How does this API interact with ownership verifications? I typically didn't ask for pdfs with watermarks, I usually just asked the person to show their Paizo digital downloads on their phone to show they owned a pdf. Would we be able to use this API to get ownership verification without the player logging into their account?

Correction here that you've brought up as well! We're actually just going to check your receipt from paizo.com to make it even easier!

The Paizo Connect API looks to see whether a particular title is in your Digital Library, so the removal of watermarking shouldn't affect it at all. If you notice any errors on a partner site linked to paizo.com via Paizo Connect, please let their customer service department know and they'll contact us to get it worked out.

Are you referring to the ownership watermark? Curious because I downloaded one of the PDFs I purchased years ago (PF1e) and it still had my name/email at the top/bottom.
The old digital content page will still generate watermarks, and that's actually the only way to get some of your old downloads at the moment. But PDFs downloaded via the new store do not have watermarks.

Squark is correct here! Content downloaded from the old Digital Downloads page will still have the watermark, but downloads from the new store will not as per this initiative!

Nice.
However, it is even more important for order history to come over. Also if someone needs to re download something to use later they now need to go back in their history to find the receipt? Will we always have access to our digital library on the current site or is that going away? Feels redundant if the order history comes over, but a nice backup either way.
Maybe make purchase history searchable or bring back the feature 'previously purchased on' on the pages so we can click it and it will link to our order.
You say receipt, could we just pull up our library and show it exists on the library as well?

At bare minimum, we will not be removing access to the old digital library until we are confident that the access to those files is replicated in full in the new system.

Yup, that works too! That's also a way to prove purchase!

Thanks for confirming this, Brian! I know several members of our community were concerned, so this should ease worries!

About the watermarking, warning for anyone wanting to use the old "PDF to Foundry" module to import old adventures to your Foundry worlds: the module was using the watermark to detect if it was a legitimately bought PDF. Without that watermark, it is now impossible to use if you just bought the adventure on the new website!

So I am a little late but can you tell me how I am to use these files now with Foundry VTT? I need to download my files with watermarks.
So far this is more akin in its own way to what Wiz did with the OGL, (IMO). Do I now have to rebuy all my content with a tag for Foundry? I didn't before. This seems like a scam.
Can you tell me how I could, say, upload the new BB covered under ORC into Foundry? I could get the old one before but now I can't upload either one.

So, I have an issue with the Draconic Codex I just purchased as a PDF. There is a watermark at the top and it says a name (I won't write it here but it is NOT MY NAME). I thought watermarks were a thing of the past. Also, why the frick is someone else's name on MY PDF?
P.S. I also notice there are 4 total download options for Draconic Codex. The first two are Single File, the last two are Files by Chapter. Why give 4 total options to download? Very confusing to say the least, and you have to click on one to even see if it is Single or by Chapter.

So, I did a little research and the top 2 download options are Single File, the next 2 are by Chapter. Again, I had to click on all 4 to even see what the download option would be (Single or Chapter).
With that said, when I choose the top one it is, in fact, NOT WATERMARKED and is as you guys have been claiming to be without watermarks. So, why have 4 options? At least the Single option (the second one in the list) is watermarked and has someone else's name on it?

The incorrect watermark is a known mistake on their end (with the copy watermarked for a particular Paizo employee being uploaded instead of the original). I believe that they stated that the file had been updated with a watermark-free copy, but the version that I'm able to download isn't fixed.
I however only have 2 downloads for LO:DC available: the incorrectly watermarked single file, and the un-watermarked split set of files.

YES! Please bring back the notation marking items as previously purchased. We need some way to be able to reference that, and the digital library is not sufficient since it won't include physical copy items purchased outside of subscriptions.

This is correct! These are all known issues that we're currently working to fix!

Now that there are two digital libraries:
Are there any plans to merge those two libraries?
If yes, when is the merge to be expected?
If no, will the old library vanish at some point?
We're working on making one library combining everything, but it's our largest known issue of the new store! We do not have a time estimate for this, but everything will eventually be in one place, and we appreciate your patience while we work on it!
