Will Galactic Ancestries include Gnolls and Kitsune? What about new feats / heritage for Vlaka?

As expected, it made that up, and none of that is actually true. Generative AI will almost never have accurate information about anything past its model training date, even beyond its normal unreliability.

We will at least be getting some PF2 Player Core 1 ancestry content, but any other PF2 ancestry material would be unlikely. We will be getting some SF2 Player Core ancestry material, but additions to any others are unknown.

Now, having kitsune and kholo show up eventually is pretty reasonable - both had SF1 versions, and one Starfinder dev is a fan of kitsune. It might just have to be after Starfinder-exclusives are a little more caught up on.

Obligatory don't trust AI search, yada yada yada. Your AI search is probably just sourcing that from the general PF2 combability with SF2, or both of them appearing in Starfinder Enhanced for 1e.

All the ancestries that have been confirmed from PF2 are from Player Core 1 (ex. elf, goblin, leshy) so I would calibrate your expectations to the PC1 options in terms of PF2 ancestries making appearances.

More support for Vlaka I think is more realistic, its just a question of if they're going to give more support to the Galaxy Guide ancestries or just the Player Core ones.

Well, we actually do know for a fact that your AI search is inaccurate right now, because it's telling you things that no Starfinder developer or press release stated.

It's a predictive keyboard. It was able to algorithmically conclude that people who talk about Starfinder and Pathfinder Ancestries say words like "Kitsune" and "Gnoll". So it threw them together in a sentence without caring if it's accurate.

I dug a little deeper and asked AI to show its sources for the info on Gnolls and Kitsune, and it linked to another thread started by the OP

Which is odd because it's not what the AI link says it's linked to, AI claims to be linking to "Paizo Forums - Scions of Lost Golarion / Part 3 Player Core 2", I can't find a thread or blog post with that name. But there is a Reddit post on Scions of Lost Golarion.

My guess is someone taught AI the dubious knowledge feat, and or the deception skill.

I can't speak for your search, but I can speak for what google's AI gave me when I google searched out of curiousity. And the sources it gave were info about general PF2 compatibility and them being in 1e Starfinder.

The other part of it that triggered my AI BS meter is that Paizo wouldn't say "gnolls are in Galactic Ancestries", they'd say "Kholos are in Galactic Ancestries".

I do believe that some of the ancestry feats that got dropped for space from the playtest to the new starfinder races probably get added back. Not sure if vlaka would get any more as the galaxy guide ancestries had a more robust number of options.

I am sure they want some favorites from PF2 ancestries but they also going to want a lot of starfinder ones. I kinda suspect we get core race options from PF2 to starfinder them and then new Starfinder ancestries so I suspect probably not kholo or kitsune.

One thing you should bear in mind: That isn't a search. AI does not search. It is making up a response based on information it has been fed, which can include a lot of BS. it is not going to search for information to pull you up the latest news. It is just making up something that by it's algorithm is most likely to be what you wanted to hear.

As far as I can tell, that gnolls and kitsune were never mentioned on any streams. Most likely AI being AI and giving false info. The AI is also wrong, because Paizo would not have referred to kholos as gnolls for Starfinder 2E.

For the sake of likeliness. Kitsune I'd put on low likelihood, but not zero. Kholo on the otherhand, I didn't run into really, so I would not be surprised if they would not show up for some time. I doubt either of them would be in Galactic Ancestries, as I'd imagine Paizo would want to focus more on core ancestries and iconically Starfinder ancestries. Though, given the nature of Starfinder's cantina feel.

It does lead me to wonder. While it's nice getting one or two ancestries a base book, I wonder if Paizo would ever consider a Galactic Ancestries 2. There really are a lot of aliens to choose from in Starfinder, and just one or two per book would take awhile to cover them. Especially when covering Pathfinder ancestries.
