Is there any way to get a STR above 14 for a Non-Human Cleric or Druid?
Want to make a melee, front line version of a non-human Cleric or Druid and only bumps to STR I can find are from the Background & the 1st level bumps. Which only get's me to a Strength of 14.
No Non-Human Wild Shape Druid with a STR higher then 14
No Non-Human Cleric of Gorum charging into battle wielding a greatsword with a STR higher then 14.
....unless I'm doing something wrong.

Dwarf (+2 Wis, +2 Con, +2 *Free*, -2 Cha) - Use the Free in Str
Any background with Wis or Str, if it has Str, use the free for Wis, if it has Wis use it for Str.
Use any of the 4 level 1 boosts.
That can get you to a 16 Str, and still get you to an 18 Wis.
-----
Elf (+2 Dex, +2 Int, +2 *Free*, -2 Con) - This would preclude you from getting an 18 Wis and 16 Str, but you could get a 16 Wis/16 Str with the methods from above.
-----
Gnome - See Elf above...
-----
Goblin - See Elf above...
-----
Halfling - See Dwarf, can get to an 18 Wis, 16 Str
-----
Human - Obviously...

Here's a cheat sheet I created listing which non-human ancestries can take certain ability score combinations as ancestry boosts (obviously humans can pick any two freely). The options for str-based combos are rather sparse right now, I will agree.
Str/Dex: Elf, Goblin
Str/Con: Dwarf
Str/Int: Elf
Str/Wis: Dwarf
Str/Cha: Goblin
Dex/Con: Dwarf, Goblin, Gnome, Halfling
Dex/Int: Elf, Goblin, Halfling
Dex/Wis: Dwarf, Elf, Halfling
Dex/Cha: Elf, Goblin, Gnome, Halfling
Con/Int: Dwarf, Gnome
Con/Wis: Dwarf, Gnome, Halfling
Con/Cha: Dwarf, Goblin, Gnome
Int/Wis: Dwarf, Elf, Halfling
Int/Cha: Elf, Goblin, Gnome
Wis/Cha: Gnome, Halfling
Oh, and I guess I should add that these are the three ability score combos possible given the current ancestry lineup:
Str/Dex/Int (Elf)
Str/Dex/Cha (Goblin)
Str/Con/Wis (Dwarf)
Dex/Con/Wis (Dwarf, Halfling)
Dex/Con/Cha (Gnome)
Dex/Int/Wis (Elf, Halfling)
Dex/Int/Cha (Elf, Goblin)
Dex/Wis/Cha (Halfling)
Con/Int/Wis (Dwarf)
Con/Int/Cha (Gnome)
Con/Wis/Cha (Gnome)
3 ability score combos that are currently not possible with any ancestry:
Str/Dex/Con
Str/Dex/Wis
Str/Con/Int
Str/Con/Cha
Str/Int/Wis
Str/Int/Cha
Str/Wis/Cha
Dex/Con/Int
Int/Wis/Cha

Halfling and Gnome can't get above 14 Strength outside of a Strength-keyed class, because of their Strength penalty.

I think this thread demonstrates need for explanation in char-creation process that directly lays out all stat boosts and where they come from, and that probably goes for all feats etc. In other words, state everything that will be customized for each character and where it comes from. (although the +Free choice stuff doesn't really matter where it comes from)

One X in each cell. Add them up vertically.

sure they can.
use the "free" boost from ancenstry to counteract the malus.
use the free boost from your 4 boosts
use the boost from back ground.
you end up with a +6-2, for a net Str of 14
