Official announcement on MyMiniFactory

Looks like we're getting the Player Core iconics from PF, the Murder in Metal City pregens from SF (same as the SF player core iconics?), akashic dragon, and a selection of troops for Battlecry to start with.

If the supply of files keeps up, I'm going to have one busy printer.

The exact text from that link:

As a launch point for the partnership, the first miniatures available will be the six Starfinder Second Edition iconic characters, the six pre-generated characters from Starfinder Murder in Metal City, the akashic dragon from the cover of Starfinder Player Core, two bonus Starfinder miniatures, and a variety of Andoran and Chelaxian troops to support Pathfinder Battlecry! In addition to being available digitally, these miniatures will also be available as print-on-demand figures via Titan Forge.

The the Pathfinder iconics won'T be there from the start, but the Starfinder ones, the pregens from the Murder in Metal City (which are different characters from the iconics), the awesome akashic dragon from Starfinder, and some chelaxian and andoran troops.

Unless there's another announcement that talk about the Pathfinder iconics, that I have missed?

(But thanks for sharing, I would have completely missed this otherwise! I don't have usse for them, but a friend do have a printer and might be interested.)

Hi everyone,

According to the press release, the selection of Starfinder miniatures would become available starting July 31st, 2025, to coincide with Gen Con.

Was this a Gen Con exclusive first release? Or has the online rollout been delayed slightly? I’m particularly excited about the Starfinder 2e iconics and the pregen for the adventure, so I’m eager to know when they’ll go live for general download or order.

Thanks in advance for any info, and congrats to all involved, this looks like a great partnership for the community!

I saw this on MMF’s homepage, but I didn’t see anything about the Starfinder miniatures, hopefully later today or tomorrow? *crosses fingers as I’m warming up my printer*

Do has anyone seen the promised Starfinder STLs anywhere in the wild? I have looked, but not found

We don't have any pictures, but maybe someone in the community does! We had some here at the show at Gen Con, but they virtually flew off the shelves. ㅠㅠ

Figured those would be popular. Hopefully the STL files are available soon.

Yes, they will be! And I'll double check with staff to see if anyone got any pictures that I wasn't aware of!

Do we know when or how the STLs become available. I must admit I read them as being available on the 31st July, but maybe misunderstood.

Going to follow this with great interest. Running games in person and been using pawns instead of minis. Because of the lack of minis or STL files for Starfinder. Wounder if Paizo is going to continue to make pawns for all the future adventures or is Paizo going to have STL files available for the new adventures and Monster Core.

If anyone can point me in the right direction or help keep me up to date. It would be appreciated.

They were available on the 31st physically at Gen Con! They will be available on MyMiniFactory both in printed sets and as files to print at home soon!

Our pawns are on hold right now, but we are hoping to make minis more accessible to our community in the mean time!

Well, something has been done in the shadows:

I guess that here is where the STLs are going to be available "Very SoonTM", hehehehe

Can't wait to see the actual renders of the models!

Got no problem with if Paizo is moving forward with minis and STL files over cardboard pawns. As it seems every one has a 3D printer or the price of the 3D printers are somewhat reasonable. So, if the STL files for the monster for the adventure is available. Then I'm okay, but if not. Then I would at lest like to set a PDF offered for the pawns. So people can download and make their own. As I have been doing. Otherwise there is no need in the Flip-Mats and guess for an in-person game. Everyone will need to bring a computer to the table?

Thanks, got that page marked and will keep checking in for updates.

The good thing also about STLs is that lots of local libraries have 3D printers too! If you or your friends don't have one, you can pop by a local library and still get the minis printed!

As someone who works at a library and manages the 3D prints, I can confirm this is accurate! It's also pretty cheap. I can't speak for all libraries, but ours costs 6¢ per gram, and a standard, medium-sized TTRPG figure will *usually* cost less than a dollar.

Thanks for the confirmation, and if the cost is approximately $1.00 for a medium sized figure. That is a very good cost. Probably not to much more of a cost per medium character. Than the printable vinyl sticky paper and matt board I'm using to make pawns. Left the ink and paint out.

Thanks for the information and will look to which library's and stores offer 3D printing services.

Is there any official word on when (and where) the STLs will be made available? I've been checking MyMiniFactory daily, but haven't seen anything... I'll be running Murder in Metal City later this month, and it would be great to be able to print out the pregens for my players to keep as souvenirs!

There's been a slight delay on getting the STLs online, mostly due to some pesky last-minute licensing stuff (nothing bad, but we want to make sure everything is A-OK before we post them). The intent is for us to drop the STLs for everything we had at Gen Con (Hellknight Hill models and our new Starfinder Iconic/Metal City sets), both as STLs on MyMiniFactory AND as print-on-demand via Titan Forge.

The Pathfinder Quest Crowdfunder will have a Frontier that includes MORE minis, which is set for September 16th.

My teeth are wet with anticipation as one might say. Can’t wait for this to properly come out!

Okay, any update on the Starfinder 3D STL file release date?

Also saw some of the miniatures for Battle Cry discussed. Any word on the Pathfinder STL files or is everything being released around September 16th?

So.... any news? Trying to persuade new players to have a go at Starfinder and minis would be really helpful!

Any Information on the date of release for the Starfinder Iconics STLs. I am running Starfinder at the Australian Comic Con later this month and would love actual figures to represent to Iconics.

STLs for Pathfinder Quest and Battle of Hellknight Hill and are up on MyMiniFactory.

It also looks like some of the Pathfinder Quest creatures might be exclusive to backerkit for the time being.

Based on the Tribes section at the bottom of the page, more STLs (including the Murder in Metal City pregens) will be coming starting Q1 2026.

I didn't see any more info about the Starfinder Iconics.

This is true! Some minis are exclusive to our campaign and their Frontier!

No word yet on Starfinder, but soon!

Why isn’t this partnership announcement in a blog post on the landing page?!?

3 people marked this as a favorite.

I don't want to stray too far from the thread's topic of STLs, but I would personally appreciate if there was one source somewhere on the Paizo blog that laid out all these "partnership projects", their contents, and their expected release dates.

Because there's a lot of overlap between these projects, and a lot of them have delays (or perceived delays because the announcement led us to expect something to drop earlier than you might have planned to release it). Namely:

- Pathfinder Quest (which includes exclusive titanforge minis)
- Paizo Printables Frontier (which seems to include some but not all Quest minis)
- Paizo Printables Tribe (which seems to include some minis for Quest and Murder in Metal City, and the iconics that some of us thought were releasing digitally in July)
- Murder in Metal City for Foundry (which is also delayed because of delays external to Paizo but this was only explained on a few isolated forum posts)

I feel that if there was one place to see the timelines (maybe something like the paizo project release schedule) even if it just said something like "expected fall 2025", that'd clear up a lot of the questions we had in this thread and in the comments for the backerkit and the frontier.

Why is Paizo making this so complicated? You have an online content store. STLs are digital assets. Is there a reason you can't just sell the STLs the same way as you sell PDFs? I don't want to back a crowdfunding campaign, I just want to get the models you said would be available months ago so I can use them in my games and help entice people to play (which will help you sell more games!). Seriously, why? Why not just do this the easy, obvious, way?
