I'm super stoked for the advanced players guide with it's new classes and ancestries. I'm also hoping that it will come with an expanded weapons list. One weapon I especially I returns is my beloved Dwarven Longhammer. In 1E, it was one of the most powerful weapons you could get, 'dwarfed' only by the Butchering Axe or Orc Double Axe. I know other weapons like the Earthbreaker and Greatsword had comparable damage, but I liked that it was Dwarf specific, as the racial weapon proficiency let me, a dwarf, make it even more powerful than those weapons.
I hope the APG will bring back more of these ancestry specific weapons, because it was a really fun feeling to use a weapon others couldn't! I think specifically, it can have the same stats as warhammer, but give it Trip for its weapon trait instead of Shove. I think it make sense because dwarves are shorter than most creatures :)
What other weapons are people hoping makes a return?

I want many more advanced weapons. Kusari Gama! I am a little surprised at how many 'soft' weapons have been martial, though. Spiked Chain and Meteor Hammer is a bit unexpected as martial.
I also wouldn't mind some more interesting crossbows. Arbalests or repeating crossbows could be interesting.
A weird choice that we never saw in first edition would be a Pavise. It is a Bowman's shield, designed to be placed down as cover.

I always liked the Estoc, Elven Thornblade, Elven Leafblade, and the very late in comming Switchscythe. There is also the Flying Blade and the Crescent Blade from the Vampire Hunter D supplement.
As far as probably not going to happen. The Kasatha's Spinal Sword was a weapon that was interesting in a morbid way.

Be interesting to see how some of the weapons play out stats-wise.
In PF1, a lot of a weapon's power came from damage (obviously) and threat range. Could easily get some overpowered weapons by saying 19-20 x4 crit, or whatever.
So to see their PF2 counterparts will be interesting. Now a lot of a weapon's crunchiness comes from whether it's agile, finesse, etc etc.
Looking forward to the APG, for sure.
