The AC specializations or something similar should be built into Eidolons at level 1 so I can pick what kind of Eidolon I have. Do I have a tank? A bruiser? A support? A healer? A rogue? These would provide bonuses depending on specialization such as a tank one providing AC while a bruiser provides damage. This would allow us to pick and choose what our Eidolon specializes in.

For example... AC Eidolon might give faster unarmored defense progression, bruiser might give faster unarmed progression.

That's actually not a bad idea
