Tarphesh slides a brown keycard in the slot of the machine holding Khonnir, but it only beeps, and nothing happens. "Gah! Someone who has the black keycard open this blasted contraption up! I can't just smash it," he growls. The half-orc turns to face the robots, gripping his greatsword with intensity.

The medical drone moves towards Tarphesh, and tries to dig its claws into the half-orc.
Needle Claw: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 241d4 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
Tarphesh Fort Save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
Tarphesh growls as the syringes dig into his side.

The flying drone closer and its chest gun glows with blue light and an invisible force blast flies towards Solaria.
Stun Gun: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 231d8 ⇒ 1 nonlethal damage.
The air shimmers and invisible air punches Solaria in her stomach.

Lendaro's shaky hand pulls the trigger to his pistol at the flying drone. His shot strikes the hard metal plates and bounces towards the other double doors. Rakdon's acid splashes onto the medical drone burning some of its core wires. Linpul strikes the flying drone. Its hardened metal plating negates all of Linpul's hammer damage. It speaks in a shrill voice.

Linpul's attack hit, but it deals no damage because of the creature's hardness.

Solaria takes out a scroll, wondering if she should read from it or not. Tetsuda moves towards the machine holding Khonnir, and goes into a defensive stance.

Tarphesh swings his greatsword at the medical drone.

His greatsword cleaves through the medical drone's non-dominant arm and through one of its four legs.

Thera maintains her song but otherwise does nothing else.

I still cannot cast my battlefield control spells without hitting you all.

Linpul steps back toward the table and swings her hammer. Reluctantly she pulls out the black keycard from her pack and readies herself to free Mr. Baine from the table. Her hammer was not going to be very effective which made her a bit worried.

"I've got the keycard Tar, just give me a moment here. This one won't go down. And I'll need a little breathing room to pull Mr. Baine out."

After a making a step for a clear shot, Dr Lendaro reloads and this time takes aim at the medical drone.

Thera continues to sing. Her voice echoes in the room.

The flying robot swings its hands at Linpul, spreading its fingers apart to clutch at the gnome.

It hits her with its hard metal fingers and grabs her. Pulling her up a few feet into the air, it stares at her with its three glowing eyes.

The medical drone continues to poke at Tarphesh.

But the half-orc knocks aside its hand with his forearm.

Lendaro's bullet pierces through the medical drone's head section, through the blue eye crystal. Electricity in its core runs along its body and it spasms violently.

Linpul may change her action.

26 damage to the medical drone. Both Linpul and the flying robot are grappled. Tarphesh is adjacent to the medical drone. Linpul, Rakdon, Solaria and Tetsuda have an action.

Ah I see part of the problem. We haven't gotten our knowledge checks. let me try that.

Knowledge Engineering: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23

Dropping her lucerne hammer the gnome draws her mace, instead of using the weapon to strike the robot she goes for where the robot must be watching her from.

"This is certainly a tight spot. Take this you pile of scrap!"

Dirty Trick: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18 I'm blinding it if it can be blinded. It's grappled so it cannot make attacks of opportunity. On it's turn it will take a -4 to str based checks such as grapple, it also loses it's dexterity to AC and takes a -2 penalty to AC. Plus other goodies such as I have total concealment from it. That could be interesting with the grapple. It might fumble me lol.

Linpul strikes the robot in its three glowing eyes, cracking the lens. Its eyes distort for a moment as it tries to recover.

Seeing they cannot get Khonnir out of the pod, Solaria drops the scroll just outside the door and charges in to strike the drone attacking Tarphesh, with her morningstar. "Die metal maniac!"

Thera maintains her Bardic Performance

Solaria strikes the medical drone, smashing its broken face in with her morningstar. It raises the stump of its broken arm to deflect the blow, but there isn't enough metal to block.

Rakdon's acid hits the medical drone's central coils and several of the coils burn and sever. The robot hisses in Androffan as it powers down.

Tetsuda rolls around in front of Khonnir, then taps at the clear surface of the machine with his horn.

Tarphesh howls as he runs at the flying drone, and cleaves through its rotor. The collector robot remains hovering and clutching Linpul.

Medical robot is down. 5 damage to the flying drone. Lendaro's turn. Tarphesh and Linpul are adjacent to the flying drone. Also, what is Thera singing about?

She's singing of past victories, hoping to inspire the party to continue the fight against these constructs, while imploring them not to falter against such defenses.

Hows that?

Slightly off topic, but I really want her to sing this at some point, since it sums up what she feels she missed due to the Tech League...I don't think this situation is the best time to bust that one out though

"Linpul, drop the key if you can.." cries out Solaria, "I doubt I can hurt that thing, but I can get Khonnir out of the pod. You keep bashing it Tarphesh, you seem the only one who can harm it by force." Solaria continues.

When I posted, it kept going to a preview screen, and didn't update the gameplay thread. Sorry if that was distracting/annoying. Please ignore the last three posts of mine. I'm not trying to rush you guys at all. Take your time.

The creature is dazed by Thera's invisible scream. It continues to hold on to Linpul, but seems to have lost its concentration to events.

Question, special attacks

Linpul throws the key before yelling for help from Tar.

"It injected me with something, it tagged me like I'm some kind of animal. IT CALLED ME A MONKEY!"

Linpul lashes out with her mace trying to jam it into the rotary blades.

Rakdon's acid falls harmlessly onto the metal skin of the creature and sizzles.

Linpul throws the black keycard to the floor. It lands in front of Thera and Solaria. After, Linpul jabs her mace into the rotor, entangling the creature, both of them fall to the ground, releasing Linpul from its grasp. The gnome lands on her feet, the mace is stuck on the creature's rotor.

Lendaro's shot manages to pass through the robot's rotor and into the ceiling.

Tarphesh slashes at the downed Collector Robot and cuts through some of its tough metal hide.

The flying drone regains its sight and strikes at Linpul from its position on the ground. Both of its hands miss.

Solaria moves and picks up the key, thrown by Linpul Sorry missed posting actions in last round, but either this round or next round depending on the kindness of the GM....

Solaria moves to the pod and uses the black key to attempt to open the pod. As she does so she speaks. "Smash it Linpul, don't let it insult you so!" She continues in a more ,measured tone, "If I get the pod open, I'll try and pull Khonnir out and take him out of the room, Linpul don't let Tetsuda attack me when I try."

Solaria slides the key into the clear-coffin-like machine, the "glass" slides and Khonnir falls to the ground holding himself up with his hands. It seems more instinctual than anything deliberate. He spasms every few seconds.

Dr Lendaro takes a few steps closer to Solaria in case she needs support. "Have him alright, Solaria?" He then reloads and fires.

pistol vs touch: 1d20 + 4 - 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 - 4 = 8
damage: 1d8 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 3 + 2 = 6

Rakdon will use his at will electric attack this time against the creature, considering it is metal. hit: 6 + 1d20 ⇒ 6 + (1) = 7

Thera rushes over and assists solaria

Linpul was not happy with the robot, it grabbed her, tagged her, and had insulted her. It was time to teach the robot a lesson.

"Dr. This thing called me a monkey, can you please hand me the ionic bonding tape? I want to hang it from the ceiling and use it for target practice."

Lendaro's bullet gets lodged into the metal, dealing no apparent damage. Rakdon's electricity misses the robot completely striking on of the ceiling panels instead. The light panel short circuits and dims the square of light.

Thera and Solaria pick up Khonnir, supporting him with their arms. His feet sag unable to support his own weight. He murmurs, "Ja goo na ma ma..."

is it another round, or we still in the same round, or is combat over?

Combat is ongoing. You may all post again. Lost internet for a while.

Tarpshesh strikes at the construct. "Just get Khonnir out of here. I'll keep it busy. I don't think it is going down anytime soon. I'll meet you later."

Tarphesh carves a chunk of metal from the thing, but it still remains functional.

Solaria (and I assume Thera) take Khonnir out of the room, gently putting him down 10ft from the door, allowing those in the room easy escape if needs be.

Will assume this is a full round action to move out of the room... just let us know when we are clear and done.

"Linpul... do you think this drone can open doors to follow us?"

"The robot said it can track me wherever I go. I'm going to kill it so it can't do that."

Grabbing her hammer off the ground Linpul backs up and attacks.

"Well I am taking your suggestion regarding the tape. I will cover the top half of the door to at least bind the whirring blades which keep it aloft."

From its downed position, the robot fires its chest stun gun at Linpul. Invisible, loud force strikes the northern wall.

Rakdon's electricity hits the robot, intensifies for a second, but doesn't seem to do damage against its metal plating.

Lendaro starts taping the top of the doorway with ion tape.

Linpul strikes the metal creature but makes no dent in its shell. Its rotor activates and ejects the mace at the western wall.
It is no longer entangled.

Tarphesh swings at the creature, spittle flying from his mouth. The half orc misses, nearly throwing his greatsword from his hands.

Everyone may post again. Turn wise it is Thera, then Robot, then Linpul, Solaria, Lendaro, and Rakdon together.

Linpul strikes at the creature but it knocks her hammer away with its hand.

Solaria, Rakdon and Lendaro have an action. Thera may also act.

Putting the man down, Solaria checks over his health, which is obviously waning. She starts by feeling his brow, listenin to his chest and feeling the blood pump round his body. "Let, me see if there's anything I can do to improve his condition."

Heal check on Khonnir 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23 to see if he's poisoned, diseased etc. Thera may assist too..

wait, what it is made of metal, but it has resistance to electricity? I figured it would have vulnerability.

acid splash: 6 + 1d20 ⇒ 6 + (2) = 8 vs touch
dmg: 1d3 ⇒ 3 acid.

It has hardness which reduces the damage from energy attacks by half. It might also have resistance.

Dr Lendaro finishes taping off the top half of the door, and reloads his pistol. "Ion tape is up... hopefully should it come this way, the tape will at least gum up its rotors. Withdraw to the hall when you tire of batting it around."

It has vulnerability to electricity and hardness 10, which applies in that order. Rakdon's electricity is increasing to 150% then subtracted by 10 from this robot.

Rakdon's acid hits the robot, corrodes a bit of the metal, but doesn't seem to harm the robot. Lendaro remembers that he has to tap the ion tape with the zipstick in order to harden the tape into a temporary barrier.

Tarphesh growls and swings, his mind focused on disposing of this threat.

His greatsword cleaves through the creature casts sparks about his blade. The lights cast a strange glow about Tarphesh's visage.

Battle is over.

Dr Lendaro removes enough unhardened tape to avoid awkward ducking...
"Oh well... excellent work. I'm quite certain my plan would have worked just fine, but your method appears to have proven effective once again."
He turns to Solaria... "How is he?"
