Scarab Sages

Teaser Trailer

Apparently, Rob Zombie is a huge fan of the old show.

I mean he's a fan of old school horror...so this isn't a surprise. I was slightly surprised he's not playing Herman Munster though.

He doesn't really act in movies he directs

I thought he was in Lords of Salem though...

I don't remember him being in Lords

Never seen a single Rob Zombie film. I feel like I should; I'm a fan of horror, White Zombie's old stuff in the 90's and splatter movies from the likes of Sam Raimi, but for whatever reason I haven't seen a one. Any suggestions on what to start with?

Also I never really liked the Munsters. Did you all? I was a fan of the Addams Family a little, but by the time I was watching TV as a kid I was all about cartoons.

The Devil's Rejects, start here

Yeah Devil's Rejects is first but not necessarily the best order to watch since it starts with House of 1000 Corpses, then Devil's Rejects followed by 3 From Hell. But it's still the best of the lot in terms of movies.

You don't need to watch House of 1000 Corpses to "get" The Devil's Rejects.

Really? I kind of thought you did...but that's me.

I saw Rejects first and I got it fine

2 people marked this as a favorite.

When I worked in hotels one of the things I did was set up a hospitality suite for various celebrities.

Rob Zombie was hands down one of the nicest and down to earth people I met doing that (though Lyle Lovett was the biggest tipper).

I never considered myself a fan, but I’ve certainly watched my fair share of the old show. Same with Addams Family. My older brothers might have had something to to with that.

I enjoyed the Addams family but prefer the Raul Julia series more.

Anyways I checked and I was wrong about Rob being in Lords of Salem. He did cameo in House though.

Long walk from a blink and you'll miss it cameo in one of his seven previous films to thinking he'd cast himself as the lead in this one.
