Feyce strikes a goblin but it somehow manages to survive! The other two do not fare so well as they both fall to the force of the heroes! Their allies try to strike back!

Also, you are at disadvantage as the one goblin does threaten you, even if its with cover.
I knew there had to be *something* regarding casting spells with a dude in your face : "Most spells that require attack rolls involve ranged attacks. Remember that you have disadvantage on a ranged attack roll if you are within 5 feet of a hostile creature that can see you and that isn’t incapacitated."

The goblins hold fast, preferring to defend themselves from their dominating aggressors rather than cower to their mercy! As an example, Dave's combatant dies valiantly as it is cut in twain!

Two of the arrows find flesh! The goblins then retreat back into the room they emerged from earlier, leaving the commoner to fend for himself! Erky decides that healing is required for the robed adventurer!
Dave takes a more serious blow from the goblin this time, giving the green-skinned creature a glimpse of hope! Elky decides to put himself in harm's way and uses his last spell to heal the injured fighter, much to the dismay of the goblins!

With two fatal attacks the last of the noble and brave goblin warriors fall lifeless to the ground that they so steadfastly attempted to defend from the outside invaders.
Combat over!
Taking a look in the corpse-laden main chamber, you see what might once have been a cathedral is now a goblin lair, thick with the filth of years of goblin life. Scores of wall- and floor-mounted sconces filled with violet-glowing fungi provide illumination. Along the southern wall is a heaping pile of assorted items, including wagon wheels, broken armor and rusted arms, chests, small statues, antique furniture, and artwork.
You also realize that other goblins, mostly non-combatants, had fled through the doorway to the northwest.

Searching through the pile along the southern wall Lebris discovers that it contains the tribe’s loot, mixed in with lots of other stuff taken from the goblins’ victims. The characters can find almost any piece of mundane gear that has a value of 5 gp or lower.

You also find a fine agate statue of the elven deity Corellon Larethian (worth 30 gp) and a Medium chain shirt.
As Lebris rummages through the pile and the others regain their breath the doors to the north open! Stepping into the room are four hobgoblins and a goblin. One of the hobgoblins is obviously acting as the leader of this bunch as he shouts commands to the others, obviously those that are hostile to the party!
Reacting quickly, the goblin moves forward and then casts a spell!
He casts Bane. Morgran, Lebris and Feyce must make a Charisma Save (DC 11). If you fail then each time you roll an attack or a saving throw you must deduct 1d4 from the roll.

Lebris resists the spell and then fires an arrow into the goblin, however the shaman still stands! Lebris then leaves Feyce to take on the rest of the enemy forces on his own by running into the other room! The hobgoblin commander takes one look at the sorcerer, expecting to have his way with the caster!

The overzealous hob swings his longsword with two hands but does so wildly, nearly spinning back and decapitating the goblin behind him!
