As a UPS employee (though this is unofficial) I will say we have been very busy for during the pandemic as people are relying on ordering stuff than going to stores, also with Amazon not shipping things that doesn't come from Amazon.
So given the workload (while it has slowed down this month it has been very busy still), the length of this near peak season leveled period, and with the summer heat(It is for the unloaders and the loaders is doing heavy labor in 110 to 120 degree)
These a messed up times.

I can't really agree. Though it might be just the hub I work out of but I have always been treated well by upper management.
I mean they can't really help with the workload(I mean there is a pandemic), the summer heat, or anything like that.
My only issue is that as a whole they were a little slow in response to safety measures for this. But than again my Local was also slow to respond.
And I will say that when I asked my supervisor when this all started not to put me in a truck with anybody else so I can keep social distance. My immediate supervisor said 'No'. Took it up with my Union Rep and he said 'Sorry cant help you'. I went to one of the upper management and he made it happen (I have actually gotten more help from upper management than my Union to get fair treatment.)
Now this is at my own local level experience and such. And I think Unions are great...but I have always gotten along great with the Upper Managment.

UPS regularly subcontracts back to the US Post Office for the last leg of delivery. And the USPS is dealing with delivery backlogs caused by a change in priories from upper-level management (i.e. the newly-appointed Postmaster General). These changes are causing significant delays in mail delivery.
I order a LOT of stuff online, and I'm definitely seeing delivery delays: Packages that normally take 3-5 days are taking up to two weeks, and for the first time in 20 years, the USPS lost one of my packages.
