Yeah, I meant only the Japanese combined horses with a composite longbow (the daikyu). Many of the steppe nomads (most notably the Mongols) mastered mounted archery. But none with the power of the longbow other than the Japanese (who never really bothered much with cavalry except for the nobility).
Whew! Things were looking a little grim there, I thought we were looking at a TPK. But now the tables have turned!
Good thing to, this is the last of 3 PBP games I was part of on this site, the other two went off the boards when our DM's went AWOL. I'm sure they had their reasons, one even said he was undergoing surgery, but it's still a disappointment.
And for that matter if it wasn't for DM Azure Zero stepping in to pick up the slack when Solo disappeared, this game would have fizzled to.
So thanks again Azure Zero! and don't kill us too quick, this is the only game I've got left.
Rory sends yet another bullet at the bandit threatening Halloran and Eamon, before continuing to circle around the battlefield behind the logs.
Attack:
My understanding is also that Y9 is a bandit and he's down. EE10 is a bandit who may be back in the fight. AZ hinted as much at the end of round 7 on April 16. I'm not sure which way he applied my conditional action for Silstaren.
The tree bandit is down. Maybe due solely to Rory, maybe Sil's hammer toss helped.
That leaves the hidden bandit and maybe EE10 as foes.
Disclaimer -- just my understanding of te situation.
The cleric moves to CC12 and channels a burst of healing energy, excluding the bandit in Y9 or whatever bandit is standing up or alive in the area. Royston activates his Agile Feet ability again to avoid difficult terrain.
Healing 1d6
50/50 Chance Bandit at EE10 gets healed and back up.

Have we any idea where the hidden bandit is shooting from? (I presume it's an archer?) Even if it's just something like "west of the party on the line from FF7 to A21"? Did bandit at EE10 put himself back in the fight?
Silstaren steps back to get a better angle on the archer in the tree. Move to DD9
If EE10 is back in the fight, then Silstaren will spin to cut him down again. Curve blade v. bandit in EE108 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4... damage 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Or If EE10 stays down, Silstaren pulls a hammer from his belt and throws at the bandit in the tree. Hammer 1d20 + 3 - 2 ⇒ (17) + 3 - 2 = 18... damage 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Just realized that in Saturday's post I accidentally kept the +2 on my attack for charging when I shouldn't have. (only a 5' move)

was that a non-lethal attack, or a lethal one?
and attacking him is meta-gaming,
unless you have in-game reason to smack him.
I don't know if I have in game reason or not. I've got a public proclamation from the DM that EE10 may (50/50) be on his feet and fighting. I posted conditionally based on whether or not EE10 was back in the fight. (Or whether Silstaren perceived him being back in the fight.) If you had indicated which attack Silstaren had actually made I would have some clue.

Royston, if you want to find a teacher for languages,
There are a few,
Alkaid knows Abyssal and Sylvan.
Kobold mentioned someone to Halloran, who knows a 2 rare languages.
