Is there a device to counter "Dimensional Anchor"?

Hi All

Does anyone know of an existing item that counteracts the effects of "Dimensional Anchor"?

I should also add that it should not prevent other magic i.e. Anti Magic Field would not be appropriate.

A ring of counterspells should do it vs. spells, SLAs and items using dimensional anchor. If it appears as a supernatural ability you're out of luck, or a differently named spell with a similar effect (e.g. dimensional lock) it wouldn't help unless you targeted that spell instead - in which case it wouldn't help vs. dimensional anchor.

Anything which gives you access to dispel magic could target the effect.

I was gonna say wand of dispel magic as well. I think all spells can be dispelled unless the text specifically says otherwise. Am I right?

There's also spell spellbane. It's existance proves that it is possible to have a selective antimagic field. If you want an item, you can create one using this effect.

Way back in the 3.0 module Bastion of Broken Souls, there was an item called bracers of exit that are exactly what you're looking for. ^_^

You are correct. The general rule is that Dispel Magic works on every spell unless the spell description specifically says that Dispel Magic doesn't work on it.
