Eh. It was worth a try!

if you haven't read the 'spoiler' marked 'Seamus' please feel free to do so. I think were all mature enough to keep player knowledge and character knowledge seperate'

Seamus nods his head and smiles, "I will speak with my friends as we continue investigating the astrologer. However I was hoping the assassin would not need our help and that giving us the heartstone would buy our secrecy."
We can retcon the continuation of this conversation, I will go in form the crew and continue.

'This is an even stranger dream than the nightmare with the evil humans and the dead lizards.' Seamus walks away, resisting the urge to shake his head. Moving toward his friends he shrugs nodding toward the astrologer. "Lets go speak to the astrologer."

As they move he quietly explains. "The dancer would like to kill the ambassador because she is the primary opium dealer which is destroying the dancers people. Anyway she wants us to help her when she distracts the guards. I'm not sure she's much of a threat since she will need our help. Probably all just wishful thinking. Lets interview the other one. Then we can decide what to tell the ambassador. My only question, If the ambassador is a crazy drug dealer, will she give us the heartstone when we tell her who it is?"

Seamus looks at the others as they continue moving. "This is a really weird dream. Since when is recreational drugs a social issue in dreams?"

Vincent shrugs, Have you never had one of those stupid mundane dreams, where all you do is toil or worry about real problems?

He whispers, At least we know the culprit, let's be done with this.

Dol Theth

The party approaches Dol Theth, and he gives them a far-away stare. "Ah, I see, I have forseen your coming from the constellations of the stars. I hear the voices of the universe, and they have long spoken of your arrival."

BTW 3 inspiration points have been used for sense motives on three sense motive occasions. As per your instructions here, since you added inspiration bonus to your imps rolls. Your sense motive doesn't need to burn inspiration, but your familiar does not share the same talent for it

GM only:

bluff: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (17) + 16 = 33
Vincent sense motive: 1d20 + 22 + 1d6 ⇒ (9) + 22 + (1) = 32

Howard sense motive: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Leonard sense motive: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Seamus sense motive: 1d20 ⇒ 17

Everyone except Vorq believes that Dol Theth must be a genuine prophet and has forseen the party's coming. Vorq, however, thinks that he's just a charlatan with a gift for lucky guesses and makes bombastic pronouncements to cover it.

I'm not sure who this is addressed to, but if it's addressed to Kavriki, here's the reply below.

Seamus only:

"What I ned yu and yur friends to do is to kil ze Ambasador vhil I kep her guards distrakted. Yu kan take her heartston if yu so vish, I von't stop yu.Ar yu agreabl to zat?" Kavriki whispers back.

If you're agreeable then she'll share her plan with you lot

Vincent rolls his eyes, indicating he doesnt think the astrologer is involved. Especially with one of them outright admitting it to Seamus.

The assassin might have a way to block travel, otherwise we'll have to turn the musician in.

"Lead me to my great destiny? I'm destined to die in a pool of blood far from my home, I think." Leonard turns away, going back to the musician. "Got a way to immobilize the ambassador and keep her from escaping to the ethereal plane?"

Hmmm... Well, against (presumably) flat-footed touch, those sound like good odds to me! Let's do this!

Nodding at the brilliance of Dol Theth Seamus looks around the group, "No way that brilliant of a prophet is an assassin also. we may as well decide what were going to tell the ambassador."

As they walk away from good ole' Dol, Seamus tells the group I will go tell the dancer to use her gemstone, when she does I will begin singing to inspire all you guys. Then I will draw my bow and start shooting. Does that sound like a plan?"

Is that an ok plan? Also, if the dancer misses with her throw, we will tell the Ambassador that she is the assassin. If she hits we will kill the ambassador...

Strange Aeons Map Strange Aeons On going: Black Stars Beckon| Loot sheet

Kavikri agrees to the plan, then she sneaks off. Soon, the smoke can be smelled from the windows, and the party sees a plume of smoke closeby. "Fire! Fire in the stables! We need help!" The guards on hearing this, leave the room in a hurry, as Ambassador Quaveandra orders them to put out the fire. Many people in the drug den also rush for the exit.

Then Kavikri pops in by the window, and zaps the ambassador with her gemstone, then hides in the mob of people running in all directions.

Her claws carry disease.

Surprise Round / Round 1, Part II:

Done this way, because otherwise, it messes with the attack rolls above, since you posted whilst I was sorting-out my post ;-)

BTW your tail slap - being a secondary attack deals half strength damage. Just FYI, makes no difference in this case

The ambassador's eyes widen in shock, as she utters one word, "Why?!" before Claude rips her apart. With that, Kavikri comes in and congratulates the party on the job well done, thanking them for the number of lives of her people will save. The party is free to pick up the nighthag's stone, which happened to be in her beltpouch and not her neck (the sapphire pendant on her neck was just a fake), then wake themselves up back on the Sellen Starling.

The party realizes it is now dawn on the Sellen Starling.

It was just...there...on an altar, calling to me from the moment I walked into the room."

"That was a very different time in my life." Leonard looks down thoughtfully, reflecting on how he's changed over the years.

'A den full of Cultists?' Looking even more confused, Seamus asks. "So you picked up a sword that was laying on an altar, it just called to you and you went and grabbed it?"

Howard: 1d100 ⇒ 85.
1d4 ⇒ 1

Howard draws a dagger, and attacks Seamus, ordering Claude to do the same.

Dagger: 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 + 2 = 21, for 1d4 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (1) - 2 + 2 = 1 damage.

Claude: 1d100 ⇒ 7.

Claude snorts, and tries to rip Seamus to pieces.

Bite: 1d20 + 10 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 10 + 1 + 2 = 29, for 1d6 + 3 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 3 + 1 + 2 = 11 damage.

incorporeal nondamaging spells only have a 50% chance of affecting a target on the material plane unless it is force, yes? Also, Howard, not sure you'd command Claude to kill Seamus while confused as you are only allowed to attack. Do you still get inspire to damage if you turn on the board and are an enemy?

Viincent chews an herb causing his form to mutate until it becomes that of a deathsnatcher. He maintains hold of his longspear in two claws and moves towards the dream. I assume it's out of range, because I see nothing on map but us. I also am assuming since we were about to transport that heroism, mutagen and barkskin are up.

Vorq tries tapping Vincent with a wand to heal the backlash. UMD: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

Heroism up, but barkskin+mutagen no. Reason being heroism was up so as to prevent ritual failures, while barkskin+ mutagen is generally taken only when you enter Dreamlands, because what's consumed in Golarion is consumed in the Dreamlands but not vice versa. Vorq gets 1 round to heal Vincent

The dream isn't even in your LOS. It hid in the deck/ground/door.

It went through the door but is inside the ground? Not outside the door? Either way I follow it. Don't understand the consumed bit but doesn't matter. Sounded like we were boarding a vessel so not sure why I would wait until on the ship and being attacked by dream captain to use mutagen..

It's in an object and currently has total cover from you.

What object, the door?

The issue is the ritual is 50 min long. If you wish, count 50 min down from your buffs when you get to dreamlands. That's fine by me.

Usually for max buff duration, you want to drink before you walk into the stairway, once the ritual is complete. The ritual has not even failed once so why would you have, of this time decided to drink before you stepped into the stairway once ritual is done? You had no inkling that it would fail this time round.

Howard says animated dream can't hide in the door, so he's hidden in the floor instead.

Well, you attack to the best of your ability, and as per the Confusion spell, familiars are considered to be part of you for the purposes of targeting; the best of Howard's ability would therefore involve ordering Claude to attack.

I'm not there, I left the room looking for the thingie.

Familiars are self for targeting someone near you, but it doesn't say anything about ordering familiar, just attacking. But I guess that could include spells etc and not just weapons?
