Is it helpful for us to point out errors in the text at this stage?

There are a few things I've noticed in the playtest rulebook that never got patched in the updates. Some of it seems to just be typos, like the damage progression on Telekinetic Projectile, but other stuff seems to be referencing rules that aren't in the playtest rulebook but presumably were at some point. (For example, the fighter feat Improved Brutish Shove lets you use Brutish Shove against creatures up to one size category larger than you. But Brutish Shove didn't have a size restriction in the first place as written, and the general Shove action works on creatures up to two sizes bigger by default.)

Should we be pointing this stuff out at this stage, in case the editors haven't yet? Or is the rewrite of the book too drastic to bother? For example, I wouldn't do this for anything in the first chapter because I know Jason completely rewrote that.

It probably couldn't hurt to point out such things, and potentially could be helpful, so I don't see any harm in it.

The odds are extremely high that anything you spot was already in the potential errata thread the devs were once tracking and taking notes on, and relatively low that they're going to look for such things at this late date.

Lots of stuff was known to them but not fixed in the updates; it will be in the final product.

I think you'd be wasting your time.

I think that until the book actually goes to print, anything efforts help.

There was a combined typo thread somewhere.

If no devs come in this thread to encourage it, I'd say it's a 95% chance you're setting your time on fire if you do this. Being an unpaid editor or copyreader is fine, but also duplicating old work and not having anyone even see it seems a bridge too far.

Two of the other playtests I've been involved in specifically told us not to. They'll be rewriting/editting the whole thing anyway so typos are not a particularly big concern at the moment.
