." she states to those around
"You made us to adhere to your... requests" she spits out the word "we complied. Yet you still treat us as your prisoners. "

Keelix nods shortly, "I will give you such training as I can. Vala is where real teaching is to be found, however." A note of warmth chases a little of the flat tone out of his voice.
Rhoekk of the Tardaad Aiel |
Rhoekk will go either first or last, as best suits the group. As far as I know he is at full HP, and has not used any special abilities (not that he has many that have expendable daily uses...).
Special skills include pretty much just the ability to take ten on certain skills, most notably Perception. Perception: 10 + 17 = 27
Litheene |
Litheene watches carefully as Zira is searched and Tali produces the Adam.
A spare, as usual. Then, as Lord Aerlon reappears And that would be the curse I presume?, she releases the ward and moveson to join the others, on their way to the cave.
Her face the usual Aes Sedai mask, she drops any open sign of agreesivness now that the adams are done, strolling besides Zira. You are not prisoners. As promised, you come with us out of here, and of course you are also free to leave at any point you like. Alathea, I guess she can be released Litheene looks as Zira for a few more moments before adding Of course, I an show you how to weave Healing by yourself. Since you were so kind to be one of those who thought me to channel, I will be glad to return the favor. And I won't use an Adam to do so, though you probably still believe they don't work on you, right?
Feeling confident in her and her companions strength, Litheene still practices caution, with a Damane nearby and Shadowspawn around, and as they pass Ryvin, how is speaking to Vala, she takes hold of her hand, wispering in her ear A link, if you may? If you are exhasted yourself and will fight by the blade. I can carry on weaving, but will be glad for any added strength
HP: 70/80.
Weaves left:

level 1 - 3
level 2 - 2

Alathea Sedai |
Alathea nods at Zira's request. "I do not wish to keep you," she motions to include both Zira and Tuli, "as prisoners, yes? You have trusted us, it is time for us to trust you."
Alathea releases the Shield on Tuli.
Hurrying along to walk at Fiallain's side, Alathea hangs her head. "I am sorry, Sister. You should not have had to ask, yes?" Taking the other woman's hands in her own, she weaves Air, Water, and Spirit about her.
Alathea uses a level 3 Heal weave, boosted to level 7 with the sa'angreal to restore 7d8 + 10 ⇒ (2, 7, 5, 3, 5, 3, 6) + 10 = 41 points of damage that Fiallain's taken.
I guess that puts Alathea by Fiallain in the marching order. Alathea's at 32/52 hit points, and has 2 0-level, 6 1st level, 5 2nd level, 1 3rd level, 3 4th level, 2 5th level, and 1 6th level weaves available.
Fiallain |
Fiallain remains stoic as Alathea's weave settles on her, save only a barely audible sigh. "Much has been happening, and you are yourself newly recovered. There is no need for apology, sister. I would not have asked were we not likely to see a dance shortly."
Now at 79/111 hps. Just to make it easier, Fia will probably be towards the back then since I think that's where Zira was.
Vala " the Swan" |
Vala looks at Ryvin and nods."I can teach you. I don't know how well I can teach you in my condition but I can try. Once I have our child I can gladly teach you what ever you want with out any hindrance"
Amorial Suth |
78 of 83 HP. Did Lord Aleron respond to my question?
Amorial will look at the A'dam curiously and slip it into his pocket for safekeeping, "Perhaps this could be useful against enemy channelers.
Amorial will walk in front of Litheene wherever she is in the marching order.
Ryvin Altessar |
Ryvin will walk at Alathea's side, shadowing her as if she were her Warder.
Ryvin just grunts in response to Litheene's question -- but their saidar auras blend and merge, and the Ebou Dari passes control of the flows to the other.
Composure to Link: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (9) + 17 = 26

RIZZENMAGNUS |
Stepping into the overgrown vinyard, you begin a long, miserable trek through history as the wheel replays the events of what happened to might manetheron so many centuries past.
Where you stand, where is now an unkempt ancient vinyard with vines as thick as an ogiers chest, and various types of grapes ripening on the vine, and in various states of decay; you see signs of civilization. A well tended vinyard, where the vines are no thicker than a human wrist, where the grapes themselves are the perfect color of green or purple, where the bunches hung in perfect harmony.
A wooden post, set upon top with an elegantly carved sign indicating that this is the kings very own Vineyard, and that the grapes where processed into various types of wine for shipment. A number and grade is assigned to each row, with a subsection for every 50 yards.
What is noticeably absent is children. with so many people in this city, even on the outskirts, the children are gone. you give a silent sigh of relief remembering that at the children were evacuated days earlier.
as you progress through the vinyard, you witness scenes that obhor the senses. Draghkar sucking the souls out of humans, fades with women, trollocs tearing people limb from limb. Several trollocs appear to be gathering humans into a large pile as their kind sweep around them. These trollocs then pull out massive blades of metal and begin to butcher human bodies, hacking the legs and arms off, carving the buttocks and sawing the ribs off just like a butcher to a cow.
The worst of it all though are the Dreadlords that ride horses, directing the spawn towards the stiffer resistance, even lending thier strength in the One power to destroy bunkers and barricades. One man in particular stands out. Wearing a black jacket similar to the black capes found on the Fades, sitting astride a black horse. Well, you think it is a horse. instead, for a horse it is something else, like a fade with no eyes, fluid in its movements. The worst is the man. His eyes look normal, full of life, but his mouth. Wide set, the teeth have been filed into points. Rivelets of blood flow down from his mouth as he chews a strange meat. Looking at what he holds in his hand, you see it to be the remains of a womans arm. The ring, still attached to the hand, looks like a macabre wand as he gestures wildly, shouting madly.
He looks about, and then stops his gesturing, and sits perfectly still as he gazes upon your group. Tilting his head to the side with a curious expression upon his face, he absentmindedly begins to chew on the last remnant of flesh that was his lips. Shaking his head, he slowly rides closer and closer to you to inspect you.
coming as close as 10 yards away, he slows down and matches your pace. every so often, he will let loose a torrent of fire in front and around him, burning everything away to cinders and ash.
make a will save, DC 20 to resist the onslaught the madness of the depravity and horror you witnessed. fail, and earn 1d6 ⇒ 3 points of madness.
With the images of what you have just seen searing into your head, you leave the vinyard and come into a large clearing. the mass of wood and brush make it almost impossible to find a trail.
perception check anyone?

Perception 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Will save 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12
Ryvin's eyes widen and her lips tremble at the sights, the sights, the hideous sights...!
The Ebou Dari's hand turns pale from the force with which she grips her sword, and a thin, dark trickle of liquid seeps from the corner of her mouth while her eyes widen. Around those burning eyes, her face is appallingly expressionless.
Rage like the sea during a storm, gigantic waves rolling in to crash against the shore, to crack boulders, to annihilate coastal cities. Black waves, threatning to overcome Ryvin's will.
The little stab of pain where she bit her mouth is as nothing to those dark waves, and beneath the lightless ocean, a voice is screaming, screaming, screaming...! Madness, resonating with madness.

WS Tali: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20
The Seanchan and her "pet" are both unfazed. War is war. Killing is part of it.

Will DC20: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Chen is unsettled by these monsters around him. What land was this, shadowspawn had long been eradicated in the empire. On this day he had fought them and seen the savage history of this land. No wonder its people behaved like animals. The terror in Artur Hawkwing's homeland was unfathomable. The grimace behind his mask is invisible to his companions and he tenses massive corded muscles, ready to strike.
Perception: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (3) + 16 = 19 Trying to watch every possible threat at once, he scans constantly.

Amorial ponders at Lord Aleron's response but asks no further questions.
As the scene unfolds before them, Amorial weeps at the destruction caused not only to the people but to the land itself. "So much destruction, so much pain. So much healing must be brought to this land".
Tearing his eyes away from the bizarre scene before him Amorial turns to Ryvin, "Of course, I would be happy to".

Will Save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
I presume the baddies are not attacking us because of a ward or something? Is the ward against Shadowspawn mobile? If so, can I still shoot out of it? I may not be able to kill everyone, but a few choice targets... what is the range to the rapist Myrrdraal, and later to the filed toothed dude?
Perception: 10 + 17 = 27

Will: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (16) + 12 = 28
I do not believe the ward is mobile as the text states that you 'create a dome around an area...'. Yes, you can shoot out of it. And vice versa: they can shoot, throw, slice, pierce, etc into it. Only they themselves cannot enter.
Fiallain moved silently along, alternating between glaring at Zira and her damane and the shadowspawn. She too seemed unfazed by the carnage and horrific scenes surrounding them. This was but typical of a shadowspawn force when set loose. What did surprise her was the sheer number of the beasts.
perception: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (5) + 18 = 23
too much time watching seanchan, clearly.
