As the subject says, this is only an interest check. I likely won't be running this for a couple of months at least, but I'm curious to see if anybody would even care enough to play.
Setting/Premise
The game would be set on Earth, in modern times after some sort of cataclysm/apocalypse. Nothing truly world ending, but enough where current age firearms and military tech has been gutted, and Pathfinder guns are the norm again.
Magic is also a thing, perhaps due to a rift opening, a planar overlay or something similar created/happened during the 'event'.
PCs would be monsters, and can be as evil and vile(though keep it mostly R rated, and of course safe for the boards) as desired.
However, you would need to be humanoid(ish) or able to assume such a form. Outsiders are welcome as well. CR would probably be around 7-9.
If you have, or obtain access to the Talented Bestiary, you can build a unique monster as well.
Templates can also be, should you really want to play a monster that isn't within the CR range, to bring you up to power. We can adjust on the fly if necessary.
Gestalt
We'll be using the gestalt rules, sorta. As the main concept is for the PCs to be a monster, that's going to be where you gain all your numerical stats(HD, BAB, Saves, etc)
However, you'll also pick a class and gain all the class features as well(Sneak attack, Rage, spellcasting, etc).
Rules
In case it wasn't clear above, this is a Pathfinder game, just set on Earth. All of the normal PF rules, classes, monsters, etc are available.
3pp is absolutely okay as well. The one thing I'm going to possibly disallow is the Spheres system, as I don't know it, and am not currently looking to learn it.(It's on my list, just far down).

Bare bones at the moment, so not really worth sharing.
I was inspired by one of those writing prompt memes that make their way around Facebook every so often.
This particular one was basically a couple of lines for each prompt. Suffice to say, it's something that can easily be translated into a D&D/PF game.
It could honestly be set in a normal fantasy world, but for some reason, the idea of it being set on Earth appeals to me more. I think mostly for the shock factor(Ie, monsters aren't a big surprise/deal in your typical D&D/PF setting, but they would be on Earth, even if there's some fantasy elements.)

Buddy... I know you said you're not specifically looking to learn the spheres system, but I do have a concept for a Lurker [Cross between [humanoid] and cloaker from the Bloodforge supplement from Dreamscarred] based around feints and impaling people with a tail attack, assuming a fairly small houserule in allowing non-kobolds access to tail blades that aren't garbage a la ratfolk, while still spending character resources to obtain proficiency. I had originally intended him to be used as a single-class Conscript, but i'm sure I can figure something out to flesh him out some more, give him things to do other than "feint" and "stab people through the throat while they're flatfooted", if you're willing to hear out spheres.
And to boot, it wouldn't be a tank!
Edit: As you well know, I am also perfectly capable of using other subsystems, this is just the character concept that jumped out at me. I can surely make something that doesn't use spheres.

Interested. Would a Doppelganger be something apropriate? Just a first thought. Could totally change my mind once i look through the monsters more.

Intruiging.
Just because I'm a pain in the ass, would using a Template or the like be an option, or would we simply use a Template to scale up a class to the CR 7-9 point and use that as one side of the Gestalt, or something else? It might be a cool way to raise or lower certain monsters that would normally be too low or to high, and add in some odder choices (some templates are whacky) but it might be a pain to balance.

I am interested if Spheres ends up being allowed. I am a huge fan of the system and mostly just use that instead of regular PF stuff these days. Spheres of Might and Power.
as for concept, I really like the concept, it sorta speaks to me like a VtM/Shadowrun kinda deal.
Is CR one side of the gestalt? or in addition?
Initially, Mindflayer speaks to me as it is a favorite of mine. Also vampires are always fun to me. Or a Worm that Walks.
