Xiddik is not, and has not for a long time been, favored by the RNG.

We probably shouldn't be acting so hostile around the witness, though—in this case, nothing she's done has been that suspicious, and the "smell something fishy" roll was, er, not successful. Xiddik's annoyed (being an innately untrusting lizard), but she's fully convinced that the succubus has told all she knows.

"Rumor has it," she begins, stressing the first word, "that long ago, this was an elven outpost. As I've already told you, we're quite close to Tanglebriar, Treerazor's domain. The rumors say that the elves here at Mirianath grew... overconfident, and fell into temptation of some kind, killing each other off and eventually dying out completely."
