Senjin moves ahead, arms spread wide, trying to shoo the monkeys away from the group. He tried to make himself look as large as possible, hoping the monkeys would back away without conflict.

his plan failed, rather spectacularly. The closest monkey flung a pile of poo in his general direction.

Signboy77's PFS Scenario-rama

As you all gather together, trying to shoo away the monkeys, it seems that only Roscoe is able to effectively communicate with the simians. At Roscoe's insistence, the monkeys depart - though their whooping and howling can be heard in the dense thicket of the jungle.

"I'd just as soon slaughter the lil' bastards - but thanks for ridding us of those vermin," the baron offers in thanks.

With the monkeys dealt with, breakfast preparation continues without incident. "Eat well, we will be taking the elephant to make an excursion deeper into the jungle to day," the baron advises.

I'll get another post up in the morning.

Signboy77's PFS Scenario-rama

"Alright, let's mooooooooooove 'em out!" the baron cries out enthusiastically. "Would any of you care to join Falroun and myself?" There is room for two more passengers on top of the elephant, should any pathfinder choose to join them.

The trail is just wide enough for the elephant to navigate through.

Here's the map!

Please go to the map and put yourself where you think you would be. The group is travelling in the same direction the elephant is heading. Please post a simple 'Good to go' or something similar when you are in fact good to go.

Im on an iPad, DM, so I can't place myself. I guess maybe ten feet behind the elephant off his flank flank would be a good spot.

Chusynd will join Toshi riding on the elephant, chatting with him, the driver, and the nobles. Probably about Aroden.

    Signboy77's PFS Scenario-rama

While on the trail, it seems that the party has come upon a small batch of baby snakes, cobras to be exact. The sound of the caravan has alerted the mother cobra, who has circled back around to defend the young.

At the sight of the snakes, the elephant panics and begins to stomp wildly, throwing the mahout (driver) from it's back and threatening to knock the passengers off as well.

The porters drop the supplies they've been hauling and try to shoo the large snake away. (Left them off the map for clarity's sake.) The baron shouts for the pathfinders to protect the porters.

Meanwhile, the count cries out, "No, calm this beast down before it knocks us all off!"

As Darvik swings his scimitar, the snake attempts to dodge the blade, but the fighter is able to adjust his swing and slice the serpent in half! Blood gushes from the body and the mouth on the disembodied head snaps spastically.

"Whew! That was close," the baron slaps Darvik on the shoulder. He turns to Senjin and tells the two, "Thank you for helping out the porters. How's that bite?"

Combat over. Senjin still needs to make the Fort save. It's a poison, so you get your bonus to the save roll.

Darvik nods to the baron, feeling happy that his effort was appreciated. He'll slice the cobra a couple more times so it will stop slithering around.

Let's get ourselves together and get moving again. Senjin, you gonna be alright?

Bless is just a bonus on to-hit and Will saves vs fear, though if a 16 fails a 1-2 subtier poison, then you either got bit a LOT or somebody's trying to eradicate low levels, do ho ho.

Hwoof, I actually just read the above post. A heal check can help vs poison, if anyone has it.

Not trying to kill anyone off (yet, watch your back Khamul!). I was using a document provided in the PFS GM Prep website for the snake's stats. The snake was an advanced giant venomous snake for tier 1-2 when there are 5 or more players. Sorry, I'm really not trying to kill anyone.

Baron Rudyahm notes Senjin's injury and does his best to help treat the wound.

    Heal: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7

"I'm afraid I know nothing of this snake's venom. Can you try to fight it off?"

Senjin can make 5 more saves. One saves cures him. Each failure results in another 1d2 of CON damage.

    Fort save 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 3 + 2 = 20

Whew! Got lucky there...could have been really bad, lol.

"Aha - it looks like the poison wasn't so bad after all!" The baron happily exclaims. "Come, we must press on if we are to reach this tiger's territory before dark."

The party continues on without incident. After a few hours of caravaning, the jungle opens up into a wide grassy clearing bisected by a shallow, burbling stream. In the center of the clearing lies the partially eaten carcass of a gaur. Its throat has been torn open, and the grass all around the dead bison is covered in dried, sticky blood.

"Ah yes. This is where I faced down that beast those years ago." The baron kneels over the gaur carcass, "It looks like he's nearby. Come, let us set up our machans."

The baron and count help the party to set up the machans - essentially hunting nests set up in the trees. Once they are set up, the party only needs to wait.

I will update the map later this morning. If you need to do any healing before starting the watch, go ahead and do it now.

Can someone use my wand of CLW on me? If so, I'll roll and mark off the charges.

    CLW charge one 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
    CLW charge two 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Now securing in his mage armor for a few more hours, Khamul takes his position in the tree and mentally goes over his spells so that he is ready to use just the right one when the time comes.

... then will use Senjin's wand of CLW on him as requested.
