So Marhok can tell Edric that it is actually a shrine and it would be best to cleanse it? If so can I use that holy water for a cleansing ritual?

Unnamed

Marhok can tell edric what it says and then edric can figure it out. And sure water could be used

Status Marhok:
HP: 28; AC: 20, T: 14, FF: 16; CMB: +7; CMD: 21; Fort: 6, Ref: 4, Will: 3 (+2 in Rage); Init: +8; Perception: +8; Speed: 30 feet
Unchained Barbarian (Titan Mauler) 2

Edric uses another part of perhaps the whole flask of holy water that remained after the ritual performed on the crusader's remains.

Together with a solemn Marhok, Edric cleanses the altar and shrine to Iomedae wiping away the blood and excrments smeared on it, and restoring the shrine to it's original splendour.

"Phew, that should do it I think." Edric explains after performing the ritual and pronouncing the incantations for cleansing.

"Hopefully Iomedae sees that she still has allies close to her enemies here. We might need her benevolence to help us further."
Edric continues smiling.

Unnamed

anyone want to pray or anything?

Status Marhok:
HP: 28; AC: 20, T: 14, FF: 16; CMB: +7; CMD: 21; Fort: 6, Ref: 4, Will: 3 (+2 in Rage); Init: +8; Perception: +8; Speed: 30 feet

Edric will pray, but I'll get a longer post up tomorrow detailing his prayer. Going out for dinner tonight.

Unnamed

enjoy.

when you do it, give him a perception check

Status Marhok:
HP: 28; AC: 20, T: 14, FF: 16; CMB: +7; CMD: 21; Fort: 6, Ref: 4, Will: 3 (+2 in Rage); Init: +8; Perception: +8; Speed: 30 feet
Unchained Barbarian (Titan Mauler) 2

As Edric kneels down on the ground holding out his holy symbol of Abadar in front of him, facing the shrine and altar to Iomedae, Marhok stands guard and holds his sword out in front of him in a knightly manner.

Edric softly and calmly begins talking.
"O Iomedae, righteous godess of valour, honour and justice, hear our plea. We few of the remaining crusaders of Kenabres ask for your help and guidance in our fight against evil. Though we are followers of Abadar and Cayden Cailean, we stand against a shared enemy, the demons have nearly wiped out the city of Kenabres and we try to keep them from spreading. We ask for your benevolence and blessing, to bolster us and our allies will and resolve to fight for what is right. Please aid us O' Inheritor, Light of the Sword in our present darkness, so we may continue to liberate our brethren and your fallen champions from this corruption."

Edric whispers a last 'thank you' then stands back up again. Marhok raises his eyes again from a silent position as he stood looking down in reverend silence.

As Edric prays and looks up and notices something. There is a sword that points to spot on the wall which opens up a secret passage. When opened...

This small chamber is free of dust. A holy symbol of lomedae
hangs unmolested on the wall above a weapon rack filled with
swords, crossbows, and spears. Three wooden dummies wear
pristine suits of armor. A shelf holds several leather quivers, each
stamped with a golden sun. Two silver shields hang from pegs
on the wall.

Treasure: This hidden armory was to be used in the event
of an enemy attack that required crusaders to force entry
and possibly rearm themselves. The weapon rack contains
three cold iron longswords, two cold iron shortswords, two
heavy crossbows, a composite longbow ( +2 Str), a masterwork
cold iron heavy mace, two cold iron longspears, 50 cold iron
crossbow bolts, ioo cold iron arrows, a +I lonlJSWord, 5 +I holy
arrows, and an arrow of evil outsider slayinlJ.
The armor dummies hold two sets of masterwork
chainmail and a MW heavy Steel Shield and a magic breastplate and magic shield

Spellcraft 20:
+I breastplate emblazoned with Iomedae's
holy symbol.
The two heavy steel shields are both marked with the

the other is a +1 blinding shield.

Sorry didn't show for me.
Spellcraft Edric: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27

Is the Blinding Shield a heavy shield or a light shield? and is it wooden or steel?

Edric smiles and quips. "Iomedae works fast indeed. She drew my eyes towards this cache of supplies."

Marhok will take the longbow, the cold iron arrows, the holy arrows and the evil outsider slaying arrow, he'll also equip himself with the breastplate and fasten a cold iron longspear to his pack.

Edric will pack the cold iron crossbow bolts and probably the magic shield as well. The rest they will leave for other crusaders to find who are in need of extra supplies.

Marhok inspects his new armour and nods approvingly. "Well I'm all set, packed and ready to slay some more demons. So let us set out along the path eh Edric? We'll probably still have a long way to go."

This room was once some sort of museum, but its contents have
been smashed and scattered across the room-even the shelves
have been shattered and torn apart in places. The decapitated
bodies of two knights, their armor and bodies broken and
mangled, lie in the ruins.

Upon entering Edric and Marhok see two of the rat demons that attacked Edric Earlier, they are 20 feet away and using falling crusader bodies as puppets.

I have two greatsword one of them is cold iron and i'm wielding it now.

Edric darts around the side of the rat-demon and tries to flank together with Marhok or at least provide a flanking opportunity. The distance however is too far for him to actually be able to attack.

Marhok dismisses his rage, his eyes clear again, but he feels a little tired now. He slides to the other side of the rat-demon and he swings his sword regardless of his weariness.

Rage 9/14 rounds left

Marhok checks the rat-demons for anything useful, information or items if they carry them at all. Meanwhile Edric checks the crusaders if they're alive or not, though he has given up hope on that notion already. He draws the holy water from his pack and begins the ritual of cleansing their bodies and preparing them for the afterlife, hoping the crusaders find their eternal rest peacefully.

I guess I'll need that one soon enough... I'll take it with me.

If this kills the Dretch, Marhok would move towards number 2 and threaten him when he casts the spell, else he moves 5 feet to the left. If he reaches 2, he will 5-foot step to follow him if he tries to go away.

Edric manages to survive the cloud of noxious gas and says a spell while holding one hand in front of his mouth.

Marhok looks to Edric with a frowned look, Edric replies with a surprised look as well.

Marhok towers above the tiefling and looks down at him with a stern gaze.
"O? So you surrender? Why would we spare you? What information could you possibly have for us that we might be merciful?"

Edric looks on, slightly amused by Marhok's initial try at harsh diplomacy.

"Well yes, my friend here is right. I'm far more reasonable but you've seen he can have a short temper. I can't control him but if you have something to say you'd better speak quickly. We can be very forgiving if you're straightforward to us."

Well whether the tiefling is lying or not, Marhok and Edric both shrug and nod to each other.

"Alright you can leave here with your life, provided you leave your gear here and run outside immediately. You would be wise to hold up your hands in a surrender or you might get shot on sight though. If you don't surrender to our friends you'll meet a more grisly fate than these demons here." Edric says with a fierce tone of authority in it.

The heroes make their way into the next room

Blood and filth smear floor of this long room. Six white
stone statues of famous heroes line the hall-each clawed,
bloodstained, partially smashed, or otherwise defaced. At the
far end of the hall, a raised dais holds an upturned alabaster
altar. Sitting atop the upside-down altar is a hideous mass
of severed limbs that have been stitched together into a vile
monstrous insectoid shape. Before the dais, seven ratty bedrolls
have been laid out on the floor.

They make short work of the two guards in the room, they have the same gear as the one that just fled.

Wonder if they desecrate the alters just because of hate or if there is a darker purpose?

Status Marhok:
HP: 28; AC: 20, T: 14, FF: 16; CMB: +7; CMD: 21; Fort: 6, Ref: 4, Will: 3 (+2 in Rage); Init: +8; Perception: +8; Speed: 30 feet
Unchained Barbarian (Titan Mauler) 2

"I don't know and I don't wanna know I guess. But we'd do well to clean up the altar and burn the corpses, give them the last rites and honours as well."

Marhok looks at the upturned altar and frowns with frustration.
"I'd like to get that altar back up again, but just the two of us won't be able to shift that much weight back into place. It's something that will have to wait till we cleaned out this whole place."

Edric and Marhok will clean up as much of the blood and smear as quickly as possible and put the insectoid shape of limbs to the torch, then procede on carefully again.

Unnamed

Marhok shoves the alter and realizes that together with some leverage they could put it back, it will take 30 minutes to clean it and right it all though

Marhok moves on

A long table and six chairs have been pushed against the
western wall. On the opposite wall, a tapestry depicting a
map of Mendev hangs from a silver rod-the tapestry has been
slashed several times and splashed with filth. A bedroll sits
on the floor, and on the nearby table is an array of alchemical
devices and a long wooden sword case wrapped with cords, as
if ready for travel.

And there are also several tieflings in the room

"They're only three of them Marhok, this should be a piece of cake for you."

Inspiring Word: +2 to Attacks, saves and skill checks for 2 rounds

Marhok drops the cold iron greatsword he had been hauling around with him and draws both his ranseur and his mwrk greatsword as he moves up to threaten all tieflings at once.

His skin hardens and turns grey as soon as his hands touch the already familiar grip of a ranseur, then his eyes flare brightly again.
"My turn!" He bellows at them.

As they use crossbows I'm expecting no AoO's but will tank them if they do.

I did, and I moved myself, or at least I think it's Marhok with a double move to be able to have all of the tieflings within reach. Threatening all of them either with a 5-foot step and swing or with my ranseur and 10 ft reach. Hmm scratch that thought about wanting to 5-foot step after them.
The way past the tables at the right side looks pretty obstacle free isn't it?

Unnamed

I see what you did!

He then 5-foot steps towards the couch and draws the cold iron longspear from his pack.
Again threatening both 5 and 10 feet distance from me.

Edric speaks in an authoritary voice to the blurry tiefling.
"You smoke and mirrors trick won't help you to stay alive. We're the slayers of mighty demons, a weakling like yourself won't survive at all!"
