DM, I need to shop for something that may not exist. I want Greek Fire. Alchemists Fire on Steroids basically. The ignition upon contact with the air is optional.

    King of Korvosa

What specific resistances could Odric buy in order to not die vs. black dragons? Knowledge: Dragon Stuuff: 1d20 ⇒ 2

Yup. Tinfoil hat and a light coating of oil should do the trick.

Gaius: Alchemist's fire is the most potent thing you can get your hands on that isn't a magic item. Rumor has it in far off Numeria there are inventions that do what you want, but they are jealously guarded secrets, and aren't available here.

    Grym is all over it.

    Bucho Stealth 1d20 + 12 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 12 + 6 + 2 = 27

Luckily even in his sleep, Grym is still fairly stealthy

If we are to fight a black dragon, we need some form of protection from its acid breath. I don't have any such spells in my books.

can any of the clerical types cover acid protection/resistance??

I have myself covered. I don't know if Ferox knows the spell.

Purchasing scrolls is probably a good move.

Ferox can cast Protection from Energy, Communal, but does not have the spell in his repertoire. A scroll would be good. Divided evenly amongst us 6 ways, excluding Gauis, would cover us for 20 minutes roughly, sucking up 120 hps of acid damage each.

Should be up to date tonight. I'll try to get a map up ASAP so you have a place to set up.

The party finds, what you think is, the perfect spot. There's a large indoor market that hasn't opened in a week due to Trifeccia's "help" The fruit and vegetables have a strong odor from rot, but it's got a solid wooden roof and plenty of places to hide.

Feel free to place yourselves. We'll advance once everyone is in place.

Since Ferox is taking a sniper position, I'll lounge by the well and act as bait.

(This was posted in Discussion. My mistake.)

    King of Korvosa

    Odric is poised for lounging.

"I'll follow your lead, Rogue" Odric rumbles sotto voce. "What do you want to accomplish?"

After nodding at Gaius' response, Odric prompts, "if you want me to bring steel to the discussion, simply throw something to the ground. If you want me to bring the threat of steel, run a hand through your hair, and I'll try to sway Sabine to your argument through intimidation."

MAP TEMPLATES | Social Combat | War for the Crown | Campaign Tracker |

    Morkeleb and Grym remain...

    Sabine approaches heroes.

    King of Korvosa

Son of a.... RETCON request: Odric tried to buy a Potion of Greater Heroism (or regular heroism if that is all he can get) and a potion of Fly. On his way to buy them he battled the post-gobbler and apparently lost.

I don't know. I'm making this up as I go. Look sharp.

MAP TEMPLATES | Social Combat | War for the Crown | Campaign Tracker |

I don't mind the retcon, but there's no such thing as a potion of Greater Heroism (potions can't go that high, level 3 max.) Both Fly and Heroism are 750 each.

Grym and Bucho are placed on the map. They are stealthing it up at the moment. I'm assuming they will come out ambush style if needed. Or if Gaius asks them to step out in a polite manner they will do so as well.

    Stealth 1d20 + 20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 20 + 6 + 2 = 37

    bucho's stealth 1d20 + 12 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 12 + 6 + 2 = 21 Grym gave his beloved dog a special pre-fight treat. Its apparently giving the dog the farts.

Grym casts Protection from Acid on himself and Bucho. He also casts LongStrider on Bucho (to give him a little more zip to help get into flanking position, or go guard/rescue Mork)

The ranger also uses his Mighty Keen Scabbard for both his blades.

MAP TEMPLATES | Social Combat | War for the Crown | Campaign Tracker |

    Only Morkeleb remains...

    Male Human Wizard (Enchanter: Controller) 17 Init +6; AC=19; T=16; FF=17; HP 23 / 92

With a glance at Grym that is asking his permission, Morkeleb takes position next to Bucho, laying a familiar and affectionate hand on the faithful hound's head, and awaiting Sabine's arrival.

When Bucho's manner tenses at the approach, the wizard prudently removes his hand...

MAP TEMPLATES | Social Combat | War for the Crown | Campaign Tracker |

Bucho growls the moment before the doors to the Green Market open*.

In strides a black dragon of awful power. His presence is made all the more discomforting because there appear to be 6 of him moving and passing through themselves. Upon him sits the scarred yet beautiful dominatrix of the Grey Maidens, Sabina. The woman's skin doesn't seem natural. Rings and bark make her look like a plant.

The dragon walks forward with a domineering and regal gait. As he walks in he turns his head and points out every last member of the Upturned Cup to his rider. The dragon's voice sizzles like meat on a fire, and grinds like rocks in an avalanche.

    Draconic:

"Pitiful. You cannot hide from Zarmangarof! I could melt your flesh with a single breath were I to wish it."

Sabine rebukes the dragon's threat with a pull on the reins. "This cannot end in peace. For my queen, I must end you all."
