Opptions for Entering DD Prestige class

What are some good Combinations for Entering the dragon Desciple prestige class

Looking for something unique and strong.

Prefer to be human for this.

Silver Crusade

When I played a Dragon Disciple I started as a high-strength half-orc Bard (went to Bard 8 before DD). Being a Half-Orc gave me some extra proficiencies, but a Human longspear user would work fine too.

Bloodrager or sorceror. No need to reinvent the wheel

Oh, so NOT a Kobold Pearl Seeking Paladin with Scaled Disciple? Lol.

Well then... Arcane Duelist Bard?

Paladin 2 / sorc 3 / DD X; gold dragon disciple. Look up those V only, swift action to cast or long duration spells because you're wearing heavy armor.

Bloodrager 1 / ley line guardian witch (strength patron) 4 / DD X. Yes you are very strong.

Eldritch scion magus 5 / DD X. Spell combat is nice on a melee spellcaster.

Scaled fist unchained monk 1 / sorc 4 / DD X. Mainly a spellcaster (get the prestigious spellcaster feat as necessary) but at least you have Cha to AC in melee.

Weapon master fighter 4 / bard 1 / DD X. What's spellcasting?

If you want to really focus on Str, you might consider human (Focused Study*) bloodrager 2/fighter (mutation warrior**) 3/dragon disciple 4/bloodrager +X with the Skill Focus (Knowledge [Planes])/Eldritch Heritage (Abyssal)/Improved Eldritch Heritage (Strength of the Abyss) skill chain: the +4 from the (Strength) mutagen (alchemical) stacks with the bonus strength from bloodrage (morale), the +4 from dragon disciple (advancement), the up to +6 from Strength of the Abyss (inherent), and even a belt of giant strength (enhancement). The +2 natural armor bonus from the mutagen (alchemical) also stacks with the base natural armor granted by the bloodline/dragon disciple and barkskin/amulet of natural armor (enhancement). You should probably look at obtaining a vest of stable mutation at some point to prevent the penalty to Int when under the effect of your mutagen.

*- since you have to take Skill Focus to qualify for Eldritch Heritage, you might as well get the extra Skill Focus feats at 8th and 16th

**- for Mutagen; alternately, if you don't mind reducing BAB by another +1 and giving up the bonus feats, bloodrager 2/alchemist (vivisectionist) 3/... gains Brew Potion, +2d6 Sneak Attack, some 1st-level extracts (plus the ability to use wands of cure light wounds and wands of barkskin without Use Magic Device checks), and a discovery

You don't get Mutagen from Mutagen Warrior until 3rd lvl due to the errata.

Dragonchess Player has 3 levels of Mutagen Warrior in the proposed build, so it still works.

I like combining Mutagen Warrior and Opportunist Fighter for a few extra skills and Improved Dirty Trick w/o Combat Expertise. Can always take Dirty Fighting later if you want to pursue Dirty Tricks any further. That bonus feat may be too precious in some builds, though.

Silver Crusade

Scaled fist Monk->draconic sorcerer (or, blood rager, but I prefer the sorc).

go about 3-4 levels of monk, just enough in sorc to qualify for DD, then the rest into DD. (afterwards, monk)

I've found it works exceedingly well, as you can make use of a monks unarmed attacks AND the natural attacks from the claws and bite. Not to mention you will be focusing on self buffs-

Mage armor/bracers
shield
Barkskin(monk pick up at level 4)
mirror image
blur
etc. Options are plentiful. You are tough without spells, terrifying with them.

Shadow Lodge

I played a Spell Specialist Arcanist. Half-Orc. Dragon Bloodline from Bloodline Developement(which gets boosted to full bloodline by DD) and the Orc Bloodline by taking the Heritage Feats.

Focused magic items on AC, and used Shapechanging spells to become monstrous humanoids in order to take advantage of my really high strength score(which made up for my low BaB).

It was surprisingly effective, but I was a tiny bit of a glass cannon.

human
racial heritage: kobold
scaled disciple
paladin 2/oracle 3/DD
