How do I calculate settlement level

Kingmaker Second Edition

Looking at https://downloads.paizo.com/Kingmaker+Players+Guide.pdf

Page 46: settlement level equal to the number of blocks on the settlement’s Urban Grid that are completely filled

Page 47: is always equal to the number of blocks that have at least one structure

So which is it? Completely filled or at least one structure?

Unless James Jacobs weighs in you'll just have to pick one. We don't know which one is intended and honestly it's not a big difference anyway. The need to have enough residential structures will make kingdoms try and fill blocks first rather than have multiple blocks with only 1 structure.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

It'd have to be at least one structure, otherwise a settlement with less than 4 spaces filled couldn't be a settlement.

AKA: Page 46 is wrong.

Thanks James!

Thank you!
