Aggressive thundercloud + whirlwind

Rules Questions

Shadow Lodge

Came across the aggressive thundercloud spell from the acg, and am considering it for my storm kindler. I'm interested in how it interacts with the whirlwind ability.

aggressive thundercloud:
... If it enters a space that contains a creature, the storm stops moving for the round and deals 3d6 points of electricity damage to that creature, though a successful Reflex save negates that damage... The sphere moves as long as you actively direct it (as a move action for you); otherwise, it stays at rest and crackles with lightning. it can be moved by wind effects and counts as a Small creature for the purpose of determining how winds affect it. the sphere has no physical substance and cannot exert any force on corporeal creatures or objects. It disperses if it exceeds the spell's range.

relevant whirlwind:
a creature that comes in contact with the whirlwind must succeed at a reflex save ... or take damage... It must also succeed at a second reflex save or be picked up bodily and held suspended in the powerful winds, automatically taking the indicated damage each round.

I think a whirlwind can pick up the storm and carry it around. The whirlwind would have to save or take damage from the storm every round, but so would everything else in the whirlwind. Thoughts?

That seems reasonable, so long as the whirlwind stays in range.

Well, this should be fun.
