Battle Form?

I'm new to Pathfinder and I'm starting with 2e, so a lot of the staple terms are confusing me since there isn't a clear explantion for them in the book and I can't find them in the index. under the Pest Form and Animal Form spells it says you turn into a "battle form" what is a battle form and what are the rules for them?

The entire rest of the spell. The "battle form" is just the animal you choose to turn into. All of the statistics and abilities that are listed in the spell are the rules of those forms.

The main gist of it, when you enter a battle form, there are some restrictions.
