The incensed ranger plants his next arrow through the eye socket of the pugwampi recently bitten by the snake. That arrow passes out of the back of its head, spraying its nearby companions in its blood as it falls, very dead, to the chapel floor below.

    Drael's arrow flies off harmlessly. Razif's arrow strikes the "big one", but plinks off its armour. King Mokknokk laughs a wheezy guttural chortle at Razif's look of incredulity.

    Realising that he's not likely to get closer soon, the half-orc wizard puts away his great axe and takes out his sling, preparing it to fire a sling bullet next turn.

  • The lone pugwampi guard comes cautiously behind his king, who seems to be moving gingerly but determinedly towards the edge of the choir lofts attached to the wall. The trailing pugwampi raises his bow, aiming for the blasted ranger who plugged his comrade in the head.

    The grotesque pugwampi laughs sarcastically at the errant arrow and growls to the other pugwampi in guttural Gnoll.

    He then slams into King Mokknokk in an attempt to bullrush him.

    Razif jumps across the hole in the choir loft. Where he lands, the soft wood groans and creaks in complaint.

    Miraculously, the wood holds, and Razif rushes to attempt his combat manoeuvre on King Mokknokk. The king is not unprepared, however, and swings his small warhammer at the ranger's knees as he approaches.

    Korum unleashes a blast of multi-coloured energy from his fingertips that sadly dissipates into nothing as it washes over King Mokknokk.

    The previous arrow that appeared to hit the druid was purely a mirage in the pugwampi's eyes. He screws his face up in consternation just as Drael's arrow connects with his chest.

    King Mokknokk says in Gnoll: "Your knee caps I shall wear as shoulder guards for all to see how mighty I am!"

    Korum growls and says (in Common): "You will NOT wear my friend's kneecaps as shoulder guards if I have anything to say about it!"

    Uzma makes his way to the bottom of the ladder and, seeing Korum at the top, calls upon Gozreh to aid his ally in battle.

    Layaali shuffles over a few steps. She takes careful aim with her crossbow at the armoured pugwampi before noticing another pugwampi sneaking up on Razif from behind, right at the far edge of her vision. Knowing she was a poor shot at the best of times, Layaali takes aim at the approaching pugwampi and fires a bolt at him.

    Guidance is a touch spell. It's not possible to cast it on Korum this round, but you can start climbing if you wish, instead.

    Layaali's crossbow bolt whistles by the pugwampi's head, shaving a few hairs off its scalp as it goes.

    Drael cries out as Razif hits the ground with a gut-wrenching crack.
    He fires another arrow at the guard, but begins to eye the King and debate if the massive pugwampi can make it over that gap himself.

    The pugwampi guard dodges the oracle’s crossbow bolt - barely - and laughs in righteous glee. As it turns back, Drael’s arrow passes cleanly through its throat, leaving it gurgling and spluttering for a moment before it collapses in a heap and bleeds out rapidly.

    ”Blast you to Aballon!” Korum roars at the pugwampi, firing off another acid blob at the large pugwampi king.

    The wizard scores a minor scorch on the King.

    Drael, realizing what the King's plan was, looked around with panic. Start climbing back down, we don't want to be up here when that support gives way!

    Layaali offers a short prayer to Vildeis and then moves towards the ladder. Finding it in use she ushers the others down. When the way is clear she follows them...

    Layaali recasts virtue on herself. She moves to the ladder and finds it in use. When the way is eventually clear she intends to go down it, but not until everyone else is down safe. I assume it will take a few rounds?

    Drael's arrow bounces off the chortling pugwampi king as Layaali hurries to descend the stairs (you get halfway down, Layaali). Uzma rushes from the ladder to the prone Razif's side, kneeling down to see the extent of the coughing Razif's injuries (Uzma, you can get to his side this round)

    The now-unhinged and raging Korum bellows at King Mokknokk, "You'll find that if you take us down, then you'll be going with us too, you foul beast!" With a primal roar, the wizard jumps across the gap in the choir loft floor and attempts to tackle the king as Mokknokk swings his warhammer at the wizard in self-defence!

    Jump, then Grapple attempt by the wizard, interrupted by attack of opportunity!

    Layaali, you cannot get to Uzma and heal him this round. It’s one movement action to get down the ladder and another to get to his side. I’ll allow you to keep your healing roll for next round, however.

    GM-Bot for Korum:

    Korum groans as he opens his eyes after the fall. Seeing Mokknokk smash in Uzma's nose while still on the ground maintains his infuriation, but the half-orc knows his limitations; he is a wizard after all, and not truly martial. Despite this, he slowly pulls his greataxe free from its sheath but pauses once he does so, waiting for the chance to react with his meek skill.

    Korum draws his weapon and holds his action. Uzma is still at -1 hp and is dying. Razif may act!

    My apologies! I misread and thought you had your bow in your hands. You have your scimitar, and you may take an AoO on King Mokknokk if you wish. The problem is: you’re disabled and taking the AoO would put you into the negatives. It’s your choice, but I’ll point out the fact that Mokknokk has been missed by rolls of 18 and 19 in recent rounds.
