The +2 AC granted from Bracers of Armor is, in terms of budget, insanely great.
While most other classes are paying 25 GP for +1 AC and saves, Monks only need to fork out 35 gp for +2 AC and +1 to saves.
I think the bonus is too frontloaded for Monks – at least Sorcerers/Wizards get to cast mage armor before they get the bracers, reducing the potential benefit from acquiring a pair.
I think perhaps a set of bracers of armor that only adds a +1 item bonus to AC could be made available for, say, 100 sp?

May change the bracers of Armor to be more in line with the handwraps of mighty fists - no base bonus but enchantable like an amor
so you get specifically the enhancement bonus (and the etched runes) everyone gets with upgrading armors - this is actually how I imagined the bracers
the bracers the way they are now are...well, not nice...

What are you on about?
Monks pay 35 gold for a +1 to AC from a 1st level Bracers of Armor. Most other classes can pay a measly 2 silver for a set of padded armor and get +1 to AC.
The monk is coming out way behind in terms of the gold being paid to boost their AC.
Expert padded armor with a +1 potency rune is about 60 gold and matches the benefits of Bracers of Armor 2nd level which costs 90 gold.

Bracers of Armor should be able to accept Armor Properties just like a set of Armor should. It's silly to say that they can't.
