Apparently, Lumley died earlier this year, back at the beginning of January. I know a lot of people disliked his Cthulhu myth is stories. To be honest, I’m one of them, although I still enjoyed them to a degree. I was a fan of his other work, however. Especially his Necroscope series, which I saw as an interesting variation on the vampire myth. And I liked a lot of his short stories.
Anyway, his stories brought me a lot of enjoyment over the years. Rest in peace.
Sorry to hear. I didn't think he was that great, but I know plenty that loved his work.
