1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18
Archers: 1d30 ⇒ 17
1d100 ⇒ 75
Arrows pepper the battlefield again, however they were less accurate than before and again, the one on the ground has taken the brunt of the arrows. Looking in terrible shape.
Bron up.

The Hermit Ganit D'Artain |

Waiting to see what the rest of the team does before I post. It could be a substantially different battle after 2 mages and an armored bulldozer rearrange the layout.

Jameson Addercop IV |

Round 2
HP = 42/42
AC = 22/11/21
Weapon Equipped = Lance
Speed = 50'
Challenge = 2/2
Status Effects = Mounted
Donal HP = 32/32 AC = 22 (20 Charging)
Status Effects = Inspire Courage
Jameson will charge the other wyvern.
Moving to G1 in the diagonal between Bron and Wyvern. Will take AoO from other wyvern.
Ride: Fight w/ Combat Trained Mount DC 10: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20
Charging Mounted Lance Inspire Courage: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (8) + 14 = 223d8 + 15 ⇒ (2, 1, 3) + 15 = 21

DM Aron Marczylo |

The giant baron takes a heavy swing at the wyvern, smashing his blade into it's thick scaled hide, but not yet deep enough to kill the creature. His maw is filled with blood.

Carina Stigard |

This was DM Aron's last order. Should be Zorestar and Telias up, James already posted his charge earlier today. Telias should have a swarm appearing this round.
will take a full round to summon the swarm so they don't appear yet.
Jameson's lance only just misses, but he is currently beneith the flying Wyvern that remains flying.
Ganit's first shot misses, however his second hits the flying target, delivering anad powerful strike to the neck and causing it's wounds to bleed.
Round 2
Order:
Carina Stigard (Greenwood)
Archers
Wyverns
Sir Bronwyn Raslov (Greenwood)
Zorestar Lebeda
Telias Markan
Jameson Addercop IV
The Hermit Ganit D'Artain

Zorestar Lebeda |

Round 2
Zorestar points his finger and directs the Flaming Sphere to attack the Wyvern again (L5).
Flaming Sphere: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 2) = 6 (Reflex Save DC 16 Negates)
2 more rounds of Flaming Sphere remaining

DM Aron Marczylo |

1d20 + 6 - 2 ⇒ (14) + 6 - 2 = 18
The Wyvern attempts to dodge the flaming sphere and though the net restricts it's movement, it is still able to just move out of the way of the flaming sphere.

DM Aron Marczylo |

Telias' action
Telias casts produce flame and hurls it from where he is at the grounded wyvern, however his shot misses.
attack: 1d20 + 5 - 4 ⇒ (1) + 5 - 4 = 2
clarification, what wyvern is the "other" wyvern? The one that is grounded or flying above?

The Hermit Ganit D'Artain |

ROUND 2
With impunity the ranger stands in his nest and reaches for the smooth whitewood arrows he had crafted for this purpose a few days before. Keep the b!&#% grounded. Can't afford that advantage, he thinks as he laces the first enchanted arrow and takes aim.
Full Round Action: Attack the Flying Wyvern using Deadly Aim and Rapid Shot. Note: I'm using two of my +1 Dragon Bane Arrows and my ATT/DAM include Bron's Inspire Courage.
Attack 1 vs Flying Wyvern: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
Damage: 1d8 + 8 + 2d6 ⇒ (4) + 8 + (1, 4) = 17
Attack 2 vs Flying Wyvern: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
Damage: 1d8 + 8 + 2d6 ⇒ (1) + 8 + (1, 2) = 12
Not sure what the Wyvern's health status is at this point so if by chance that 1st attack kills the flyer, please redirect my second attack to the one on the ground

Carina Stigard |

I think that I am up.
Visions of war and death and blood flash through the rather pregnant sorceress's head, but Carina manages to push these aside and calls upon her alien powers. Moments later two bolts of light flash from her fingertips and drill into the flying wyvern.
Cast Magic Missile @ flying wyvern, unless it is dead.
Damage: 2d4 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (1, 4) + 2 + 2 = 9
Not sure what the Wyvern's health status is at this point so if by chance that 1st attack kills the flyer, please redirect my second attack to the one on the ground
Sweet rolls Ganit. I imagine the wyvern's health is substantially worse than it was before.

DM Aron Marczylo |

Jameson's attack cuts the wyvern down, killing it easily and downing the creature. The flying one remains high, until Ganit fires off his his arrows, stabbing deep into the creature and causing horrific wounds, but it remains flying, if barely from the damage it's recieved from the attacks.
according to the book, they're considered Epic due to the CR...probably not good as they havn't acted well with them :p
Round 3
Order:
Carina Stigard (Greenwood)
Archers
Wyverns
Sir Bronwyn Raslov (Greenwood)
Zorestar Lebeda
Telias Markan
Jameson Addercop IV
The Hermit Ganit D'Artain
Carina's bolts of energy knock into the flying dragon, mortally wounding it, spitting up blood as the last one did.
Archers: 1d30 ⇒ 21
The archers bring the creature down, making it into a literal pincushin and it crashes to the ground.
Just as you tidy up, Ganit takes his time in attempting to scout where they came from. Their diet suggested a nearby cave and as you make your way there you found the horde that these creatures were keeping to themselves.
You find:
1) Potion of Magic fang, greater +1
2) Masterwork Chainmail
3) Potion of Wood shape
4) Potion of Magic stone
5) Darkwood buckler
6) Arcane Scroll, Gaseous form
7) Arcane Scroll, Ice storm
8) Masterwork Mace, light
9) Divine Scroll, Detect good
10) Sunrod
Piles of Gems and Coins. Gems and Jewlery totalling 299gp and a huge pile of copper and silver coins. 335sp, 550cp
this just made the map redundent...argh.

Bronwyn Greenwood |

The baron raises his sword high, the polished blade shining in the sun.
Hurrah!
The enemy has fallen, men! The land is safe! Our people are safe! This calls for a celebration!
He strides towards his wife, taking her in his arms and kissing her tenderly.
You did it, love. We did it. My blade, our men's arrows, your spells. Rejoice, for today we acted as one and the day is ours.

Carina Stigard |

As Carina sees the second wyvern fall from the sky, she moves out from her position at the entrance to the barn to look at the dragons.
That went well, no serious injuries and two dead wyverns.
As she sees her huge husband striding toward her, she casts Enlarge Person on herself and returns his embrace. She says with a mischievous grin: You name keeps changing Bronwyn Greenwood the Dragonslayer.
Carina then turns to the troops that accompanied them, human and kobold.
You all have done a great service to this land. When we return to Evergreen, we shall have a party to celebrate this first victory of the troops of Vertaria. We shall take these dragons back and create a monument to celebrate this first great victory. Forever after, you shall be able to tell your children and grandchildren that you fired the arrows that helped bring down these mighty predators.
________________
Ganit, you want to split the loot? I am sure that Zorestar will want to scribe those spells into his spellbook even though he cannot cast them yet.

DM Aron Marczylo |

I think the potion of magic stone should really be an oil of magic stone, unless Aron allows it to function on kidney stones. On which case... yeah, nevermind.
yeah copy and pasted from random treasure generator. All potions are just postions in the programming but yeah it's a oil.

Zorestar Lebeda |

Zorestar approaches Bronwyn and James after the battle and speaks to them.
"Vipera cum alis. A most impressive foe and a victory that will go down in the history books. I am certain that this will go far for the citizens of Vertaris in giving them a sense of security in this land. Congratulations are due to both of you for a job well done."
"I would be most interested in any scrolls found among the treasure horde. They would make for great additions to my library."

The Hermit Ganit D'Artain |

"None that I found," Ganit cuts in as he leads a trio of bag toting archers to the group. "Some poultices, torn out book pages n' some other mostly useless dreck." He motions the men forward and points to the ground. "Here. This place is good as any." As requested, the grunts spill their bags to reveal the contents of the Wyvern's hoard.
"Thought dragons was s'posed to keep their weight in gold. $&!**y hoard fer a couple a $&!**y dragons, I say."

Bronwyn Greenwood |

Bronwyn approaches the grumpy archer with a satisfied smile and claps his back.
Our greater reward are the the thrill of the hunt and the beasts' demise, Ganit. Our people can now sleep safely without the fear of these monsters swooping down from the sky and for that I'm grateful.

DM Aron Marczylo |

Still ill, but willing to try and get a post in when I can.
You do find that this stuff was arranged to such a way as to make a nest. If you hadn't stopped them when you did, they may have had eggs and children that would've spread chaos through your kingdom.

Zorestar Lebeda |

"Our greater reward are the the thrill of the hunt and the beasts' demise, Ganit. Our people can now sleep safely without the fear of these monsters swooping down from the sky and for that I'm grateful."
"Indeed this is a great reward to bring about the beast's demise, but I am not sure that I would call this thrilling! I would much prefer to be back in my library with a good book to study."
Zorestar will take the two Arcane Scrolls (Gaseous form & Ice storm).

DM Aron Marczylo |

Bronwyn wrote:"Our greater reward are the the thrill of the hunt and the beasts' demise, Ganit. Zorestar will take the two Arcane Scrolls (Gaseous form & Ice storm).
Or scrolls to scribe into your book. Anyway I believe that was the end of the event phase so it should roll over into next month. You don't gain any bonus for defeating the monster, but unrest doesn't grow and if you had ignored it, it would grow to such a rate that the hex would become unclaimed again.

Carina Stigard |

So, are we going to build the Market as we have discussed? Or wait another 5-6 months and just get the Waterfront which will halve the cost of the Market and Guildhall - which leads to cheap shops, inns, and for James, stables. Almost everything that follows from the Waterfront also adds value to the city which will allow us to buy and sell magic items. We seem to be increasing our treasury by 8-10 per month I think, although I have not kept close track of it.

Bronwyn Greenwood |

We have 40 BP on the Treasury and we're getting around 10 BP per month. I think it would take another five months of not building anything to get that kind of resources. I like the idea of building the waterfront, but I feel 5 to 6 months of doing nothing sucks. Maybe we can build a small Shrine to Erastil this month and then hold the money for the waterfront? We'll have at least a place for Jhod and the people commune and the minor item it provides boosts up the Economy.

Carina Stigard |

Shrine is fine. I just view it as buying the Market before the Waterfront is like throwing away 24BP, which really seems like a waste.
Other cheaper options might be a tavern, a park, and/or a monument (celebrating our victory over the wyverns).

Month 12 IC
Surveying their newly-acquired lands up in the western plains, the Vertaria council meets at a pavilion tent overlooking the recently-dug corn fields. The booming voice of a mud-spattered baron is heard over the winds.
My good folks! As is plain for all to see our efforts in colonizing the western plains are going really well!
Bronwyn kneels down, grabbing a handful of loose earth.
The land is soft and fertile, and shall yield its bounty soon to our hardworking people. As we establish and protect our western borders we pave the way for our folk to settle into the woods and finally restore the Temple of the Elk to its former glory. Father Jhod, you'll need to double your efforts of educating the people how to collect the bounty of the woods without depleting its resources.
He gets up, searching the eyes of his companions, the man-at-arms that guard their realm and people.
We'll need our eyes and sword arms on this region. Anything might come from the lands further west. Ganit, for the next few months I'd rather have you out here, patrolling the wilds and our borders to ensure the settler's safety.
Jameson and his men should make the roads safe enough but there may still be bandits in some of the unexplored parts of the woods, so keep yer eyes open.
As for you, lady Lebeda, I have a task of the utmost importance. As Varnhold sits to the east, we have a neighbor to the west. As we expand to that direction, we need to establish friendly relations to them. We need to assure them we won't intrude on their lands, and most importantly, we need to set on stone the issue of our common borders before our folks clash on undecided lands. The realm needs you to travel to their land and settle the subject with their ruler, or at least start proper negotiations. I have complete trust in your judgement on the matter.

DM Aron Marczylo |

1d100 ⇒ 69
No event, things go according to plan.
The speech is much appreciated and Zorestars wife gives a nod approvingly. Everyone is hanging on every word and listening to all that is mentioned of peace and not wanting to forcefully take over more than that.
Have you had communication from the west by sending a messanger? Also I'll generate the two magic items now, ready for your decision for next month.
Minor item 1:
1d100 ⇒ 84 minor wondrous item
1d100 ⇒ 4 Unguent of Timelessness
Minor item 2:
1d100 ⇒ 89 magic armour of shield
1d100 ⇒ 38 armour
1d100 ⇒ 23 chain shirt
1d100 ⇒ 97 adamantine
1d100 ⇒ 6 +1
DAMN that's a expensive peice of chainmail! Anyone want?

DM Aron Marczylo |

The second item is worth under 4k so you won't make any BP, but you still need to sell it to open the slot free for next month for somthing else to be generated. The second item however will generate BP (As it's close to 5k without the +1 enhancement.) just so you know.

The Hermit Ganit D'Artain |

I just assumed to be playing the wildcard with my Spymaster bonus. Whichever modifier we're lacking for is where you can add that +3 :-) Also, I'm content with my mithral shirt so feel free to sell the rolled armor.
We'll need our eyes and sword arms on this region. Anything might come from the lands further west. Ganit, for the next few months I'd rather have you out here, patrolling the wilds and our borders to ensure the settler's safety.
"Ay, I'll try an keep them travelers from losin' a boot to the mud er gettin themselves mauled by thylacines. Won't promise nothin' tho."

1d100 ⇒ 58
1d100 ⇒ 87
New members of the fey enter your kingdom and swear allegence to you. these consist of a stunning Dryad with flowing redhair and only a few leaves covering her modesty, leaving little to the imagination, a satyr named Harod, a pixie named Raul Redwood, A Forlarren that matches the one Carina met once in the woods.
They also bring with them gifts and tools to help in whatever way possible. This benefits the kingdom by reducing unrest by 2 (doupt you had any) and granting you 1d6 ⇒ 1 BP
thanks to a handy tool developed online I can just simply generate the items with a single button press.
Slot 1: belt of giant strength +2
Slot 2: potion of Enlarge Person

Carina Stigard |

For those interested:
Sorry the pics are a little small, did not have the energy to redo them. Let me know if we should move something. I know we get experience for filling blocks, but in Evergreen, putting the Shrine and Monument next to the Dump and Tannery just seems wrong. I also did not put them by the house as that is for the Market.
Not sure why we have 2 houses in Olegsburg, but it is fine, just seems like we spent some BP unnecessarily as the same house can be used as the basis for the Herbalist and the Stable.
Just my thoughts. Please let me know whether there are any buildings that people want moved.
