The troupe heads down the sewer tunnels moving as fast as the footing will allow them to, the tunnel stretches for another 60' then makes a turn back to the direction the troupe came in.

Another 20' they arrive at yet another door! It is as if the Gods themselves want this group to open a door... The door here is framed by sturdy brick.

By the lantern and torchlight, the troupe can see that the tunnel which runs another 20' will once again head what you all believe is south.

Investigate or keep moving?

Keamba looks to the two, "Should I just try and force it in?"

The language is one that Vara does recognize though she does not speak it, it is Goblin.

Now armed with the knowledge of the language being utilized on the other side, do you still want to open the door? I'll take the first yes or no as it comes to get us moving forward again with some regularity!

Vara - you are not sure whether you are still being pursued or not, likely you are as the Hellknights are known for being relentless.

Sia kicks in the door leaving Keamba a bit red faced, unfortunately though, the element of surprise has been lost. The goblins within are ready for you, crossbows cocked and ready to fire. There are three of them, two stand behind large wooden chairs which provide some but minimal coverage both 10' away and the third is flush against the wall 15' feet to your right.

Malqazar locks eyes with a goblin and stares intently. He gazes at the goblin, then to another, and back to the first. He then taps his walking stick against the ground, satisfied with whatever he just did.

Casting unnatural lust on one chair goblin with the target of the other chair goblin. DC is 16 will.

Sia glides into the room, and activates her Arcane Strike on her scimitar. She slashes out at the goblin Jing didn't hit.

Jing's sling cracks one of the Goblins behind teh wooden chairs, he foes right down like a sack of potatoes.

Vara's shuriken lands in the other Goblin. Who keeps his feet resisting Vara's poison, what he cannot resist is the blade of Sia which brings him low.

Blackspire holds onto his bolt as the one behind the desk has yet to move.

Malqazar likewise holds his spell as the target and recipient of his spell both got themselves perished.

The Goblin raises it's hand speaking damn near fluent common, "Not shoot Gleek!"

Jing had already raised his sling again, having found a rock to use as ammo when the Gnome spoke. He paused, considered, and slowly began lowering the sling.

Jing looks around at the group...like they were nuts. They paused without a real plan to handle a goblin? He shook his head, He wasn't liking where this was going.

"Confined he must be while not on performance. Lest the town guards kill him in ernest. Provided we aren't captured ourselves first, for prisoner life is far worse." he said randomly.


Malqazar sighs slightly before responding to Sia. Hm. Interesting is one word for it I suppose. I've never been one for goblins but I suppose this one could be useful."

Gleek pauses until the Troupe ceases speaking, "Gleek in super secret hideout planning grand plots! Then you Longshanks break in and now Gleek have to get new Minions!" He sighs as if the deaths of his fellows is an inconvenience.

"What you all do down here?"

He pauses again considering Sia's question, "Gleek no eat Longshanks, dog maybe but no Longshanks. Gleek help Longshanks in past but those Longshanks not kill Gleek Minions..."

His hands remain up in the air over his head the entire time.

Jing listened to what the goblin said with only mild interest. He pulled out his journal and dipped a claw in one of the dead goblin's wounds before scrawling out the name of the man. He'd definitely have to search this one out at some point and use the information to his advantage. He smelled a wonderful payout in his future.

"Gleek the goblin, you should know that there are Hellknights coming soon. If you have a super super secret hiding spot, I'd suggest we all head there. You can find more minions later...or even become one if you want. We should seriously leave....like now."

Blackspire does not hear the sounds of anyone in heavy armor marching through the sewers, yet anyway...

Janiven chimes in, "We should go and we should bring this Gleek with us, he will betray us if pressed and I'll not kill an unarmed prisoner, not even one as foul as a Goblin".

Gleek smells his pits, "Gleek not foul, him wipe fish on armpit just yesterday! Smell delicious!"

Those of you who are close now do notice that odor, the smells down here have been so bad it's hard to smell one distinct funk from another.

Blackspire is very uncomfortable with forcing anyone to do things against their will. Getting Gleek's cooperation would be his preference.

Gleek's eyes light up, "Yarp. I show you the way!"

The Goblin, coins in hand from Blackspire races out of the room and around the corner, through a door and to a ladder which leads up. As he begins to climb, you hear the sounds of metal scraping.

"Get down there now! Hurry, they may be trying to escape through the sewers beneath the city!"

Based on the voice it is clear the speaker is a human, it is also clear that these are probably Hellknights...

The Troupe has a few options here: (1) Stand your ground and fight, (2) race past Gleek down wherever this eastern corridor leads, (3) go back through the door south which is where the trail to the safehouse appeared to be leading you, (4) head back into the room you just left, or head back up the way you cam to get here, north. Unde any scenario except stand and fight, you will all need to make Stealth checks and decide what to do, if anything, with Gleek!
